They'll invade your privacy in order to jack up the monthly rate of your auto insurance! I never bother to do the verified odometer reading each year when it's time to renew my policy since the amount I drive can change from year to year. This year it's gone up due to working two jobs now in order to keep up with the skyrocketing cost of living. Especially since my partner also lost his, I'm having to pay for everything!I got a letter from them saying they use public government records such as smog checks from the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) to verify the accuracy of odometer readings. It was only because of some California law called Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act that required them to send me a notice saying they used those records to find out the amount of miles on my car and used that information to increase the annual mileage rating on this year's auto policy renewal. As a result, the minimum monthly amount I have to pay has increased. WELL EXCUSE ME FOR HAVING TO WORK TWO DAMN JOBS NOW IN ORDER TO PAY ALL THE BILLS!!! NOW THIS ONE HAS GONE UP EVEN MORE LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE HAS! IT'S INSULTING AND FEELS LIKE A SLAP IN THE FACE!

Absolutely useless place. They can't register my car because I need a salvage title.They don't want to pay me compensation for an accident where an insured in aaa person crashed my parked car right under my house.I SEE NO REASON TO PAY FOR THEIR MEMBERSHIP.All they able to do is send me tons of scam, about my life insurance, which I did not ask for.

I told the front desk lady I was there for passport photos. She said there was only one person filing in. I said that's ok. Sat down for photo's and she goes" Give a little smirk, that always seems to work". I should have run. The girl that I had to suffer thru is NOT A REAL TRAVEL AGENT. Looking back I think the front desk was trying to warn me.

THIS IS FOR SAN MARCOS AAA SPECIFICALLY!!! The only reason I would give this a one is because the general check-in employees are very nice and professional. However, the woman that handles, the DMV processing is beyond rude, unprofessional, and has been given too much power in her mind. She has done nothing but reject every time we go in to handle a DMV issue, with her rules!! She needs to retire. We only go to Escondido now!! The Esco office is the best!!!! Visit Dennis he is amazing !!!!!

If I could give them a ZERO stars I would. I've had the worst experience with AAA since I opened up my policy with them back in August 2022 we are in May 9 months later and still an issue. The sales representative Mayra Vasquez opened my policy at a certain price, was provided my list of monthly payments. Then a 3 weeks later I get a letter in mail stating that the underwriter changed my policy payment which increased. I was setup with Autopay, the day before the payment was suppose to be withdrawn I received another email stating I was going to be changed an increase amount. AAA never notified me about this increase in writing or email. So I walked into the AAA office and was told no one could help me beside the person who help me with my policy. I had to call Mayra multiple times, till I was able to speak to her over the phone, she stated it was going to be adjusted and corrected to the original amount, well that didn't happen. She only credit my account a one time payment, which was never a payment paid by me, it was a credit payment by AAA which was posted incorrectly. So ever since then my account been messed up. The aren't capable of issuing a policy correctly or applying credits correctly and for the correct amount. I've tried calling corporate office and spoken to multiple people and none of them care to give me call back. My calls and notes are all recorded in there system and they don't care to resolve an issue with their customer. I hope people really think twice before getting insurance here, they don't care, they overcharge you and cancel your policy knowing they still haven't even resolved an issues pending that they been notified about. I will be reporting this to NAIC.

Just know that if you do DMV business here, these jokers take weeks to cash a check and only take checks, because you know, why would they take a debit card. Other than the roadside service, AAA is completely worthless...do not waist a dime here...it's simply not worth it. To AAA, get it together and enter the 21st century, like everyone else.

The clerks are always quick and efficient, especially 5 mins before closing, lol! Kidding aside, this is my favorite AAA location. I paid my car registration and membership renewal and was out within 10 mins. This is their standard. In & Out! Last year same thing as they conducted business from the covid kiosk...you know 2020. And this location is very clean and like new. Cheers!

Very easy to get to ample parking, friendly people. Surprised this office wasn't crowded like the one in Oceanside. When I was there at 3pm there were only 2 customers and I was one of them. This will definitely become my AAA office of choice.

A delightful place to go. The owner was very friendly and sweet. I got the Thai tea and my daughter got the green tea ice cream. Both were very good and delicious. The Thai tea was one of the best I have had. My daughter loved the ice cream. We will definitely return again.

I have been a member of AAA my whole life and it is worth it!! The DMV services offered at AAA offices make your day a lot easier! The agents at this location are extremely helpful, professional and accommodating.

I needed to switch titles of a car, pay a registration fee and show proof of a smog check. The staff helped me get through the process in a quick efficient manner. I only spent about 15 minutes there. Very satisfied with the friendly service too!

I've had AAA for the 4 years I've been driving. They have covered me more than excellently in any accident I've been involved in. When I was hit by an uninsured motorist, they handled evey part of the accident. My car was taken care of and everything was replaced, not repaired. They put me in a rental even though I was 17 and they upgraded me free. If you are to cheap to pay for rental coverage then they don't give you a complimentary rental in the case of an accident, kinda common sense. When I crashed my car brand new BMW into another brand new BMW (neither of us even had our state plates yet) they covered me, again without any pressure or issues, everything again was replaced, not repaired. They covered the other party and myself with equivalent vehicle rentals.As for this office specifically, they are amazing. They know me by name and have helped me out with anything I had issues with, including the transfer of my vanity plates as well as ordering some for my other vehicle with an amazing attitude. They are a fun group and are very personable. I've recommended many family members here and they all have had the same great experience. If you had an issue here before, I highly recommend you go in and ask for Quincy, he will help you out and explain everything clearly.

