Larry Townsend and his whole team at this shop is awesome and it feels like you are family when you walk in. Larry always takes the time to personally help with you and is very knowledgeable and professional. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality of work they do. It s hard to find honest auto repair shop like this one.Highly Recommend!

I needed a last minute oil change and I was able to get in and out on my hour lunch break. Everyone was incredibly helpful and honest. Pricing was great, employees were enjoyable, and communication was excellent.

Larry and the team are fantastic. Right to the point. No nonsense show you the work. Simply wonderful staff. Amazing service. I went in there for front brakes. I'm going to go back there again when I need back brakes and perhaps some other services as well. Good luck out there!

Fast oil change! One minor problem was steering wheel and key fob was slightly sticky and dirty. Wasn t like so before giving car to them.Overall would recommend for oil change.

I arrived on time for my appointment of oil change, synthetic, close to $90. They performed the work promptly. I was promised with 30 min and when I got back 40 min later, my car was ready to go. In that time, they also performed fluids check, maybe few other things but didn't think I need any other work done.In my previous experiences with the other two garages, one had me waited for close to 3 hours, with an appointment, and fully aware that I was waiting in the waiting room. I complained few times and finally the job was done. The other garage didn't want me to be waiting there at all and just told me to leave the car until they called me. Both places wanted me to do all sorts of other repairs after the oil change.So, as you guessed, when I called Townsend, I specifically said that I didn't want to have the whole car thoroughly checked, just a simple oil change. Since their waiting "area" was not available due to the spring cleaning, I took a walk to SJSU campus. When I came back, car was ready.

Needed oil change and tire rotation ASAP and they took care of me and also spotted cracked rim on one tire. Price was very reasonable, well below the dealership I had been using. Early drop off was a breeze using their envelope system.

THE BEST FROM THE EAST TO THE WEST. Larry is THE MAN! I ve lived in a ton of places and this shop is by far the best I have been too. As long as I am in driving distance I will keep coming to Townsend for all of my cars. & I have a Jeep and it s super hard to find reputable shops with honest folks that do great work on Jeeps. A1! & very very very fair and affordable rates! I am a repeat customer at this business, and foresee myself continuing to do so. Larry & his team go above and beyond every time, from big jobs to the tiniest details, and their enthusiasm shows in their work and attention to detail. I went from going for three years without working windows or air conditioning, and in very short time they had them repaired and in fantastic condition. I would recommend this business to anyone. Great customer service from the owner. Didn t take to long to fix my car like most places want to keep the car forever. Was in and out at a decent time. Prices are a little high but they also take the credit card that I have so it works out because no one takes it and I needed a place that took my credit card. Yes I had trouble with my engine cooling system it was overheating if I ran it for more than 5 minutes and I went to town since made an appointment and they saw me early they had appointment that came and got me earlier than my appointment which was very good and they fixed the car in less than 8 hours shift it's running perfectly I highly appreciate them and they respected my vehicle treated it with kindness and I have given five stars if you ever have a car problem you should go to town since automotive you're the best best ones in downtown San Jose highly recommend them thank you for being there and Larry the boss gave me a discount too yeah very very good person very good person they have good people working there highly recommend themService: Auto water leak repair

The very best you can do for your car is to avoid Townsend's like the plague. When inquiring over the phone, they will call an attractive price for a service, then being on site you will end up with the price higher than on a dealership because of labor fees, transaction fees and blah-blah fees. And all of these will be given in the shop which looks like a junk yard, with questionable staff and questionable quality.

I've been here twice for car service and never been disappointed so far. Both occasions, Larry & co. were highly communicative, very kind, honest, knowledgable and helpful. I trust him and his outstanding team with my vehicle for almost any repair now. Great price for both services too. My car is an Audi as well, so they work on some foreign vehicles! Highly recommend - this biz is a blessing!
