Subject: Urgent Complaint: Unacceptable Service at San Louis BMW DealershipDear Manager,I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and frustration with the appalling service I received during my recent purchase at your dealership., I acquired a BMW 530e 2019 from your establishment. Shockingly, I was blindsided by a $1500 charge for ceramic coating, a fee conveniently omitted from the price page prior to my visit. Furthermore, despite assurances, the vehicle was delivered sans floor mats, with empty promises of them being sent via mail.Repeated attempts to address these egregious errors have been met with outright negligence and disregard from your team. The lack of response and failure to rectify these issues are completely unacceptable and reflective of a lackluster commitment to customer satisfaction. In stark contrast, a rival BMW dealership in Los Angeles demonstrated exceptional service, providing complimentary items such as a charger cable and floor mats, without any additional costs or excuses.I demand immediate action to address these issues. It is imperative that you rectify this situation promptly and compensate for the inconvenience and deception I have endured.I expect a swift and satisfactory resolution to this matter. Failure to do so will compel me to escalate my concerns through further channels, including but not limited to, social media and consumer protection agencies.I await your urgent response and expect nothing short of a comprehensive plan to remedy this unacceptable situation.Sincerely,

My son bought a car from San Luis BMW in February was the best experience we ve ever had. They were absolutely amazing they went above and beyond for my son to get into this car. Mitch and Andrew were awesome. Could ve done it without them and if anybody ever wants to purchase a car, I suggest you go to San Luis BMW because it was an experience of a lifetime. They are absolutely phenomenal the best customer service I ve ever had.

No options for zero stars or I would have used it. All the dreaded tropes that give dealers a bad name are present here. Had to negotiate the $2k in paint protection away several times, final straw when dealer tried to renegotiate when I was in the middle of signing papers! You had me there and you blew it! Ended up in a way better car same price at a boutique dealer.

My wife and I just got back from the best BMW buying experience we've ever had. After owning BMW's for 10+ years now, this is by the far the best customer service and relationship staff I've encountered. Johana provided exceptional customer service via online & in-person as we drove 3+ hours to purchase the vehicle and answered any & all questions with ease. I will definitely be back and recommending this BMW shop going forward. Made us feel like family :)

I would give this dealer a negative star if i could! Worst dealership! Be careful! This is what happened to me:1: called them and told them i had a loan from my bank, i just need it a contract. This was my first time buying a car, when i walked in they took my loan paper and never gave it back to me, second they ran my credit without my permission and wrote me a loan trough bank of america with a way higher APR, and they said oh its just in case your bank don t approve. Then they added this stupid GAP and extended insurance which was almost 7k on top of car loan. I got the shock of my life when i went back to my bank to pick up then check, my bank said we cant help you because the loan approval was lower than car price. I call them back to have a new contract and they wouldn t help me, just ignored me. They knew what they were doing, adding all that stuff to get their bonus. Happened to me once, but never again.2. The car was being advertised online for $39,400 when i got thereThey said oh the car is really 44k because we added a coating and some stickers to protect doors. First the coating who knows if they added it, i never saw proof, and the lousy stickers to protect the doors that look like $5 dollars each. False advertising! I never told them to add this, they just claimed they added this stuff and charge me for it.Will never buy anything from them, first they seem the nicest people in the world when they re selling you a car, once you sign everything, they will ignore you!Worst experience ever!!!!

I recently received a recall notice to have the air bags replaced on my 2004 BMW. Lindsey was still kind and helpful rescheduling my appointment but text when i received the appointment reminder notice and I chose not to drive over the grade in the storm before the holiday. Tony couldn t have been any more helpful or friendly when I arrived and went above and beyond in having a quote ready on something unrelated when I picked my car up. Definitely 5 star service all around!

