Buy your auto from Smith Volvo!I worked with Brendan and Rob to purchase a vehicle from a BAT auction they hosted.SVC was responsive, descript, and honest about the vehicle prior to purchase sight unseen. Everyone there was pleasant and delightfully accommodating. The customer service and value have been an unmatched experience for me.They offered to help ship the vehicle to me at the cost of their time for my convenience. Rob saved me $800 in shipping and I can't be more thankful.I had a wonderful car buying experience which I believe you could also enjoy if you were to purchase one of their automobiles. I highly recommend them.Buy the one you are looking at from Smith Volvo Cars!

It s taking me a long time to write this review.However, during the summer my air-conditioning went out on my XC 90. My local dealer here in Fresno always seems to cater to Range Rover and Jaguar owners. Volvo customers are not treated with the same respect.I reached out to Smith Volvo and worked with David. He was very sympathetic from the start.I was able to have my car towed to San Luis Obispo, and his team found a leak. What s phenomenal about this place is David did not want me to drive the 2 hours without ensuring that the issue was 100% resolved - especially having a toddler.He asked to keep the car for further observation. Not only did they find the initial leak, they discovered freon was coming out of the car which was a MAJOR fix.I did not have to drive there, he made everything convenient for me.I plan to come here for any service as San Luis Obispo is beautiful anyway. But David is awesome! He has absolutely wonderful customer service skills and truly cares about the Volvo customer.This is my expectation for owning a luxury vehicle as opposed to the nightmare I experienced with my local dealer.I can t wait to meet him in person!

Great experience! They sell based on the fixed price model which is really a time saver and stress reducer format. The price was more than fair and the used car was impeccable with waxed delivery, everything working and just plain an all above board transaction. I would highly recommend it and I am going back to have some work done on my other car

We bought a used Porsche from Smith Volvo, traveling from out of state to basically buy a used car sight unseen. While our salesman was helpful and knowledgeable, it was really Smith Volvo's partnership with SGS Independent Porsche Care and Nathan's expertise that closed the deal. Nathan had serviced the car for years and was able to provide history and copies of maintenance records that gave me full confidence in the car. When we did run into an issue after driving it home 700 miles, Smith Volvo worked with us to resolve it, even though it was a used car with no formal warrantee. Completely professional and up front organization... highly recommend them for used and new cars!

I had a very expensive repair that took all day. I drive from another community 50 miles away and had no way to get back home. I was prepared to stay there near the dealership for the day, but they offered a rental car! I was so grateful to be able to go home and make use of the day. As it turned out they weren't able to complete the job that day, but I had the rental so was able to return the next evening to pick up my car.I have an older volvo and I have had it in-and-out of there several times over the last couple of years and trust their service.

This is the only dealership in SLO and SB counties. It's a beautiful drive and hanging out in SLO is easy and fun while repairs are being made. Their communication is tops, with text message updates along the way. The service department and staff are excellent and always friendly. Most recently I had an extended warranty update and they had my car for 3 days. Smith Volvo has a relationship with nearby Hertz, where I booked a rental. After dropping my car off at Smith, Dave, in the Smith service department, arranged for an Uber (which Smith paid for) to drive me to Hertz. Later, a Hertz staffer shuttled me back to Smith. The process was as smooth as could be. I feel my car is well taken care of by the professionals at Smith Volvo who deliver service with courtesy, kindness, and a sparkling clean car, too!

Came in for a check engine light on SUV, unfortunately it was more of an issue than I was hoping for.However, Smith Volvo does great work, and has a curtious, friendly staff who clearly communicated what the challenge was and quickly share time and price for the repair.All went well..Thanks to the service team..

Scott is AMAZING!! From the initial email when I inquired about test driving, to meeting him for the test drive, to his willingness to take the time to teach all of the ins and outs of the Volvo before we drove it. Then his attentiveness when emailing about the car and deciding on making the purchase. After the paperwork was filled out he spend another 30-45 minutes helping set everything up in the car and teaching me how to use all of the different features. He also made the effort to reach out and make sure everything was going great on the car and said if I had any questions ever to contact him or stop by and he would help me with my needs. The finance department was great also, they had all of my paperwork filled out when I arrived and all I had to do was sign the papers and I was on my way. I would recommend Smith Volvo 10 times over and over again. They really go above and beyond and make your car buying experience so exciting, instead of a daunting task like most dealerships.

Smith Volvo is the only place I buy cars. I've been buying cars from Mark, Rob and Scott for years. They're great people, knowledgeable about their cars, and are always fair on price. One of the reasons I buy from them is they take the stress out of buying a car. My kids have cars from Smith Volvo and I've referred numerous friends to them. Five stars from this buyer.

The service department is excellent! David in service is excellent to deal with. He kept me informed of my vehicles progress and the car was ready when promised. I would highly recommend them for servicing your Volvo.

Best place to buy parts, especially for older Volvos. Most dealers have told me they won't bother with back orders or some other excuse but even if it involves ordering from Sweden, Smith Volvo has always pulled through for me.

