I would not recommend this dealership/service to anyone, especially if you are a person of color. I took my mom s Mazda to get new tires for an 8:45 am appointment. Alex, the service advisor, took my car and told me to wait in the waiting room that it would take 2 hours. I waited patiently, but at 12:30 pm I went up to Alex and asked if my mom s car was ready. I could hear the other worker on the phone telling Alex that he would start working on the tires now. I was very frustrated and disappointed. Alex told me it would take longer and did not offer any explanation or apology. He treated me like I did not matter and ignored me.However, when my WHITE mom came in, Alex suddenly changed his attitude. He started to apologize profusely, offered one of their cars. I felt the racism from Alex and I wonder if this is how they train their employees to treat BLACK CUSTOMERS. I felt disrespected, discriminated, and cheated. I will never go back to this dealership/service and I will tell everyone I know to avoid it. This is unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. San Leandro Mazda should be ashamed of themselves.

This review is mainly for the service dept, specifically for Tech 091 (Rajnesh). Not sure what magic he did a couple months ago, but my car has been smooth as butter after just a routine maintenance (the usual oil/filter change and tire rotation stuff). I've taken my car there before, but he's the one that actually made the car run noticeably better after the service. Not that it didn't run well before, but it ran even better after. Keep up the good work!I've also had very positive experience with the parts department. Sometimes you just have to swallow the full retail price when you need them and you need them now(ish). The parts folks have been very helpful and I appreciate it.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

I ve generally had good experiences here, staff are friendly, they re on schedule, and they turn around your car quickly.Writing this review to let people know they WILL try to upsell you. I suppose they re just doing their job but it does feel a little sleazy. I booked a $99 oil change & tire rotation online. When I arrived, Jay told me we have you down for an intermediate service which includes an oil change, tire rotation, and air filter / cabin air filter change, your total will be $275 . I told him that wasn t the service I booked, and he politely gave me the offer I booked. Just be prepared to stand your ground.

Had a rather mediocre experience showing up with my and my partner s car for routine oil changes.I don t know if Jay was having a bad day, but he seemed pretty disinterested in helping Alex with checking people in, despite having a small rush. He was also just ever so slightly condescending to me the whole time.First, they confused our two vehicles, which are two different models. Once we got that sorted, they were surprised we showed up with coupons from their own website. Thankfully those were still accepted.During check in, they suggested I change air filters, so I ordered my own because that requires no tools and takes about 10 minutes, and politely declined.We waited for our cars, and the service took a few hours as expected. Zero problem there, or with the work itself. Paid online to avoid the 3.5% fee (hint: check your email before you go to the counter to pay)Cars were sitting around for about half an hour before we were actually told they were done. Kinda annoying.Upon my partner checking out, he was told don t tell your partner this, but your car was in much better shape than his despite both of them being detailed and maintained to proper specifications at all times. Not sure if that was some sort of attempt to get me to come back and pay entirely too much for them to replace the air filters, whatever.In all, a really meh experience. Not inspired to come back unless it s recall or warranty work.

This dealership does not have an ounce of integrity with their customers. We were quoted one price RANGE over the phone, a different (higher) price during the appointment, and ended up having to pay an even higher price upon checkout. We needed a spare key made. They originally said it would be from $450-550. Then said it would be $599 due to inflation . We ended up paying $630 for a single key, which took 2-2.5 hours to receive. The price breakdown revealed that over $200 of that was just for LABOR . I m just stunned that they were so comfortable with gouging us for the cost of getting a spare key made, it s disgusting and repulsive. This is not customer service, this is highway robbery. Terrible communication, we were so blindsided having to pay excessive fees and we needed it to done so they took advantage of us. I won t be coming back to ANY Mazda dealership in the future.

Jay is the advisor I ve been working with for a few years now. Efficient and straight forward advisor. I like that this dealership sends you a video of your inspection so you feel more comfortable in what they ve stated is the condition of your vehicle.

They are very knowledgeable, personable and professional. Prices are reasonable. Service has been very good and the service advisors are always accesible. They make the effort to share what is going on with your car while maintained or repaired. I did not buy my Mazda here and I wish I had.

I called and made an appointment. I specifically asked the cost for full inspection, they said around $130. I drove 30 miles there, and they charged me $390. Worst of all, they charge you %3.5 if you use a credit card. This is going to be my last time going there for service.

Took the car in for brake inspection. They examined the car, gave me a quote, and did the job well. In and out without any surprises.

Had a great experience at their Service Center. Fast, great communication, and didn t push any unnecessary repairs. Great waiting area too. My service consultant Alex was awesome.
