This is the 1st positive experience I've had while taking car for smog test. Very comfortable waiting room and polite owner who takes pride in his business. Smog test was completed quickly & easily. Thank you, High Tech!

Matt - the owner I believe - is great. He was able to fit me in immediately after I found out I needed smogging while at the nearby AAA getting my car registration. The service was quick, affordable, and Matt was as nice as can be. I highly recommend this place. Excellent service!

I absolutely love bringing the company vehicles here. The customer service is consistently awesome. People who actually act like they love what they're doing. Its clean (for a mechanics shop ) , lots of comfortable seats, and they just blaze that A/C! Its 100�f outside right now and I'm chilling. Watching motortrend tv. 10/10

It's weird to love a smog shop. But we have several cars at my work. It's so easy to book a time slot, head in and get smogged quickly. The lobby is welcoming and the guy that has helped me for years is always friendly.

Amazing! Truly is a place that you feel welcome. I've brought no less than 4 different vehicles there, never an appointment, and they always accommodate. I do, and will continue to recommend High Tech Auto to anyone requiring all your smog needs. They are the most knowledgeable around, no question.

Appointments are recommended as this is a long-standing and honest shop. My own mechanic recommends his customers to come here. In addition to performing regular smog checks and test only checks for customers, this shop trains smog technicians. No repairs are done here, avoiding a potential conflict of interest. Fair prices, discounts for re-testing, folks who work in San Marcos and potentially other types. This is a family-owned and run business. This is the only place I have gone for six years now.

Very honest, clean, and fair smog shop. I have been to other places where they charge you an arm and a leg and hassle you on everything, however, Matt from High Tech Auto has always been super helpful and straightforward. Even if you fail your inspection, he can give you advice and point you in the right direction as what you may need to do to safely pass. 10/10 would recommend for anyone in need of smog.

Quick, to the point, affordable; No BS. My kind of service.Make an appointment, come in, be done in less than 30 minutes and have a nice day. That's what I'm talking about!Hell... while I was there some guy just walked in without an appointment and the guy still took care of him no problem. Granted I was the only one getting services so there was no wait, but like I said quick, affordable, no bs service.

This guy is no joke he run's his business very respectively. You never leave there wondering what your next step is especially if U just failed your smog. He gives you a recommendation and one of his recommendations ended with us having a regular mechanic and when that one retired we got our second regular mechanic from his recommendation. His name escapes me at this moment but Thank u! I appreciate ur service.

This place is amazing. I dropped my car off at lunch time to get a smog and I had to pick it up after I got off at 5PM. Even though they close at 5PM they waited for me with a smile. I've used this location several times now and have never been let down. Great customer service, personable, and professional as well as efficient.

Clean, friendly, professional, helpful. They'll test old cars (some stations won't). They'll explain the test results. They're so much better than everywhere else I've gone. Highly recommended.

Most HONEST auto shop I ever went to. Restroom and lobby area is cleaner than some of the restaurants I've been to. Very nice and courteous people. My Ford F350 diesel truck had broken dip stick which would've been automatic smog fail. Instead of failing it and charging me they asked me to get it replaced and come back (knowing that I may not come back). And I did go back. I appreciate the honesty and will take ALL my cars and trucks to High Tech Auto and HIGHLY recommend these guys to anyone.

I started going here about three yrs ago. Not only are they fast, but also have great prices. The customer service is great and they make you feel right at home. This is my go to place.
