In the past 2 months, I purchased nearly $3,000 worth of tires (14) from San Martin Tires. 4 - Mercedes SLK, 4 - Mercedes E class, 4 - Sundowner trailer, 2 - 3/4 diesel truck. After Mr. A (the manager) ask me to reset my E Class tire pressure on the computer, I was puzzled, because why did he or his staff not set it for me? In apprehension that something was wrong with the workmanship, I went ahead and checked the tire pressures for all the tires that they put in.....EVERY TIRE HAD WRONG PRESSURES. For example, my E-class had higher tire pressure in the front over the back. My trailer tires were each 10lbs under inflated, so were my truck tires. My SLK tires were all under inflated. When I addressed this issue with Mr. A, he blamed his tire pressure gauge. I have heard of many lame excuses in my lifetime, this was a new one for my list. I really wanted these guys to get my business versus the big tire chains, even when I had to pay more over the tire chain companies. CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURES after service. Unfortunately, I have to return to San Martin Tires for tire rotations. I will go because I paid for it, even though I regret ever stepping foot in their lot.Feb 6....I went in for a tire rotation for my Mercedes E class. I observed what Mr. A was doing and was baffled that he rotated my rear wheel drive car as though it is a front wheel drive car.Per Michelin for vehicles that are rear wheel drive, the proper rotation pattern should be: Rear tires are moved to the forward axle and kept on the same side of the vehicle while the front tires are moved to opposite sides of the rear axle (left front goes to the right rear, and right front goes to the left rear). What Mr. A did was: Rotated my tires in a forward cross pattern. He swapped the left front with the left rear and the right front with the right rear.I just want quality (the right kind of) service for my money. I happen to know something about cars. I find that this shop has repeatedly demonstrate that they really do not know what they are doing. If the manager (Mr. A) cannot demonstrate his competence, I have zero trust on his staff. I paid for 2 more tire rotations, which I will be happy to forego. I can never return or recommend this shop for any type of reliable service.

Armando is very honest with high integrity. I recommend everyone goes here for all their tire needs (repairs and/or new tires)!

A little steep for a plug patch $20. Normally $12-$13. But when you have emergency... They were there....

Armando was extremely rude and disrespectful had no manors have never ran into someone so rude in my life he said one price then ended up changing it at the end and then proceeded to try to say is my English not good enough for you when I clearly spoke Spanish both of my parents Mexican I will never be coming back here in my life again and suggest none of you to come here I have never wrote a review on any place but the way he was acting was outrageous when asked for his name he just laughed and said Armando clearly does not know how to run business or maybe just an a hole

Best tire shop in town! Locally owned, small town shop with fast service and no run around. They get the job done be it repairing small leaks (plug or patch) to purchasing a new tire set (I have found that they are competitively priced vs. larger name brand shops..and you don't have to wait hours for service!) Shop local!

I was very satisfied with my experience at San Martin Tire today. My husband called yesterday late afternoon and asked if they had my tires in stock, they said they would have the tires in the morning. Armando called me this morning and said my tires were in. I pulled up and they began on my car right away. In 20 minutes I was on my way! Great service and reasonable prices!

My whole family's been going here for years religiously, and each time I have a tire problem too far out in the bay where I can't ride on the spare for too long, I'm reminded how great they are. They outperform in price, confidence of technicians, time and friendliness whether compared to a chain or another small operation.I've even got the tools and skills to change tires in my own garage, but between how fast San Martin Tire is and the price of my own time removing old tires, installing new ones, and properly balancing them, it's not even worth doing myself! I'm local, but I'd still come here to do tire stuff even if I lived in Sunnyvale, Fremont or Hollister.

These guys are great and fast. I had a flat tire that had a screws in it. Alfredo found a second nail also. $30 for 2 patches and in less than 30 minutes, I was on the road. Anytime my cars need brakes or tires, I'm going here.

The employees were courteous and respectful. They worked proficiently as a team and were able to service many customers at the same time expeditiously. And the price was much more reasonable than I was quoted elsewhere. I was very happy with the result.

San Martin Tires gets right down to the point, and gives you what you're looking for without any extra sales pitching, like Jiffy Lube or those other places that shove extras down your throat.First look appearances, it doesn't look all spit shine and polished up, but the ratings on Google kept me pulling in. Glad I did.I told them what I want, they quoted me a price and got me in and out in around 30 minutes. The great part was the price they quoted per tire actually included ALL the extra stuff they do when they sell and mount tires. (Some places only quote you the tire price... then the extras get tacked on at the register! Ug.... But when I looked at my receipt, there was no extra Ug!)They back up their work with 3 free tire rotations, (KEEP THAT RECEIPT PEOPLE!!!). Today was a pleasant surprise indeed.

This place makes me appreciate small business. The customer service is great. They are friendly, accommodating and honest. They lent me a tire so I could get to work till mine came in the next morning.

Overcharge for simple labor. To take a tire off of a rim $15. For each tire. 4 tires $60. Way to much just to take a tire off.Went somewhere else near there shop for $8 each tire =$32. What a difference!

Bought rotors and brakes for my Cadillac to be put on all around my vehicle, charged me 480.00 and that was in February . Last month my wife came from work and said the brakes were sounding real bad. Take it to another mechanic , come to find out they put used brakes and left the same rotors on my car. Don't go there , not only are they dishonest , but they took advantage of my wife because she had to leave the car there overnite. Rip offs.

Stopped by for a tire repair, was kinda pricey $30 considering I brought in the bed of the truck and I did not have them reinstall it or the spare. They weren't very busy a did the work right away, but didn't rebalance the tire afterwards even though they removed a weight.EditYou told me $35 because I requested a plug patch, but you forgot to tell the technician, who installed a regular patch. When I balked at the price you told me it would be $30, but I do see that you only charged me $25 after checking my reciept. I can see the outline of where the wheel weight was removed so the the tire could be dismounted but it was never put back on and not balanced. FYI i am an ASE master technician. Not sure how you can justify not balancing a wheel after removing material and then adding a patch, they're not weightless. Also you never quoted me a price to do they repair in the 1st place. Thank you for reaching out to address this but you too should include all the facts

I suddenly dropped pressure on one truck tire (F150, nothing monstrous) just north of the E San Martin Ave exit, leaving Morgan Hill. I took the exit, drove a few blocks, and, lo and behold, San Martin Tire. "Cars and Trucks". I drove in, and there was a real gaper in the tire, which was fairly new. They plugged the whole and got me back on the road home to LA in about 40 minutes at a price most reasonable. That was about 3 years ago, and the tire is doing just fine!! (Wish I had known about the cafe next door.)

I had a flat and went in to get it patched, they chipped the lip of the wheel, a part on the inner face of the wheel and all around the Lug Nuts. When i confronted the tech who did it he simply said he wasn't responsible, never going back here again. Going to cost more to repair the chips and scratches than what it would've cost to take it to a professional shop.

Good prices and great service. Always fast tire changes or patches. Very important when you run a service company and people are waiting on your arrival.
