This mechanic and his team are phenomenal. He saved me thousands of dollars by giving me such great used car pre-purchase advice. When I called to get a quote for a pre-purchase inspection, he first spent a significant amount of his time giving me advice on items I can check myself even prior to bringing the car in to him for an official inspection. When I brought the car in for inspection, he worked efficiently and clearly laid out items I need to get the dealer to repair before purchase. He also advised me on how to make sure the dealer does a thorough repair (no cut corners) and he also advised me to get documentation stating that the repairs have been completed as discussed. He told me exactly what the documents should say to ensure that I m buying a safe vehicle.The dealers (a nearby Audi dealership) refused to provide me the documentation regarding the repairs so I got the deal canceled.Thank goodness for this S&K team! They prevented me from losing thousands of dollars on an unsafe used car purchase. I am so grateful for their guidance during this process! And if I need to purchase a car from a dealer near the East Bay Area in the future, I will certainly be using this mechanic. Thank you thank you S&K Auto!

I am so grateful to have come across S&K auto! I m a broke college student driving an 01 Ford Mustang that is running on its last leg. Mr.Lu, the owner, was very professional and straightforward. I was able to schedule an appointment with him to see my car that needed a new spark plug wire and exhaust manifold. I m not knowledgeable in cars at all, but he took me in at the scheduled time, showed me and explained exactly what the problems were with my car, and showed me the parts he ordered and what he was going to do with them. He fixed it in a reasonable time for me to receive my car back in time for school the next day!!! Compared to many other auto shops especially In Hayward that scam their customers, his pricing and service is the best I have EVER come across in the area. THANK YOU SO MUCH MR.LU!! I ll be coming back for some of those other leaks we talked about! I've been bringing my vehicles for at least 10 years. There's drastic improvement everytime I bring my vehicles. Lou breaks down everything that comes up in a diagnostic test and everything he plans on doing. If plans change he doesn't proceed without my consent. Lou is very patient with my older truck that I just bought. It pretty much needs everything replaced. This is definitely my favorite auto shop!

Love this mechanic. I take all my cars here, does great work, very honest. The owner is a great guy and breaks down all the work he is going to do, or what's wrong, or what maybe you should fix. Highly recommended.

I was referred to S&K by my cousin and I've used them a few times. Each time the staff is courteous. Lou really takes care of you and keeps you informed of what you need and what your options are and the prices are reasonable. The shop is the cleanest shop I've ever been to. I'm never disappointed when I take my cars to him. I will continue to use this auto shop because quality is definitely what you get.

I met Lou through my dad who's been going to him for years, he is the mechanic to go to for the whole family. He's always been honest & detailed about the work needing to be done & he is very reasonable on pricing. I've personally have had quick work to very timely work done on my truck and Lou & his team have done a great job every time. S & K Auto is the best and I'm happy to have found a great place for my truck.

Lou and his crew have been taking care of my 12 year old car for several years now. Great prices - always fair and never over charges for labor. Takes great care when you go to pick up your car to show you what they fixed/replaced. Super nice and also? Very quick turn around. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Jan 2016--Well, Thank You, Lu and your great mechanics, again! I thought I was going to lose my car--I thought it was majorly ill and beyond affordable repair this time; but wait..Lu and his mechanics said "give me 10 minutes and maybe you can take home!" What? Yes, 10 minutes after the test drive to locate problem area and true to their word, I was on my way, car running smooth and great again and after I already saw myself without a car! This was too good to be true and this is how Lu and his mechanics always run this car repair service! Thank you, Lu and crew, again. I can rest assured I will have a car to get to work again. Thank you for being trustworthy and honest.Lu is GREAT! Lu and his workers are as honest as the day is long and I so appreciate Lu and his help getting my car fixed up quickly and without fuss. Even in emergency I know that he may be able to squeeze me in as he doesn't tell all to come right in--he only schedules what he knows he can accomplish in the day! His prices are very fair--I would say low compared to all others and I totally trust Lu when he says something because he has integrity--to me this comes before all else; but he's also the best master mechanic around! Lu is one of the most sincere auto mechanics I have ever interacted with. He is simple phenomenal.You cannot go wrong with his warmth, precision & attention to the minutest details.After my first visit, he has become a direct source and a doctor for my car..... that makes very little visits to him. And he likes it that way!!!

