This shop saved our bacon. My wife and I were traveling through to South Lake Tahoe and we desperately needed a new rear tire which no other shops along the coast carried. They graciously let us remove the wheel in the back and then replaced the tire for us as they were closing up shop for the day. They even helped me get my wheel back on properly after I made a mistake installing it! They went above and beyond what we paid them and it probably saved our whole trip seeing as for most of the trip it was raining. From the interactions my wife and I had, the staff and techs were very friendly and accommodating! Absolutely a blessing to us.

I needed tires BADLY on a road trip today. They were the only shop with my sizes in stock and got me in immediately. The mechanic even took care of a few extra items he noticed. 300+ miles later I m writing this review from home because of them. Thank you Gary, Brian and John.By the way, when I got home I compared your prices with the shop where I usually buy tires and you were higher but only by $2 on the rear and $20 on the front tire. That s pretty impressive for a small shop like yours. Thanks!

This shop was very efficient. They got my bike in and fixed within a week. The price was very fair. They are also very upfront with you and do not do work without your permission. Highly recommend.Services: Electrical repair, Brake service & repair, Oil changeServices: Electrical repair, Brake service & repair, Oil change

My husband and I recently bought scooters from this establishment. They were very reasonably priced. We were given a walk-through, of the ins and outs of our scooters. They were very nice, very professional, very helpful. When I was ready to leave, I had no questions. Before we left the lot, I noticed that the rear blinker light was out, so we scooted right back in. Not only did they fix it, the boss gave us money to eat lunch across the street.

I have ridden motorcycles for over 50 years, and have been to dozens of shops over that time. I recent bought a new Can Am Ryker and the dealer did not have the rear suspension adjusted correctly. Not wanting to make the long ride back to the dealer, I called Central Coast Powersports, and although they were very busy, they had me bring the bike in and made the adjustment for me as soon as I arrived.Extremely personable people, very professional, and very reasonable pricing - a great place to take your bike! Thank you, Gary, David and Brian for helping me out!Service: Steering & suspension repair

We rented a bike from them back in June and they were awesome. The bike ran fantastic and for good price too. There was a misunderstanding on when we were supposed to meet, but the owner showed up 10 minutes later and gave us half a day for free! Great customer service, great bikes. We will rent from them again when we go back to Cali.

Great service. Very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Kept in touch throughout the work. My total cost ended up being lower than they had predicted. Asked some questions about Service schedule for my type of riding, I have a, mostly, Show motorcycle and they were very helpful.I will definitely be back in the future as it was s hard to find a shop that you can trust.

I got my bike back after a month (which they insisted on describing as only 5 weeks) it was leaking oil from them not replacing the crush washer and then I later found out never installed my brand new Barnett clutch but still charged me $1200 for and expected $850 job (including the clutch). Was a new rider scared of calling out shops at the time. Learn from my mistakes, Do NOT go here. Other shops in town are much better in every conceivable way.

On Monday, I decided it was time to get a new set of tires for my 1999 Harley-Davidson Sporster 1200 XLH.The place where I got my last set of tires said they could take care of this - in a month.I talked to a person at a motorcycle apparel and accessories store in Madonna Plaza, and they suggested that I call the people 'just up the street', CoastRiders Motorsports. What a pleasant experience!Dave said they could get the job done on the upcoming Friday morning.I am now riding on a new set of Michelin Commander III Cruiser tires, which are an upgrade from the traditional Dunlop D401s.Another thing that I particularly appreciated is that Brian, the mechanic, took care of a few other items that he noticed as he was doing the work - he replaced the front brake pads, flushed the front brake line, and adjusted the throttle cable. While I was waiting, I walked a block away to the Nautical Bean Coffee Shop where I enjoyed a cup of coffee and made use of the free Wi-Fi.Thank you, Dave and Brian, for your very good work!Services: Tires, Wheel alignment, Brake service & repair

If I Could put negative stars as a review I would. This is the worst place to go for anything. The worst customer service literally the sales, service, mechanics will all lie to your face.If your are expecting something to be done in a timely manner FORGET ABOUT IT. If you are looking to get ripped off and waste your time and money this is the place to go. If you dropped everything you were doing right now and went to motorcycle mechanic school, you would still stand a better chance of fixing your bike before they could.Once these guys had your money, hearing back from them is damn near impossible. Really bad place to have any work done. The manager makes things up about what is wrong with your bike, then tries to shift the blame when he can't fix it. He will lie to your face and misrepresent the facts in order to get you to pay more. Save your money by going anywhere else. Given the quality of work they do, I would suggest getting a second opinion from a reputable dealer if you are thinking about buying anything they sell. I think most of the positive reviews are from friends because I don't know anyone who has anything good to say about this place.