I purchased an M4 last month. Dealing with Luke was great but the problem I have is with Erik Chavez in financing. We agreed on a set price but when I checked my BMW account I noticed the payoff amount was over $2,400 more than the price we agreed upon.I informed Erik about his mistake back on 1/23/24 and he said he would overnight a check for the difference right away. He said he couldn't change the loan amount and that the only option was that he send a check.Days go by and when I finally track him down he says I have to pay off the loan first before he can send me my money.I paid off the loan immediately and sent him proof of the payoff on 1/30/24. It's now 2/15/24 and I still haven't received my money.I've called him, emailed him, and text him numerous times but never got any response. Literally 0 communication. I find it funny because before I purchased the car the communication was there. The fact I have to waste so much time trying to track down my money is ridiculous, especially when it was Erik's mistake.I'm done with these games, just send me my money! If I receive my money today or tomorrow I'll consider updating this review.2 stars because Luke is super professional and easy to work with.BTW please don t respond asking me to contact customer service. If you want to make this right just send me my money ASAP!UPDATE: the dealership called me but it was to inform me that the car was NOT smogged before selling it to me and that I would need to get it smogged myself before the car can be registered. Not sure how that slipped by them.I also to mention that the listed price is NOT the real price. They add on $2,900 in additional charges for their paint protection products. Very misleading.

BY FAR THE WORST DEALERSHIP OUT THERE!!!! They have zero respect. I have dealt with a lot of dealerships over the past few months looking for car. This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with in my whole life. The couple of salesmen I dealt with were nice and seem to try to do all they could to help. Its the management that is terrible. I decided to buy the car, so i texted Yes, I would like to put a down payment, and move to to the next step. Which is to talk to the finance manager, well hours go by never hear anything from the finance manager. Then the sale manager Mike lets me know the car sold. I call him to see what happened and he lets me know that he messed up and never took the paperwork over to the finance guy. He said sorry and he would talk to the general manager and the owner the next day, and see what he could do. Which I was ok with, people including me make mistakes. But then he never calls back the next day, so I've called a few times but, the sales manager Mike is spineless coward, he wont even answer my phone calls now. But wait it gets worse the general manager Vincent that comments on all these bad reviews, and he basically says call or email me to work it out. I decided I'll give him a chance so I call, not only once but 3 or 4 times, his voicemail is full. So giving them the benefit of the doubt again I send him email, its been about week and at this point no surprise. Now I'm out about 600 dollars in plane tickets and little more faith in humanity. I will update if hear back from them and they make things right. I'm not holding my breath at this point. Do your self a favor and move on to a different dealership.

My experience with theSan Luis Obispo BMW dealership where I bought a car is the absolute worst. The dealership displayed a complete lack of integrity and employed misleading sales techniques. Having found a vehicle of interest online, my initial conversation with the two salespeople involved revealing my eligibility for four different BMW corporate promotional discounts. Following this, I was told to make a down payment to secure the car despite my reservations about buying without seeing it.Without providing accurate information about the $1,000 recent graduate offer, they insisted that these would be sorted out when I got to the dealership. This was not the case as halfway into my journey they revealed that the car did not qualify for any discounts. Upon arrival and inspection of the car, I noted several flaws which, after discussion with the manager, they were not willing to compensate for.In expressing my dissatisfaction about the whole situation, the sales manager consented to reduce the sales price by $1,500 which I grudgingly accepted. Promises were made about providing a missing car key and paying for specific car repairs.Unfortunately, subsequent days unfolded with a salesman absent from work and getting no updates, coupled with the revelation that there was no key and no compensation for the car repairs. Despite wanting to cancel the sale due to their unfair actions, I was told by the sales manager that I could only return the car by the end of the day and with less than 250 miles on it, which was logistically impossible.

Terrible experience, because of this agency I don't trust BMW anymore, since they opened the case and they told me that they couldn't do anything. In December of last year I bought a 2020 BMW X6 M with 12,000 miles from Florida since I liked it. the color, when speaking... vincent sent me photos of the x6 in excellent condition, without details of any kind, I asked them and they replied that it was impeccable, I paid for it and when it arrived it was all damaged, full of marks on the paint, optics, and front, the roof did not work, it was rusty from road salt, and the worst thing is that it had a crash and was repaired (it was noticeable everywhere), I was in lawsuit for 3 months until I had to accept a refund of 92,000 us in order not to judge them instead of the 103,000 subscribers. that is, on top of losing money. I hope this comment will help people who choose another bmw agency when buying, since this is totally misleading and a liar. I upload some photos but if you need more I'll gladly send them to you.

