I love this place! They gave me the cheapest price for an oil change (I also replaced my filter as well, which is common when you are getting your annual oil change). They noticed my tire pressure light was on and filled my tires up to the safety standards for free and did not even tell me that's how caring and helpful they are here! I brought my own oil as well and they used that and returned the remaining oil bottle that wasn't used. Very honest and fast service at the best price that I've found in San Jose. I will definitely be back here as it is affordable and I love supporting local businesses that really care about the quality of service that they provide. Much love <3

I have taken my car here twice. Once, when it was without appointment and they were very well accommodating, the second they were easy to schedule and always provided the best service I received here in San Jose compared to other shops. Go to V&S Auto Repair. Best place in miles

I was referred to V&S by Akin Auto to do some major engine work. I trust Akin so I took his recommendation.Victor (owner of V&S Auto) is an honest and hard work man. Took a little longer than he told me but ended up waving the credit card fee because of it. Highly recommend Victor and his team.

V &S is the best mechanic I've had in YEARS. Trustworthy, honest, quick, very helpful, fair priced. Family oriented, friendly. I cannot say enough great things.They were able to help me with a Kia problem that the dealership was stonewalling me over, went above and beyond and found me the class action lawsuit against Kia for the problem on top of fixing the mechanical issues.

My car was overheating and I brought my car here through a referral. They were able to fix my car right away and I also asked them to fix my front signal light. It s hard to find trustworthy auto shops but I m happy with the results provided by this shop. Very friendly customer service as well!

The owner of V&S is very professional and honest. Either the father and/or son is always been present at the shop when I've gone (both times I've dealt with the son). They are very thorough so you don't encounter anymore issues after the job is done. They explain to and advise you exactly what needs to be done to the car and let you decide what you want to do (they showed me where the problem was.. with my transmission.. and what reoccurring problems may happen if it isn't fixed.. they will let you know what needs to be done now or soon and what can wait.. but basically they explained the long term and how much more costly it would be if it's not taken care of soon). After they complete the job, they tell and show you what they have done to your car.They won't give you a quote over the phone, which put me off a bit at first but understood and am happy about now, because they want to see what the issue is before they can give you an accurate one. Now, I don't see why other mechanics can give you a quote over the phone without even looking at your car.The price they give you is very fair and they don't pressure you to get it done. I actually called around and went to other mechanics to check prices, and V&S is better.I highly recommend to do your own research, but for me, V&S is fair/good in price and the plus side is how informative and the patience they have to explain what they are doing before and after they fix up your car.

I went in for a check engine light diagnostic, the owners son was so professional. He explained everything so thoroughly. This was the third shop I went to in San Jose and honestly I RECOMMEND this shop 10000%. My biggest fear was us getting ripped off, but instead he clearly explained what was wrong, gave excellent recommendations and didn t even charge for the diagnostic (whereas a different place I called said they would charge $40). They also do everything in the shop which helps (I.e. transmission etc).Trustworthy and affordable. Highly recommend this shopService: Auto engine diagnostic

I have a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe,I was driving on Sunday to football game,my car started to violently shift down or when I violently shift up, I was freaking out,I just bought the car a month ago with only 125,000 mile's,I'm thinking I need a new transmission most definitely, I took it to three other shops one is a nationally known shop,they all wanted over $100 to just to diagnose the problem, V&S auto not only fixed my problem for just over a $100, they took it and fixed it same day, Victor and Jr were so great!!!! Professional, honest,I have two other cars and they are my mechanic's for life,THANK YOU V&S Auto.

Victor and his Dad are very fair and do great work. My husband towed his BMW from Tahoe to have Victor repair and always tows from anywhere in Bay area to have his Benz and Lexus serviced there. One of only honest mechanics he has ever know and always best price for dealer quality work

As always Victor was fast and fair. Dropped car night b4 and it was ready for pickup 9 30 next morning. Went in for brakes and Victor determined that only needed rear brakes now. He Never has me do unnecessary repairs. I have been going to V & S for almost a decade. He is the only mechanic i Tip. Go to V & S

V&S was my go to auto repair place for years. 2010-2015 moved out of the area but when in San Jose they always took care of my 2002 Mustang at a great price, solid service and high quality work.

Ok let me be clear the only reason they even got one star is for the speed of service. They did do a fast job which is what you want.So to my review... I gave my car to them to do a full clutch replacement ie flywheel, pressure plate, friction,& disk. The kit I bought and supplied to them contained a pressure plate, flywheel and friction disk. However it was missing some needed parts...a release bearing, pilot bushing, and (due to the different design of the new flywheel) eight crankshaft bolts. The eight bolts are where for securing the flywheel to the crankshaft.My nightmare was caused by the bolts they supplied and charged me for, 30 dollars to be exact... So AS SOON as received my car back and turned the key to crank the engine I knew something was horribly wrong. Those 8 bolts they charged me for failed due to the engines natural torque. All eight broke due to poor quality or improper torquing...this in turn let the flywheel separate from the crank. The now loose flywheel destroyed my transmission, new clutch assembly and almost took my crankshaft (engine) with it.Now you might say "You didn't give them an opportunity to fix the problem..." However true that may be...Every customer can always tell when business appreciates your decision to spend hundreds of dollars with them. I did not have that feeling after I received my car back from them. From that instinctive feeling I knew they would fight to deny me any repairs.I then took my car to a professional shop and they couldn't believe what happened. The repair consisted of a new tranny, clutch kit and an EXTENSIVE crank shaft repair. All of which was coming out of my pocket (no warranty).After personally paying for a rental car for weeks plus a full repair I am out over 9k dollars. The pro shop documented all the damage and I WILL be seeking a legal consultant.My advice. Find a specialist for your model vehicle OR do it yourself if you have the time, and know-how...you will save $$$.

I took my Porsche Cayenne to Victor because of front differential leaking, he gave me a very reasonable quote which was almost half the price that dealership quoted.The finished the job right on time and I m extremely happy with their customer service
