Jimmy and Staff are phenomenal! What a team! I'm really impressed with how thoughtful, detailed, knowledgeable, and friendly Jimmy is. He came HIGHLY recommended by my boyfriend who said he's been using Jimmy for 20 yrs for all of his vehicles plus his kids' cars, especially for inspections for purchasing used vehicles. My neighbor/friend ALSO highly recommended Jimmy in passing and has used him solely for years for all of her maintenance needs. Just rare to find a mechanic you can trust. Keep him saved in your bookmarks! He's worth the drive if you are in the Bay!

Words cannot express my gratitude for all of the hard work that Kristen, Jimmy, and the whole team put into the extensive repair work my family has needed over the past few years. They are all complete pros when it comes to any auto needs, and they always do the best offer you an affordable and fair price for their top quality work. Forget all other shops, especially any dealership affiliated ones, and just take your car here. You won't be sorry:)

Jim, Kristen, Arnold, and the entire team are absolute professionals! My family has been coming here for over 40 years and there is no one else we would trust more with our cars. They are absolutely reasonable, very honest, trustworthy which is almost impossible to find in the world of mechanics these days. They just renovated and repainted in the whole place looks very sophisticated and cool. I highly recommend them as I would trust them with my life.They have helped me with all kinds of strange issues that other people have not been able to help me with and they have gotten me in same day and out without any problems.They do an incredible job at everything they do, have a wonderful family vibe, and very few people ever leave there Most people who are working there have been there for decades. That says a lot about a place!I love this team and I'm so grateful for all the help that they have given to me and my family over the years. I highly recommend them, look no further you have found your new favorite mechanic shop!

Took our daughters old Ford Explorer in for a diagnostic and repair of a cooling leak. Jimmy and the crew found the problem making the necessary repairs quickly and professionally. Jimmy took the time to explain the issue and showed me the old parts. If you want honest, competent and friendly service, Precision Auto is your place to go.

I went to this place because my car heater wasn't working. I needed a diagnostic . The problem was not solved by my decision , since it is very expensive to fix. But I want to highlight the good attention, explanation and help they gave me at that time. I felt very good, beyond the car problem. Thank you

As DIY (Amazon parts type of guy), I was working on my AC system and needed to properly dispose of the freon. Called everywhere and had no luck and finally Kristen came to the rescue at Precision Auto Care. Jimmy not only offered the service, but also provided a fair fee (the guy is a riot!).After making some major repairs on my 98 Ford F150, I came back to get the AC system recharged. Working with Arturo (one of the great mechanics at the shop), turns out I had bad part from Amazon and had to get it replaced. Arturo also pointed out some other items that needed attention (Arturo is da' man! This guy knows his stuff and SUPER friendly and helpful). Jimmy (tone at top helps! Jimmy was very helpful and friendly) was gracious enough not to charge me anything and let me know do a drop in the next day to get my AC serviced.Finally, got my AC serviced up and running and had an overall great experience at Precision Auto Care. These folks know their stuff and highly recommend!

My brakes were faulty after having them replaced 2 months earlier. The owner replaced free of charge of parts and labor. I was very pleased.

Precision Auto Care is trustworthy and competent. My vehicle has over 200k miles and many things could be fixed or replaced. They make sure to communicate what is wrong and what needs to be done to keep/get it running. I appreciate not being nickel and dimed for things that can wait or are maybe not even completely necessary. I live in Concord and there are lots of options for auto care but I will continue to come to San Leandro because the peace of mind that I am not being taken advantage of and the care that is put into my vehicle.

My best friend introduced Precision Auto Care in San Leandro to me. Now I know why she highly recommended this company and uses them to maintain her cars for two decades.In my case, after they inspected the car, they suggested I go back to the dealer to confirm the warranty due to the high cost of the repair. From this point they earned my trust. I felt that this company is not just want to make money for themselves, they think from their clients point of view and they consider client s cost.Of course they did great job for the problems of my car. Now I am highly recommending this place to for the people who needs auto care.By the way, I was dealing with Jim, who looks tough from the outside, but I can feel that he has a good heart and responsible and dependable.Thanks.Service: Transmission replacement

Precision Auto in San Leandro lives up to it's reviews online. I had fast efficient service for my car which needed a tune-up among several other things which I was aware of beforehand. Upon inspection of the car I got a phone call and the shop itemized what it is I would need and the cost of the parts and labor.The car was ready to go in the course of 8 hours from the time they started working on it to the time they finished. I was not upsold on anything. When I got my car back, it was running better than when I first got it! I believe for the cost of all the parts and labor the price was very fair.Before I brought my car in to the shop I was very concerned that I was going to have to sell my car soon because of the amount of wear and tear it has been through.What I go back again? Most definitely! I feel as if my car has had a new lease on its middle-aged life.So right now I'm going to hold my big red foam finger really hot in the air and say a Precision Auto San Leandro your number one!

