This is the place your special automobile deserves to be in for a little facelift. We took our 1982 BMW 320i here because we knew that our mechanic and friend highly recommended them.So here's why they really stood out: Mitch and his son are especially genuine people. You can tell they love the business they are in because they take special care to make sure the job is done thoroughly, and in a way that will surpass your expectations. Our car ended up having some rust under the driver's side floor panels, which, is to be expected in a 35+-year-old vehicle. It was treated with rust-stopper paint, ensuring that the problem would not continue to advance.The carpet kit I was able to select matched the original equipment very well. I will say that the car looks, smells, and feels the way it surely did in 1982. I feel like I am in a John Hughes movie when I drive this car. (Sorry to the Millenials who don't get that one, look it up.)Mitch's went above and beyond to make sure all the seams and clips and points of attachment looked perfect. It's like a dream. It would have taken me a month of struggling and cursing to do what they did in just a couple of days.I am forever grateful and smiling that I finally took the car that I've loved for years to a place that honored it and fixed it up as if they were the owner. Do yourself a favor and go and see Mitch. The prices are super reasonable. If you're on the fence about a restoration type project, remember that just because your older vehicle may have a few dings, and some rusty scars, doesn't mean it deserves to be traded in or worse! Character is built on the experiences we have and charm in the design of the cars that we love. They will love you for it!

They are the best in town. They put on a new new top on my BMW. Very professional. It made my 1991 car look brand new. They recovered my recliner. Have had nothing but compliments. Theyupholstered some on my restaurant chairs. Great job. Mitch and his sons are to be congratulated on working as the ultimate professionals. I give them 5 Stars!!!

I just had MItch reupholster the totally worn out seats on my 1995 Tacoma. The quality of work is top notch and the price was more than fair. I will continue to use Mitch and his crew for any other interior needs that I have in the future.

They did an excellent job replacing the headliner and vinyl top on my 1985 porsche targa 911. Even added a little hardware that was missing. Definitely recommend. Not the cheapest but worth the cost.

These guys are great! I've used them for 2 different jobs. One was a motorcycle seat upholstery and another was a velcro repair for my 3rd row seats. I'll definitely keep returning.

I had a custom seat designed and built. It was finished on the day it was promised and looks fabulous. Awesome service.

I'm a Santa Barbara local who heard of Mitch's Stitches through word of mouth. In the past 4-5 years I have had a couple of jobs done by Mitch. The first was a complete V-berth upolstery project for my 17' boat using high density foam, and sunbrella fabric that just turned out incredibly clean and fit like a glove.Most recently Mitch came to the rescue by making a custom, removeable, sunbrella fabric stowage bulkhead for a custom 10' skiff that I have. He took my original design and made it even better by understanding what my requirements were, and applied his expertise in custom upholstery work to it.Both times that I have been in Mitch's Stiches, there has been at least 3-4 projects in the shop from custom Hot Rods, to custom golf carts! I don't think there is much Mitch can't and or wont be able to do.For me, Mitch's professional attitude, work ethic, and craftmanship make it worth the drive to San Luis to get the job done right the first time!

I went here per suggestion of repair shop and I must say I was more than satisfied. The quality of work was excellent. They responded to my request with great speed and the price was perfect.

Awesome, local family owned. Great workmanship and super quick. Replaced a ripped section of a Mercedes leather seats and matched it perfectly.