My father and I were on a cross country MC trip and realized the ft tire on his sidecar probably wouldn't make it back across the desert to MN. It was a Monday and most of the dealerships were closed all the way up the coast. Gary said if we could be there by 3, he'd get us taken care of same day!!!! We got there, had a solid lunch across the street, napped in the AC of the store on a couch and back on the road before they closed. Super nice, helpful and we got back home with no issues!!! Thank you again Gary and CoastRiders MC

I own a Victory and can't find a shop in Santa Maria that will touch it. Was so happy to find CoastRiders. They hooked me up the same day (forgot to call ahead) with new tires at good price and back break pads.Services: Tires, Brake service & repairServices: Tires, Brake service & repair

I was traveling and needed a front tire BAD. I went to the Cycle Gear in SLO, they had a great selection but had a 24 hour tire mounting turnaround ( and I was going to pull the tire off the bike, all they had to do was mount and balance ) A girl in Cycle Gear suggested Coast Riders. I called them, they had the tire and were 5 mins away. They had the tire on the counter when I pulled in, I removed the tire from the bike in their parking lot and they had the new one mounted in less than 10 minutes. I was back on the road in @30 minutes total. This is a great shop and run like it should be !Thanks Again !

My friend and I were at your shop and was Shocking to see the so called mobile motorcycle mechanic bearded Richard , was now working in your service department , This guy screwed up my friends bike, it ran worst than when he started . He admittedly to me after, that he had no tech schooling or training at all . Parts left loose could have hurt or killed him . To charge $99.00 hour . for a tech with no experience or training is outrageous, dangerous and should be explained . We are currently looking for another more honest cycle shop. You should tell your customers at drop off, that their bike may be worked on by a person with absolutely no mechanical or safety training , but I guess that would not go over well. I have contacted California B.A.R . , I hope all motorcyclist will be safe this riding season.

. Quoted me a few hundred in repairs. Find out I need a bearing and they more than double the price just to put the bike back together the way I brought it in. They said it might run maybe one minute, and the repairs were worth more than the bike itself so I gave it to them for work done. They said they do this quite a lot. Come back a year later and I see my bike for sale for less than what they were going to charge me ! Don t recommend this place at all

Came across this shop by pure chance 1,300mi into a 2,500mi ride through The Eastern Sierra and Central California. Grossly miscalculated the remaining tread on the tires on my 02 Road king classic. Had to forgoe the the White-walls this time around but i m Sure these guys could have gotten me a set with a few days notice. They got me in the same day, shod with a full set of quality rubber and back on the road w/in a few hours for hundreds less than the Harley dealership. Can t thank you enough and only wish other businesses were as fair, honest, and pleasurable to work with.

Guys spent a lot of time explaining things to me about the repairs they did/will do soon. Very knowledgeable and without a doubt willing to help you even if you have no idea what any of the parts on a motorcycle are. No question is a dumb question to them. Even helped me with registration of my bike with the dmv. Great place and great prices as well!

I've had great experiences with these guys every time, since they were at their old location, as well. They've helped me with my Kawasaki KLR650 and more recently with my BMW R1150RT. They have always been great to deal with, service is always top-notch & knowledgeable, and prices fair (even for my BMW). They have one of the best BMW guys from Santa Barbara to the Bay Area. Recommended!

While on our big pacific coast bike trip, we woke up in the morning to a nearly flat rear tire. I must have picked up something while splitting lanes the previous day, the tire ran low on air and prematurely wore out from the heat and the load on the bike. The tire had to be replaced before we could continue on our journey. I showed up at Coast Riders Powersports when they were opening in the morning, and after they moved all their bikes out so there was room inside they took care of us. They got us a new rear tire on my wing and did it all in about an hour and the price was reasonable as well, and got us back on our way. All the people that I talked to that worked there are all true riders and fans of the sport. They were very helpful and even recommended us where to go to have something to eat or drink while we waited.

Have had my 05 KLR 650, and 2006 V-Strom 1000 worked on multiple times here. They always do an excellent job. From small jobs for $100 or less, to $3000+ dollar repair job that was the result of a crash (and they did all the back and forth with the insurance company for me). Always professional, good communication, very easy to talk to and deal with, and they will walk you through all the repairs and everything that they did step by step. Normally I always freak out when I take my car or motorcycle to a repair place, but its nice that I can have these guys work on it and just not worry that I am going to get screwed over, and I know they are going to do excellent work.I have recommended a few friends to take their bikes here and I know they are going to get taken care of.Thanks Coastriders for the peace of mind.

The team here is knowledgeable and efficient. They also made sure my bike was taken care of and loaded for cross country shipment. Will be using them again on my next west coast tour.

do you notice how every single time they get a negative review they just say that they never had a customer by that name? in every single negative review they have never taken responsibility for anything. So either they are perfect humans and they never make a mistake or they they are irresponsible and unprofessional. Based on the appalling and shocking horrible experience. My husband just had there I'm going to go with unprofessional Shady Liars.

Very friendly and sorted me out with some stickers I was after and wouldn't take any payment. If I was using my bike on Highway One I would be happy to go here.
