I had an issue with my Ford Transit connect vehicle on some broken glass by some company in town that incorrectly installed the new window where the owner that company decided to send my vehicle over to Ken's body shop to have them correct it. Ken personally agreed and said he could fix it and he sure did prevail. The issue was almost 3 years ago and I'm still happy with his work. I just wanted to leave a positive review for Ken's body shop as I think they are a very decent body shop and wonderful people. I definitely would go back and for any future body work, highly recommended. Thank you for your service

I recently found myself in a bit of a bind with my car, and that's when I stumbled upon Ken's Auto Body Shop. Ken greeted me with a warmth that's become all too rare in the hustle and bustle of today's world. I was backing out of a parking spot and didn't see the rock, turned a little and it ripped the front bumper off, approaching almost closing time on a Friday, I drove to ken's shop.When I explained my situation, Ken didn't hesitate to help. Not only did he assist me when I needed it the most, but he also refused to charge me for the service. In a world where everything has a price, finding someone who operates with such kindness and generosity is truly refreshing.He saw a person in need and rose to the occasion.If you're ever in need of auto body services, I cannot recommend Ken enough.Thank you, Ken, for not just the outstanding work on my car, but for reminding me that there are still people who care about their fellow man.Service: Body & Trim

I am genuinely pleased with the service and work done by Kens Body Shop. My '97 GMC pickup needed a new drivers door. One other shop didn't want to bother with it and no quoted the job and another didn't even make the effort to return a phone message. Ken's took a look at it right away after the first call and followed through with the repair including dealing with a recalcitrant insurance company. Communications were good at all steps of the insurance negotiations and repair. The work was done very competently with all functions of the new door working properly and the paint looks great! I would recommend them for any body repair your vehicle might need.

Update from 5/26 (nearly two weeks later): Although the owner reached out with an excuse to my poor review, I still have never had a quote sent to me.I needed some rust removal done on my Sprinter van and had found Ken s online with good reviews. Their shop s website says they do classic car restorations, so I thought a few spots of rust on the body of my van should be no problem for them. Took it in on a Friday for a look-over to get a quote. Jeff was welcoming and helpful; took pictures and told me he would email me a quote. Monday passed with no word. Tuesday, I called and left a voicemail with no response. Wednesday morning, I called and spoke with Jeff who said he would have the quote to me by the afternoon. It s now Saturday and I never heard from them. I m not sure what the problem was (if they just didn t want to do the job or if something happened), but the lack of communication is a red flag for sure.

They did a great job repainting a section of my '91 Chevy. A real old school body shop and good quality paint work. And they have awesome dogs!

I was recommended Ken s body shop by couple garages. Had gone to their shop to show my car for a paint job. Had requested an estimate for a paint job via email. It s been over a week never received it. That s not professional. Not sure why I was recommended. If they contact me then I ll amend my comment.As I said in my post above that I will amend my review after receiving an estimate, I am doing so. After posting the above review I received an estimate within 4 days, therefore I am satisfied that the establishment does care about customer feedback. Therefore I have changed my rating from 1 star to 4 stars for prompt action on customer review. However, I don't plan to hire their services for the job right now, as the estimate currently is outside my budget. Hoping I can save up before I hire their services.

The people at Ken's body shop are awesome. I am glad I found this shop. Prices are fair and the work is amazing. REMEMBER... you get what you pay for so if you want good work with a quick turnaround then drop your baby off at kens. It's worth it. . THANK YOU GUYS AND GIRLS

Got bids from 5 auto body repair shops in San Luis Obispo to repair a bumper on my brand new car....Was sold when I met the owner, Wade. His attitude / professionalism was genuine ( and his sense of humor ! )..no hard sell.... his bid and the job performed were excellent and on time. All work guaranteed ....highly recommend them....

I did multiple quotes before getting work done on my car. Ken's was the most reasonable priced with 1/6 the price of one of my quotes and I have to say the work was well done. I would highly recommend them!

I drove in good faith to get an estimate from this shop after the enthusiastic owner invited me to come. What I got after driving through unpaved streets way into the outback of a ramshackle industrial park to this shop's office was being met by a "slug" of an employee not even having the wherewithal to acknowledge my presence while he filled his water jug. Thereafter, all he could muster was,, "the owner isn't here. Come back." He never offered to take my number to have someone call. There are many shops in SLO to choose from. Award your business to one that's worthy.

My girlfriend was hit from behind in SLO and we took our car to Ken's Body Shop to have it repaired. We both could not have been happier! They communicated everything really well with us and did an EXCELLENT job on the repair. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who needs body work done!!

Very deceptive contract manipulation. BEWARE! Received a written cost quote and time frame for restoration.They decided to add $3500 to the total nearly two years later. Delays, delays, delays. Excuses, excuses, excuses. MAKE SURE the contract you sign has the clause that " if there are any changes to the materials used, estimated cost or date of completion, and not to continue with any work until client approves the changes" This is standard on repair contracts of all reputable shops. Mine didnt! BIG mistake. When I asked them to justify the additional money the response was, "you had many talks about changes" but I was naive enough to trust them. My Bad!