I ve had my cars serviced at Precision Auto for many years. The owner is friendly and honest. Everyone does their best to efficiently complete the service so that I can get my vehicle back as soon as possible. I really appreciate their thoughtfulness and customer-centric way of conducting business. They re professional, always do a great job AND in a timely manner! Worst experience ever. Single women beware that you will be taken advantage of here.Lied about repairs needed. Said I needed front brakes and rotors replaced and it was down to nothing and very dangerous to drive. Nope! got a second opinion and I did not need that. Other numerous repairs recommended were also deemed completely unnecessary by a separate auto shop. This added up to over a Thousand dollars of repairs.In addition, they wasted hours of my time trying to fix problems they created: When I drove my car off the lot it didn t run right. It loudly chugged and choked This was a routine, hundred thousand mile, check up. They hadn t test driven the car after the maintenance and apparently they put in a faulty spark plug. So I had to immediately return to the auto repair shop to have them troubleshoot what they did wrong. This took an additional hour.They also replaced my tail light but in the process they also broke my tail light and haven t paid to replace it. Sonow my car is in worse shape then when I brought it into their shop.All their errors also added up to me being there for an additional 2 hours.Very weird and unpleasant experience with the owner. I gave him an opportunity to make it right and he was really weird about it and acted mad and I felt uncomfortable.I went to a different auto shop for a second opinion and was shocked at how precision auto had tried to take advantage of me. Also, my taillight is still broken

The best thing about Precision Auto Care in San Leandro is that they are honest! Their prices are reasonable. I have never felt taken advantage of.Even though I ve moved to San Ramon, I still drive in because it s worth it.They are quick to service my car. Went far out of their way to bring prices down, extremely communicative. They ve earned my repeated business for all my cars by going above and beyond on my last repair. Good shop. I d recommend them to close friends and family which is about as good as it gets.

The Precision Team fit me in for a serious maintenance needed before I had to hit the road for a business trip. They did this even when their day was already full. I really appreciate the customerand car care! They strive to know you and your vehicles and demonstrate it during the intake/assessment. Gas pedal got sticky so stopped in. He said morning is best so next day was there.Checked for the part in case!Mechanic did a simple cleaning and solved the issue.Update; Got more work done Jim was fantastic and pampered us, kept me from damaging my windshield with new wipers.Go to him he's fantastic!Simply....... Thank You!

Initially I dropped off my cutlass to this auto repair shop thinking that I would have work done on the car. The owner Jim stated that he would make an exception and get my car in over the weekend to have all the work done. Once I showed up on Tuesday to have the car picked up, The owner wanted to charge me 1300 to have the work done but none of it was completed. My AC wasn t working Man of the valves were installed yet he wanted to charge me the full price. I would not recommend going to the shop unless you are going to have possibly a $40 oil change done otherwise this is not the mechanic for anyone.Service: Engine repair

Are you kidding? these guys are amazing! I will not take my car anywhere else. Every time I have worked with them I came out not only feeling like I have been taken care of but also that they truly cared about me. Your car deserves to be cared for by these people!Adding to this after reading the only bad review that was posted. So sorry he had a bad experience. Every place has someone where things just did not work out. I am NOT paid by them. I am NOT a pro reviewer. I had Beetle for 12 years that they kept running. I have no idea how they did it. I had an amazing amount of miles on it when we finally retired the car.They have ALWAYS treated me well. They were great at leading me to pay less than I would have. I had to replace an engine. They did it. But they told me "Here is a list of other things we can do now that the engine is out that is CHEAP! If you wait till the engine is back in it is all expensive! Lets bundle this together." They saved me in the long rung LOTS of money.Every store or service has someone with reason to be unhappy. But it looks like the majority here had a GREAT experience with them.

Had the best experience with Precision Auto! Jim could tell I was having a hard time with my vehicle and did everything in his power to help. It's tough to find a good mechanic out there but I would highly recommend this place! Great, trustworthy people! Would give more stars if they had them..
