The service was friendly when I did interact with the technician for my smog check. They also honored my coupon. I was waiting for them to service other drivers but that went as quickly as it seemed like it should ve.The shop is pretty dirty and the signage could use some changing out. But the reason for knocking a star is because the technicians don t acknowledge you when you come in. You need to say something to them even when you re standing next to them. If they could do a better job at acknowledging their customers, this would be a good place to go for smog checks.

Well the first time I went there I waited in the office for about 10 mins. No one was in the office so I stepped outside and both guys were with a customer but they obviously saw me. Then one guy was done talking and he got in a car and left. So I waited about 10 mins outside and during the entire time neither of them acknowledged my presence at allNo one asked if I needed help and no one did I'll be with you soon, nothing! So I walked by one guy who was still talking to a customer, got in my car and left. As I was leaving the other guy pulled in.I decided to go back a couple of days later because I was gifted the smog check groupon from a friend. The one guy who smoked my car was very pleasant. When I told him I had a Groupon he said that the fine print stated out of state vehicles only. But he said that they were trying to change that with Groupon so he was going to enter their qr code and see if it was accepted and it was so he honored the Groupon. So even though I was a bit annoyed the first visit, the 2nd visit made up for it as he was pleasant and friendly... Plus my car passed.

Groupon deal is only out of California State. It's in the fine print. I need to dispute my credit card charge.

Literally one of the worst companies you could go to. I discovered them through Groupon, Groupon was offering a deal on top of everything, and upon arrival I let them know I had a Groupon. They flat-out refused service and told me to get a refund. Are you serious??? who does business this way?I asked him why they're even on Groupon. He claimed that they, the company, couldn't do that, because "Groupon wouldn't let them take their stuff down" - completely sketch. BUYER BEWARE

Groupon coupon not valid for vehicles requiring STAR certified testing. There are other $20 coupons online, but total will run to $60 plis $8 for the certificate.Otherwise, fast and professional.

Pros: Service was done quickly and smoothly. Credit card accepted. That's why I gave it 3/5.Cons: They over charged, 88$ (this has been an issue of this test facility according to a lot of other reviews). Go to others or get a coupon from the Groupon, you can easily find a $40 deal of similar quality service.Lessons learned - just do some home work.Service: Smog certification

Took my 45 year old car here. Ben knows his cars. It took a good part of a half hour because you can't just plug an old car into the computer. I'll be back.

Great experience. My mom took in her Camry and it was not able to pass because she had recently changed her battery so she needed to re-populated on both computer. They were knowledgeable and when we came back, they only charge us for the certificate. Max was very kind and helpful.

Updated review:Be careful. I just left. Smog technician tried to swindle me for extra money because I had a cat protector plate on. I am pretty positive the label/identifier present and accessible. He wanted me to pay him otherwise he would not pass.I told the manager who was very understanding and also upset at situation because he was unaware. The money was returned back to me. This is unfortunate because I've been coming for almost 6 years and have brought my vehicles here at least 8 or 9 times, and have recommended them to many SM friends. That won't be happening any longer.-----2yrs ago...Needed to get a smog test done on short notice without a lot of time on hand.This is the second smog test I've done over the past two years now over the last 2 years. These guys are true professionals and very easy to work with extremely efficient and very accommodating from a customer service standpoint.I pulled in let them know that I had to get a smog test on short notice and they we're able to quickly run test with the understanding that my son was with me and there was a lot of time.A few minutes later paperwork on hands ready to go thank you so much 4 Smog. They will take care of you. Would go back again soon for next check.

Only gave it one star because I can t give it zero stars. Showed the owner my coupon for a smog check for $29.75 + $8.25 certificate with one free retest. He acknowledged it. I got charged $39.75, and he wrote $10 + $8.25 for the certificate at the bottom of the forms when I paid (my car failed the test). Dodgy business practices. Don t use this 4Less Smog Check. Currently filing complaints with regulatory boards, etc.

HORRIBLE!!! I failed smoke check and the guy said he will help me to pass it if I pay him extra. I agreed but it didn't work. I waited my time, gas, and money. DO NOT recommend their service!!!Unfortunately, I don't remember the guy's name. He seemed like having down syndrome. I was very polite with him but in return he was very mean to me. The worst experience in my life.Service: Smog certification

Called ahead and went there 2x, smog guy still wasn't there. So they told me he would be there in 2 hours. I asked about the price, owner told me it would be complicated on a van, blah blah blah. Wanted to super overcharge me. I found somewhere else down the road on 21st ave that was cheaper and available right then.