It s been months & months worth and calls and headaches over their known mistake of not giving me a refund that I rightfully deserved and have signed a contract with the name of this dealership on it to give me my money back. I have been going back-and-forth for months with various people from the dealership especially ERIC in charge of finance, who is extremely unprofessional difficult to reach, and has no idea how to provide customer service. It took me months and months to reach this guy to finally get the refund on paper that I deserve for his mistake in which he sold me the wrong warranty for my car. This man sold me an electric car warranty for my regular X1. This warranty that he sold m for multiple grand and I m not able to use it for anything and not only that I had to call and beg multiple times to be able to reach this man. As previously mentioned, I have literally sign legal documents, stating that I am entitled to this refund and have a and showing that it was their mistake. Months have gone by and I still have not received my check and every single time that I called the dealership nobody answers at any extension. I am a local guide and only choose to leave positive reviews, but I really important it in the truth to consumers that they re better off going to another location of BMW then this one that is much more organized. I am putting this post here as a last resort before I resort to legal action.DO NOT COME HERE. I recommend Bakersfield BMW. 10x better service way more professional and efficient. They have put in their best efforts to assist me in all the horrible mistakes SLO made.

As you can plainly see from the most recent reviews, this place has gone downhill quickly. I contacted them about a vehicle and they were eager to respond with photos, videos etc. Once I finally decided to purchase the car, I called them to negotiate the price and they inform me the price is $3000 more than their advertised price. The sales manager informs me they have added ceramic coat and 3m protection. This is about $500 worth of stuff at best. This is what they call the old bait and switch. Used to do it with undercoating, now its ceramic coat.Pretty unscrupulous.

Tried selling me a new battery without even doing a load test on my existing one first . This was after being unable to diagnose an electrical problem that only began to occur after they had replace my battery cable due to a recall. On the other hand Nate was very kind and Steven was great at delivering bad news.

This was my 3rd purchase from BMW and the service has gone downhill as mentioned in recent reviews. I traded in and leased a new car on 1/20/24 and have had issues ( scuffed rim I noticed the day after I drove my car home-they made me pay to fix, 30 days go by and the car I traded in is not paid off, the pay off amount was different since it was 30 days and I m responsible to pay)no communication. Called several times, left messages, so drove to the dealership just to hear poor excuses from salespeople. Very disappointed with customer service after being a long time customer.

My service appt was 10:15. There were 8-13 salespeople on the floor and 2 service people. I was not handled until 11:00. Steven apologized and, it happens. HOWEVER, why not cross train a few sales people to be able to jump on the service computers for a better service opportunity? Even the sales manager? The sales people aren't doing anything else productive, but wandering and chit-chatting.If customer service is #1, BE #1.

The sales people at this store are complete arrogant d-bags. They hawk-eye you the moment you walk into the service area - I get they are hungry as sales must be down for such a diluted brand. Don t blame the high-interest rates on low sales volumes - d-bag salesmen and diluted less than inspiring vehicles results in a very basic experience.

This establishment is the epitome of greedy corporate America. They want nothing more than to take your money. Went in to get my oil changed and had $500 of service added to my visit after receiving news I needed an inspection and a new air filter. Got a call after the inspection and was told my air filter needed to be replaced. Wait what, didn't we agree to this when I dropped the car off? Nawwwww, that was the cabin filter, not the engine filter. Ohhhh now they want another $160 for a filter than costs $20-$60. Also asked to look at a weird clicking sound my car has been making and was told I needed to pay another $500 for a diagnostic test. What in the actual hell? At no point did I feel like my issues were being addressed, but I felt like I was just being pushed and pulled to spend more money. Just screams, "We don't care, just give me more money." Thanks for nothing! Unprofessional waste of my time and money.

You guys are the best on the coast for sure.