This dealership doesn't care about warranty issues.Waiting 7 days for a warranty issue... and then getting the information that it is too late to understand what went wrong, is absolutely not a decent level of service, knowing that the wait you are imposing us is not getting any better. You obviously do not care about warranty issues. Since we got this vehicle, we have been waiting 11 weeks to have it repaired because Volvo was not supplying the parts, then we have had to wait 3 weeks to have the charging problem fixed (including 7 days waiting for an appointment), we also cane 2 times for a problem of engine light and one with a problem on a tire (here again 7 days wait for an appointment).At the end, we have owned the XC90 since august (7 months) and we have passed only 1 month without a light on the dashboard waiting for an appointment!Volvo USA doesn't care about the problem.Before buying your Volvo, check BMW.

Was able to get some warranty done here and it was painless. Staff all around had fantastic attitudes, took the time to make sure I was taken care of and not rushed.Communication was also on point. They keep me updated as needed and even went the extra mile to wash my car since they got it done early and were waiting on me to pick it up.Will be back for any more work I need done even though I have other dealers closer they just don't compare to same level of service as here.

Needed safety work completed for one of our Volvos. Decided to drive about 100 miles to Smith Volvo; scheduled appointment with David Perez. David was helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. His team completed work very quickly so I could return home same day. Thank you David!

Smith Volvo is awesome! I went in looking for a new car (not necessarily a Volvo), and browsed around the lot for almost an hour. The sales folks were helpful, not pushy, and ultimately, I ended up with a used Bimmer at a great price. I highly recommend them if you're looking for an honest dealership with a great selection of cars.

The only key we had for our sons 1991 Volvo was misplaced. After calling 3 Locksmiths in the area gave me prices of $125, $220 & $330 to make a key if they even could. I then called Smith s Volvo and talked to Tim in the parts department. He was amazing. He told me if I could give him the VIN number, registration and personal ID they could make us a jey for $37 plus tax. I ordered 2 new keys and they were at Volvo Parts by 11am the next day. I gladly give Smiths Volvo Cars 5 Stars and Tim 10 plus Stars. They saved us a lot of money and frustration. Thank you so very much.

Robert and Scott were very easy to work with, from the moment we stepped into the dealership, answering our questions about the various options to selecting a vehicle on the lot that met our requirements, and the finance process, it was painless. My Volvo had several check engine codes. I couldn't get it smogged. The service department got to the bottom of it fairly quickly and reasonably. They truly went above and beyond my expectations. David and Juan were very helpful and kept me informed of the progress of repairs. My V50 is happily running once again, and the total repair was s little less than the original quote.

Brendan S. On the sales lot, was a great sales person. He was not pushy at all and no pressure. We got a great deal on XC90. Love the small town feel of Smith Volvo and the heritage of being in the area. I would highly recommend.Thank you again Smith Volvo Team!

Unfortunately I have to give Smith Volvo a poor review as they were dishonest about the condidtion of a car I was interested in buying. They were very cordial and professional over the phone, and even brought the car to Meinke Automotive for me to get an inspection. However, upon inspection, it was revealed that the car was leaking oil, the air filters had not been changed as Smith said they had, and the car made a loud clunking noise when driven anywhere. I can't reccomend them, as they knowingly tried to sell me a car that had significant issues they witheld from me.

My low beam light on my 09 Volvo went out and I drove straight to Smith Volvo at 1pm on a Thursday afternoon and the Service Manager, David Perez, immediately came to my rescue. No appointment necessary.They had the part in stock and changed it right then and there. I drove off a happy Volvo driver/owner!! Thank you, David, Tim and Smith Volvo!

I'll admit, I have an old dame that never seems to die! My 2000 Volvo V70 is so old, parts are hard to come by, but Tim in parts was professional and expedient in finding a right axle for my car, as they are quite hard to come by these days. If you require the help of a true professional and have a classic Volvo, give Smith Volvo parts a call. I hope this helps!

I bought my Volvo elsewhere but Smith is where I go for service. They've always been courteous, knowledgeable, and quick. Someone always calls the next day to make sure I'm happy with the service and to answer any questions, a nice touch.

I drive here all the way from Lompoc to have my car serviced. They are great! Friendly, helpful, and honest staff who check in with you after you have your car serviced to make sure everything is working well and that you are happy. I purchased my car here and got a fair price. I will buy my next car here too.

I have experienced 18 transactions with Smith Volvo. I have bought 3 Porsche's, a Lotus Elise, a Mercedes E class, a GMC pickup, a volvo 960, a subaru legacy, and many other cars over a 35 year period. I personally call Brent Smith a friend. He and his staff have always treated me with kindness and honesty. I wholly recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to visit the dealership and look around.They are not pushy at all. You will have a great experience.

Talked to the parts department about the correct oil in a Volvo V60 with the 4 cylinder turbo motor. They were very rude and said just "Castrol synthetic 5w-30 and hung up on me. Actually the correct oil for this motor is a specific 0w-20 Volvo oil. So be weary that they might not put the correct oil in your car, and are very rude on the phone.