I went to the AAA in Escondido but they weren't allowing people inside due to COVID19. I filed my claim by phone. About 10 days later my car was fixed. The rental they provided was great. They did a great job.

This place has great service. They have never let me down. Tanya did a great job of setting me up with my Life Insurance and a savings plan. She went above and beyond to make sure everything got done right away and worked with my schedule. Definitely recommend to everyone.

SUCH an incredible experience! I came in at 4 PM on a Tuesday (yes, during Covid), and I was in and out in less than a half hour. No appointment either, I was a walk up that happened to stop by on the way home from work.What to expect right now during COVID:-There is a shaded booth set up out front where they ask what you need. You fill out a form on a clipboard outside and then you go inside to pay/get any documents needed. So fast! I was able to pay my registration, get a replacement title for my car, change my name and my address, all in aboir 1/10th of the time it would have taken at the DMV.-They are following Covid rules closely (must wear masks, social distance inside, glass windows between you and the employee etc.).Payment Methods:They're only accepting cash/check right now so don't forget your checkbook, otherwise you'll need to stop by an ATM (plenty of banks around the shopping center if you're in a pinch).Customer Service:Holy cow, everyone was so incredibly friendly and helpful! They even offered me a AAA branded bottle of water while I waited! The ladies at the outside booth were extremely kind and didn't make me feel rushed or hurried when I had questions. The lady that helped me inside was also so wonderful that the customer service experience almost made me forget that I was at AAA. With free water bottles, A/C inside and great customer service, they're basically only a shoulder massage away from feeling like a day spa instead of a AAA office. 10/10!

Got a triptik map but nothing else. Not sure if they are supposed to help figure the mileage that you want to drive each day and of the best closest location to stop and set up hotels but the person we had was not willing to do that. Just wanted to know the location we wanted to stop in and the hotel and then she would be able to help with that but that was the problem my parents didn't know what city they would be at and State if they only wanted to drive 460 miles each day. So I just took them at home with me to figure it out for them.

The customer service here is amazing. Everyone I ve dealt with at the from is so helpful and Milissa, one of the travel agents, was so helpful. She helped us plan our trip to Japan and we had a great time in Japan. We will definitely be be going back to her when we plan our trip to northern Italy.

They were of great help to me after my stickers and handicap sign were taken from my car. A friend with triple AAA took me their. She placed me on her card for 6 months and I left with a new sticker and a sign. Just needed my doctors original form and car insurance paperwork and vechical registration. I can't thank my sweet neighbor enough and the staff at San Marcos triple A.

AAA goes above and beyond for all of our needs. Where else could you do DMV services, all insurance needs and travel discounts, all in one place? I have been a member for 20+ years and will never go any where else. I strayed 2x and regretted it both times. Customer for life.

I was treated poorly by a really rude employee named Sharon. She seems to suffer from mental confusion, and unable to provide clear answers. Instead of taking responsibility for her own ineptitude, she blamed me and talked down to me like I was the stupid one. I do not pay for a membership so I can be treated like this. Sharon s attitude is unacceptable. This office has bad customer service and the employees are impatient and condescending.

Sad state of affairs...AAA won't let you speak to any humans by phone now because of covid...so if you are trying to let your "fingers do the walking" and save time and gas money...don't count on it. Even today, when one office had its DMV site offline for getting car registration done...you couldn't call another office and ask a human about their DMV capability.

DMV service is exceptional. I do all my transactions here because they know how to get it done. Even my complicated title change from another state that had a vin error was completed in a timely manner.It's not AAA's fault that the CA DMV rules are complicated and fees may not make sense, that's a different issue.

I wish I could give a - star review this is the worst AAA office I have ever been to.... I showed up to this office with only one person in front of me they had me sit down and they had 6 people come in behind me and get helped first. I was doing an out of state transfer and they told me I had to get my vehicle weighed when I got there and I looked it up while I was waiting on the dmv Web site and saved it. Then I got helped for one second with some paper work then told to sit back down an hour later the same person came to help me again. He started in with getting my vehicle weighed and I showed him the dmv Web site so he went and got 2 other workers to argue with me about it. another hours more of arguing about the weight issue and my vehicle was registered to me. 3 and a half hours there. I would of had a better time at the dmv or getting a root canal.

Very unfriendly staff..avoid this location, if possible. I read on-line that AAA members are allowed to fax for free and when I got there, I was abruptly told (shouted at actually by a woman behind the counter and sitting in a chair) that it was not true and I must have read about another Auto Club. Well, I did not imagine it....but is it really too much of a bother to let a member fax a document? Horrible representation and horrible company. BTW, I have been a AAA Member for 15 years! Nice job, AAA.Here is what I just copied from the internet: Faxing is free at most office locations for AAA members and available only to members. If you're not currently an AAA member you can join and get the benefits of their roadside assistance help along with the ability to fax items for free

Helpful, fast and such a nice environment to get paperwork processed that Is required by the DMV. They also have a wonderful travel department, knowledgeable and with the same courteous service as everyone else in this office.