Scammed. I was approved and received the code for a $1500 military incentive from BMW. I didn't receive it. I should have realized when after the transaction I received a call from the Finance Dept first stating that my preapproval from my bank wasn't large enough and a follow up stating that they were looking at a different transaction, and then calls asking me to reapply for the incentive as the code from IDme wouldn't work. I was told that you would figure it out, but then the next day I receive my loan amount from my bank which was exactly $1500 more than it should have been. I called and spoke with Kirk Darrel who would only state that "it's in the contract." That is true, but the contract was also written as if I was getting financed through BMW. The numbers in the contract just don't add up. I then tried to call back to speak with a Mike Marrinder but while trying for the next few weeks, the phone would only ring and then go to voicemail as if you were screening my calls or blocked my number. A message was also not returned. I do feel ultimately responsible as I shouldn't have left the dealer without EVERYTHING being finalized. I just hope to prevent other active and retired military personnel from being scammed. STAY AWAY!

They clearly deserve a top rating for their customer service. They are always personable, knowledgeable and they go out of their way. A tad expensive but worth it. I assume the work performed is top notch since I have not had any issues with my BMW since I purchased it eight years ago.

I have been trying to cancel my extended warranties from 4 months and I went there and signed the documents to cancel it and now after 4 months I called them last week asking whats going on and calling them back to back and they never answered after 30 mins of calling back to back they answered and said that they have to do it again and when its not my fault and Im paying for them. They said call back after week and check if we did send the paperwork for cancelling it and now after week Im calling them and same thing Im calling them back to back from 30 mins and no one answered. When they wanna sell the car they keep calling everyday and after you buy it they dont care. Thats not a way to deal with customers. So Disappointed

Friendly staff but...when negotiating a deal for a 25k used vehicle I was then told the "already installed" paint/fabric protection would be an extra 3k. They offered it at 2k, so I asked the out the door price (25k+2k = 27k, not included government fees) and the price BLEW UP to over 29K. The is 4,000 above asking price! It appeared they were never going to actually sell the vehicle at the advertised price.Keep in mind these same tactics will be illegal mid 2024.

Found the perfect car. Staff was friendly and made me very comfortable. Easy to work with and explained everything clearly. Not heavy handed or pushy. They listened to me. In doing so, I now drive the perfect vehicle for me. I drove 200 mile to buy from them for a very good reason.

Extremely fraudulent business. Advertised price for 49K, after expressing interest, Sales Rep called me and confirmed the availability and emailed the same about the price and availability. They forced me to submit finance application even though I have approved loan to move forward. I did that and also submitted all documents including License, Insurance details along with approved loan letter. After 2-3 hours of texting and call by the Sales agent, I got a call now by Sales Rep stating Price is increased to $54,400 since GM changed the price??. Also they added additional dealer installed items total went to $61,000 before TAX and Title etc..SO the price went from $48,500 to $61,000 in 3 hours??? I don't even have words to explain the frustration and can't even imagine how these scammers still exist in Business and wondering how many people they exploited like this??? High end car buyers should stay away from them. I decided to completely give up on BMW now and stay with Mercedes for peace of mind.

Not only do they help me when I am in town, they helped me when my car broke down 3 hours away. Steven Simpers called the dealer's service manager when the dealer was not super responsive and got them to fix my car so that I could get home. I had already spent 2 nights in a hotel over the weekend and my mother was in the hospital so I was trying to get home. No words other than Steven et. al are simply the BEST!

11/14/2023I have been having my cars serviced with BMW San Luis Obispo for the last 15 years. I purchased my current BMW from them via Scott Boulanger as my sales representative, I have found their quality of professionalism and service in all departments of the dealership to be consistently excellent. Since I am still working and needed to leave my car overnight, I so appreciated the convenience of a loaner vehicle. Roger Devoll, who has been my Service Advisor for the last year, is patient, knowledgeable & efficient with a good sense of humor. It is a pleasure to do business with this company.

I was contacted by BMW re a recall. They provided a loaner vehicle, did the repair and provided excellent service. When I returned to get my car I noticed a dinner being served to the community. This is a dealership concerned with humanity.