Lou and his team provide outstanding customer service! They take the time to explain each problem and provide recommendations for repairs. They are honest and fair in pricing. The only auto service shop I trust with my vehicle! Best shop in San Leandro hand down. Ask for Lou he is the owner. He is by far one of the most Honest mechanics I have ever had the pleasure of doing business even considering I m probably coming to see him because my car has busted in some way. He always tells you like it is even if that means you won t be getting any work done.

Whoever wrote that prior bad review, I would seriously judge their interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to any human in general.Lu is fantastic, in the past 8 years, he's taken care of 3 cars for us. He's polite, friendly, and fair in his pricing almost to a fault, which is probably why he's so busy. I called him at 11:00 am for some necessary servicing and brake work. He told me to bring the car in and it was all done by 5:00pm, and all at a price at about 1/3 of what it would have cost me at the dealership and likely would have been without my vehicle for several days.There is no one else in the Easy Bay that I would trust with our vehicles. There aren't enough adjectives to describe what a true craftsman he is as well as an excellent person to do business with.

The work is always done quickly, at a fair price, and well done. Lou and his team always try to find ways to save you money and will never suggest unnecessary work. This is one of the most honest shops I've ever used. The only drawback is that appointments may be hard to get because they're so in demand, your best shot is early in the morning when they open. I won't take my car anywhere else.

S&K is the best auto repair shop in our area! They are FAIR, FAST and RELIABLE. Very low labor rates! We never take our cars anywhere else. Lou and his team are the BEST MECHANICS! We highly recommend to everyone. Worth a drive from anywhere in the Bay Area! Open on Saturdays too.

This shop demonstrates the true professional and most honest ethnic. Son, the head mechanic demonstrates honesty, straightforward and eventually teach customer a few tips about cars troubles. I live in San Jose, but were disappointed many times by the local shops, not only they're ripped off, but fixed nothing. They costed me a lot of money. A friend of mine who lives in San leandro know about my problem and recommends me to tryout this S&k shop. I drove more than 30 miles to this shop and they pin point my car's trouble exactly on the spot. I drove home happy. I highly recommend this shop. From now on, this shop is my only go to.

Met Lu 20 years ago when he worked across the street. When he bought his own place, we went with him. I have never gone to another mechanic. He explains everything and has taught more about how my car runs than I would ver learn from a manual.When we wanted to buy a car, we take it to him to see what he thinks. At one point he asked me not to bring in our 1987 Caravan anymore, he knew we would get more from the state to get it off the road than it was worth and he didn't want me sinking more money into it. He is honest and fair and I trust him with keeping all our cars safe and running perfectly. 100% highly recommended.

s & k auto is the best mechanic I've ever been to. lou is honest and fair and always tells you you the truth about your vehicle and what might be the problem. I've referred several people to him and they are all extremely satisfied and I will continue to have my car serviced by lou as long as I am driving.

I have 1998 Toyota Corolla. Runs like new. S&K Auto Repair is the place with quality and integrity services from Engine health to Road safety. I'm Deaf, they demonstrated with visual the reason to replace certain parts. I went along without hesitation. They're great crew.

The experience was good service was good and price was what i expected ... They installed a Super 44 flowmaster muffler on my Z71 Crew cab Silverado with a Whipple Supercharger on the Vortex 5.3My only complaint is the muffler is not as loud as I was expecting but that is not S &K Auto fault..

Lu is a good man S&K Repair is very good people with bad reviews are tripping. I get my car service there a lot whenever I have a lick I mean I call Lu and he fix the problem in a timely manner that's great service and good prices so give Lu a try he a very good mechanic.
