I have been going to Gibson for over 13 years.. still the greatest guy with best service & prices..Tells you potential problems but doesn t hard sell anything..I ve referred many to him & everyone is happy

Fast, affordable, quality service! Was in and out in about 45 minutes for a routine tire rotation. Will be coming back for our other vehicle!

Took my 2017 Mazda6 here after I had random instances of my car not responding to acceleration. Putnam Mazda gave me a $1000 service quote for spark plug replacement + fuel intake system cleaning without even opening the hood. Gibson at Automotive City drove the car, took a look under the hood and said he didn't find any obvious issues. Since the issue happened randomly, he just asked me to bring it in the next time it does happen. For now, he just did an oil change + tire rotation and charged a very reasonable price. He was straightforward throughout and answered all my questions patiently. I don't know if my acceleration issues are solved, but at least Gibson was honest about what he found and what he could do. I've been happy with Gibson. I have a 4wd truck that I beat on pretty hard, and I bring it in beat up, with sand and mud in the filters, so sometimes he gets mad and yells at me, lol. He does a good job on all my vehicles, and I've been happy with him. Gibson is the Perfect mechanic - I can rest assured that everything has been checked and is in perfect order - including all fluids.I've been taking my cars to Gibson for over 10 years, and have met other customers that bring their cherished Jags & BMWs down from San Francisco to him in San Mateo (I drive from San Leandro!).

Gibson is a really friendly, professional, punctional, and fair person. I respect him, his work is solid, and his prices are reasonable. Gibson has been taking care of my cars for years. He is kind, competent, quick, and offers a good price. My VW Cabrio made it over 300,000 miles thanks to his fine skills!

I've brought my car here numerous times and been nothing but extraordinarily happy with the service. I love coming here everybody is knowledgeable and professional. Gibson has done most of my work and has only charged me for what I needed. Always get a great deal here. Will not go to any other mechanic as long as I live in Northern California