Great service. Friendly technician and very knowledgeable. When engine light was on he asked me to get it corrected before smog test as it will fail. He saved my money and time. He did a thorough job after I brought it back. Highly recommend this business and specially technician.

Shady, very shady... Guy said he only takes cash. He forgot the credit card thingy .. It s a business buddy!! Come on!! Not to mention he never said anything until the first guy was finished.. 40 minutes later and I still had one person in front of me. They must have changed ownership. They used to be great!!

Overpriced, sketchy pricing, cash only notification after the fact.Sketchy since it was quoted at 89 but when we had to run across 4 lanes to the nearest atm and came back...he pocketed 100. We went inside to tell him that he didn't give our teen son change, and said "oh, sorry (feeling around his pocket for change) well I will give you a discount, we usually charge 99"Mmmm hmmmm.

He was really fast at the completing the smog check which I really appreciate. However, it costs $79 which is much more than other places, in addition, they only accept cash which he did not let me know until after completion. Okay fine, I'll go to the ATM to grab cash, I come back and he doesn't have change. Finally, musters up $10 change, even though he owes me back $11. I'm not mad about a single dollar, but if you are going to require me to pay cash, please have appropriate change for your customers. I would recommend shopping around before going here.

A smog check should cost between $30 and $70 this smog check station charges $88 and prefer cash. My car was already on ramp and some cord hooked into it so I couldn't leave elsewhere... You decide if you should go here or not. (Nobody like to feel overcharged and ripped off)

Be sure to call ahead, since the times posted on their website are incorrect. They don t appear to be open on Sundays, as advertised. I wasted a trip over there.

Called in advanced asking as they accept printed coupon.When I brought the coupon was told that there is additional $10 dollars charge as "TEST ONLY STATION" is required. Nothing about this additional charge were mentioned in coupon neither during our conversation over phone . it is really cheap, unfair approach to run business

Rick did a super-quick job of testing my daughter's car and Mert handled the paperwork in no time. I was in and out in a flash! They're professional and reasonable, too! I definitely recommend these guys!

They are very rude and overpriced!I m a type of a person that likes supporting small businesses, but not this one!For 3 reasons1-(Customer service)The man doing the SMOG test wrote the license plate number wrong, when I went back to fix it he started yelling and became aggressive.2-(Overpriced)They usually charge $89 for a SMOG test. I didn t know how much it costs to get one, but after looking around I found that a SMOG test cost from $28-$50 Maximum.3-(Dishonesty)If they give you a discount they will not honor a retest!! Against what they advertise!

Smog was ok but price was ridiculous. $79 for standard smog. They did give me a $20 coupon when they noticed I was walking out the door. But even after tax and everything the check still came to $68 which is too much. You can find them for $40 elsewhere. I came here as three fiesta

Terrible service. I needed a smoke check. The guy tried to get more money out of me. Even after I gave him a coupon he said I needed to pay some extra fees +$10. I told him that 5 minutes ago he told me a different price. He said "oh okay okay." NEVER GO THERE!Service: Smog certificationService: Smog certification

I had a groupon for my Smog check on 7/29/2021, and when I told the attendant Miguel about it, he informed me that since I didn't mention it at the VERY beginning, that he would not honor it, costing me not only the groupon, but an additional 88 for the service. You can't beat this place. I was in-and-out in 15 minutes with no appointment. I paid in cash and got the $5 off deal - so $35 total for my 2002 Hyundai. Friendly, fast service. I'll definitely be back the next time I need a smog check.

Got here at 4:45 and they said they were closed. Supposed to be open until 6. I did call then a couple hours prior to confirm.

Faster than a speeding ticket. These guys texted to congratulate my car passing before I had my second bite of ice cream next door at yumi yogurt. Thanks for making this painless!There is a yelp coupon, make sure you mention it!

I went somewhere else. Waste of my time.I found their coupon on smogtips.com for 29.75 + cert fees. Went there and a guy demand a printed coupon. I asked if I can show it to him on my phone. Answered was NO. He needed proof for his boss.Oh well, I got in my car and drove to another test station and got the job done.
