In addition to tires. Costco also has batteries. They're moderately priced and come with a 3 year warranty. Service was prompt and pleasant. When I returned the old battery, unlike many places, the attendant put a caller on hold to wait on me.

I bought four new tires from Costco tire last year in December. In the span of a week I have had two flat tires, and the people at Costco tire claimed that they could not fix either of them. They told me I needed to buy brand new tires. I am very upset upon further investigation, and speaking to people I know who are familiar with cars and tires, because I feel like I was taken advantage of. I had a screw through my one tire and they said there is a double puncture, and there is no way to patch without it being sketchy I would hope within a year of buying new tires a company would be going out of their way to help me in the situation; Costco tire did nothing. Furthermore, in the span of five days they tried to charge me an additional $40 for a tire. I had literally been at the business the week before getting my other tire fixed, and they tried to upcharge me, claiming increase tire prices.I would expect better from Costco. I have been a loyal customer for years and usually take their guarantees to heart. My entire family are loyal customers of Costco, but now I am rethinking this allegiance. I found this to be a very poor customer service, and that I was very much taken advantage of as a single female. shame on you Costco.

the service and poor communication as described by the more recent negative reviews hold true. the manager/staff are terrible at estimating reasonable timelines (even with an appointment), terrible at communicating exchange/refund policy (seems like it's based on how much you complain instead of Costco's typical great service) and they might be even damaging your tires/wheels (and their accessories) and thereby putting your life in danger after they install or repair.I gave them the benefit of the doubt since they have the Costco name attached to them, but my experience has made my stomach churn and I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere at the first possible opportunity.

Had an appointment scheduled for 4:45pm to get my tires rotated. I was told it would be done in one hour. I spent an hour shopping inside Costco only to return and find out that service on my car wasn't even started. They told me that I was misled by the time information given to me and starting the work an hour after the scheduled appointment is acceptable. It turns out the service actually takes 2 hours so I am not sure what goes on there. The guys there are rude, inconsiderate, and careless. I asked for my keys and left. Don't waste your time and get your tires rotated there.

I've been a Costco member for nearly 25 years and purchased all my tires for three vehicles from them as well as car batteries. Since I moved to SLO County 7 years ago, my experiences at the San Luis Obispo Costco Tire Center have been nothing but a source of headache and a significant waste of time. I tried discussing my customer service issues with the Tire Center Manager and received the same response! After that, I went straight to the service desk inside the store. I must say the supervisors I spoke with inside the store itself listened to me and were courteous.Yesterday I needed my truck tires rotated, I was hoping for a pleasant experience and I reminded myself that morning to be positive. Instead, I ended up with the worse experience in all my years as a member. 5 1/2 HOURS after dropping my truck off in the morning, my truck had not been moved. The manager told me it wouldn't be ready until closing...10 hours after I had dropped it off. They had no good reason why they were going to make me wait that long. I felt like I was being harassed and singled out, so I asked for my keys and left. I'm DONE! Congratulations American West Tires! You have a new customer.

It s so easy. Made an appointment and my car was done in an hour while I shopped in the warehouse. Last month I had a flat on a different vehicle that had Costco tires and brought it in, no appointment, no paperwork, and because it was unrepairable due to the location of the nail, yet still under the 70,000 mile warranty, it was replaced with a new tire.

Called and the store confirmed they had the tire I needed in stock. After driving 45 minutes to the store, they said they didn t have the tire and no one would admit to taking my phone call

No appointment needed. You park in the "tire center parking" spots and head to the tire center office. They go look at your car and recommend tires. Excellent prices. They don't do alignment, but they have places they recommend for it and give you a 15% off coupon for those places. I dropped my car off at lunch time on a Friday and it was done in an hour and a half.

Good luck getting the tire department to answer the phone. When they finally answered, I sat on hold for 15 minutes before I gave up.

Took over 2 hrs to fix 1 flat tire. They took off my tire, stopped working on my car and brought in more cars and started to work those.

Some of the worst service I have ever had for my truck. It took over double the time and nearly 45 minutes for them just to swap out my spare for a tire that had a slow leak. The people are nice but speed and level of service is sad.

Costco has the best prices, best warranty, best instant rebates. And now they are open early, for us early birds!I purchase my auto batteries there at Costco Tire Center too. Costco sells Interstate Batteries. Costco Tire Center, are true professionals. I recommend to all friends and family.

Awesome service. They're very attentive about my Needs & Wants with tires. They go above and beyond with service. I came in with a flat tire they took me in right away got me in and out within 15 minutes they were a lifesaver

Tires purchased and installed.Had an issue with the tire balance after a couple ofmonths. They addressed my issue and resolved. Excellent service.

Amazing service, and never felt like they were trying to sell me stuff I don't need. Made my first tire shop experience very easy, and even helped me find options elsewhere when they didn't have quite what I needed there.

Very bad service. We ordered the tires in store, didn't call us when they arrived. They let us wait for so long, and didn't even call us when it was done. Took them like 3 HOURS to change tires. Just very careless attitude.

I was there at 9:04 am to put air into my tires. The guy who was there kept us waiting for at least 10 minutes while he did not do anything at the back of the store. The worst thing is that he put air into my tires without actually knowing how much is the standard pressure for my tires. Once I mentioned that to him, he checked and said it is 30 PSI but he did not change the settings on the device. I checked the settings and it was 34 PSI. Now, I have to go somewhere else to lower the pressure one more time before my trip to LA.

I recently went there to get new tires put on they ransacked my car looking for the tool to remove my wheel then they called me to tell me they can't find the tool they were looking for I went back to my vehicle found all my stuff just thrown to the ground out side my car I was so mad . I did not know they do not have a universal tool to remove the tires they were vey unprofessional on how they went about it and did not bother to put the items back into the vehicle after I got what they needed. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

Soo slow! We went to buy groceries and spent about an hour in the building, but when we came out they hadn't even started! So we had to sit outside in the freezing wind for over and hour! I'm very disappointed, the Costco tire center in sallinas is twice as fast. And it wasn't even a huge repair!

My car was in for just a tire rotation. It took twice as long as they said it would. Lots of unhappy people standing around while there was no serviceGuys working on the cars. I think they all took lunch at the same time.....unexceptional. the last time I buy my tires there.

Bought batteries from Costco as usual Costco seems to be the best place for Batteries if they have the fitment you need. Kind of strange how they handle their core refunds but otherwise it's a quick clean transaction

Yes I got a good deal on Tires but they put big dings and dents in all 4 of my New rims so $1000 tires cost me $3752 never again

Went in to get tire wear checked. They were as quick to get to me as possible. They checked all four tires. They said the tires had significant wear left and they did not advise changing them at this time.

Wish we could have gotten a price match at 70.00 each tire that would help up shop for food .. but we will have to make due what we have...thanks. God bless.
