I love this shop cause they quickly find the problem with my car and fix it A.S.A.PThey are now closed on Mondays. They accept cash and card. They don't do songs anymore but they have places to refer you to.

This place reminds me of my grandfather's garage when I was growing up. Bob is a true blue mechanic from back in the day--knows how to work on old school motors along with the modern engines.Went in on a fluke just to get an oil change from a ValPak coupon. His guys weren't trying to oversell me anything, but (preliminary) diagnosed a leak, from my timing cover. They weren't trying to tell me there were problems with my car that I didn't have and probably will save me several thousand dollars in unnecessary work.Definitely the place to take your car to, an honest mechanic, good service, took good care of the car, not a rush job. (He gets cars from the 40's, 50's and 60's to fix. There were 2 classics there when I came in: a Plymouth from the 40's and a '59 El Camino parked under the sign.... there's not many mechanics you can trust to work on classics like that.)I'll be bringing my vehicle back here for any major maintenance I can't handle myself.

Came for a tune up at 10am took till 1pm Costs $200, on my way back home check engine light started flashing and car started jolting. The shop wouldn t answer the phone, so I had to leave my car on the side of road. To have it towed back to the shop the next day. Arrive at 9am and they still didn t finish fixing it till about 2pm.

One of the last Auto shops that i know that is honest and admirable, and not to mention prices are affordable, customer service is always 100%. Thank you Bob's Auto Shop you are appreciated

It's actually called Bob's automotive now, great place for oil changes, nice people, no more smog checks! The only issue I have is they don't call you to let you know if the car is ready and they are always off on the time your car will be ready, so you end up waiting.

This is the only place I take my car. Their prices are the best I have found, the service is great, and they always make sure to walk you through everything that has been done to the car.The shop is first come first served, so either bring a book/ explore downtown while you wait or get their first thing in the morning so you can be in and out quickly!

I trust them to give an honest assessment and deliver great results. I had an old 1987 toyota tercel about 5 years ago. They kept it running for years. I upgraded and still feel stongly about them taking care of my car. Awesome customer service. Bob and team.

Asked for a tune-up and a smog check. But they did smog check first.Car passed, so tune-up wasn't really needed to pass smog. While doing tune-up service guy breaks the ends of two wires leading to spark plugs, Now needs a new set of wires... Is this a scram? No apology, just their cost for wires set that they broke. This is after coming in at 8:30 am and leaving till 11:30 am. Would you be happy?

Always honest always genuine and it doesn't matter what location you go to Oakland San Leandro they're all the same good guys. They also have coupons if you look them up online at quality tune-up. Com it's under offers and you can present the coupons on your phone when you are getting the work done mine was for a smog and an oil change and they honor that.

Wasted my time here. Needed a smog arrived at 1/21 at 2 dropped a car off for smog cause they have 2 cars ahead of me. I Asked If i could leave the and they will call me when it s done. They said that s fine. Called a Lyft so I could go home. Shop closes at 5 haven t received a call so I called at 4:40 and said it will be done first thing in the morning. Shop opens at 8 called at 10 car still hasn t been done and will be done in 30 more mins. Call another Lyft to go to the shop get there 10:50am and was not even in the process of starting the smog. Then they told me 1 more hr and I go for a walk around the area come back car still hasn t moved waste a day. Just got my car back at 12:10. Almost 24hrs and they couldn t do a simple smog. Thank you for wasting my time and money. Have photos of calls and receipts of my time wasted. Don t waste your time here.

Thieves - I took my car in to have a smog check and also have them look at a power window that fell of the track.I asked for a quote to have the window placed back in the track. They quoted me $280+, saying that I needed a new regulator. I said no, took my car home and pulled apart the door myself. I also looked up the cost of a regulator - I found it for $40 delivered same day.Turns out, they must not have even checked the window at all. It simply (as I suspected) slipped off the track. I fixed by myself in less than an hour. NOTHING WAS BROKEN and NOTHING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.It is a great reminder to always ask to see the parts replaced.

Can take a long wait but the experience is worth it. Have been coming here for oil changes and engine lights problems. They also check your car for other potential problems on every oil change. Good price for the service .

I would give this establishment less than 1 star but I'm unable to. Don't ever go here, they will waste your time and money. Quality is the last thing they delivered.I had an appointment to have diag ran on my vehicle. My vehicle is carbureted, I made sure that I made that clear before I booked my appointment. A person name Bob, ensured me that he had a specialist who will assist in the diag of my vehicle upon my arrival. Since my vehicle was not running at the time, I had it towed 26 miles to this establishment. I had a coworker reccomend this place because he used to work there and he mentioned that he trusted their work on all of his vehicles so I took his word and gave it a shot.Upon getting there I spoke to Bob yet again, (the same person who booked my appointment a couple days prior) but all of a sudden this time, they were booked until next week, and their specialist wasn't even "familiar with carbureted vehicles like that ". Since I towed my vehilce there, I asked if I could leave my car there over night so I can find another tow back home, bob refused and told me I could just park it on the street because they were unable to assist me. Even though I had an appointment sched.So, no. I would not recommend this establishment. I would not give this business my money or trust them with my vehicle. I would give this place 0 stats if I could.

I can say that the service was weird. There is no direction how this services works. I stand for a while and after getting service. The service guys told me to rollout form, and Left. After asking the service guys to call me with smog check was done. I headed to get a bit. After 4 hours I called the shop and told me Oh yeah your car is done.....

Dont go here. They diag your car wrong every time my daughter that her engine was bad and that there was a leak in the coolant. Come to find out that after the second diagnostic there was nothing wrong with her engine at all. Don't trust these people. They try to charge you more for whatever is wrong with your vehicle than what they need to. I would definitely go somewhere else

I used to come here alot. However, after showing up 30 minutes before the doors opened at 8am and leaving around 2:30 just to have a hose repaired was the last straw for me.

This place is great! I came thinking I was gonna pay an arm and a leg for repairs, I paid way less than that. Ask for Angel or Jerry, they'll treat you right!

I GO TO QUALITY TUNE UP BECAUSE I TRUST BOB. HE'S HONEST AND HE ,IN MY OPINION DOES NOT TRY TO GAFFLE YOU, I HAVE BEEN TO WECHANICS THAT HAVE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF ME BECAUSE OF MY LACK OF KNOWLEDGE WITH CARS I'VE HAD THEM CAUSE A PROBLEM TO MY CAR THAT I WAS NOT HAVING PROBLEMS WITH BEFORE. IF BOB ARE ANY OF HIS MECHANICS MAKE A MISTAKE WITH YOUR VECHLE, AND YOU KNOW WITHOUT A SHAWDOW OF DOUBT THAT YOUR CAR WASN'T HAVING THE PROLBEMS UNTIL YOU LEFT THE SHOP HE WILL CORRECT IT, OR HE WILL LET YOU KNOW WHY AND EXPLAIN IT TO YOU OR HE WILL CORRECT IT IF IT WAS NELEGENCE ON THEIR END. I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER OF QUALITY FOR AT LEAST 18 YEARS. I MOVED OUT OF OAKLAND TO MARINE COUNTY FOR A FEW YEARS AND STILL BROUGHT MY CAR TO BE SERVICED BY QUALITY TUNE UP. IT'S SO COMFORTING TO KNOW THAT YOU CAN TRUST THEM. AND TO ME THAT'S VERY IMPORTANT AND STRESS FREE. THANKS BOB KEEP UP THE GOID WORK AND MY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY

Place says they open at 8, I am still standing here at 8:30 on Wednesday. Zero respect, zero professionalism, would not recommend.
