I regularly take my cars for oil changes at the Cottle road. This place lacks customer service particularly the front desk employees who takes the order, they have attitudes and bigotry. I have requested multiple times to check brakes, brake fluids and others for safety reasons, however, they didn t check or didn t tell me. Because of the poor customer service, I wouldn t recommend to anyone.

Andrew and all associates I interacted with were all great! I bought tires from you guys last summer and you guys priced matched with America s Tire you guys were closer to me so I went with you guys instead of America s tire.You guys also had the best price, Costco didn t even carry the Good Year Eagle tires I wanted.I want to say, THANK YOU ANDREW, to the store manager for giving me the best price possible. I m a returning customer and I will keep returning as long as I get the best price and good service.Nothing but good rating for this store. Thank you to your staff!!

I ordered a tire over the phone for my Honda Accord. I got a call back from Skip tires at about 3:50pm on Friday Jan 26th that the tire is ready and to bring my car in, as soon as possible to get it replaced. When I went there about 4:15 pm, the person who had called me had already left for the day and the person at the front desk at that time (I believe his name was Jonathan) refused to get the tire replaced and asked me to come back the next day.It took good 10 mins of back and forth to get him to agree to look for the tire. When he finally did, he found the tire and got it replaced that evening. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience.

I had my car towed to this location a few days ago. They completed tire replacement on time and walked me through the different options available. They didn't try to oversell anything. Overall a very nice experience.

I would give 0 stars if I could, my car was dropped off for a tire replacement (3 tires for $800), and when I came to pick it up the next morning the owner said that my battery was completely dead. Mind you, my father is a mechanic and purchased a brand new battery a year ago and services my car regularly. I also drive this car 4x a day everyday and have never once in 6 years had a battery issue. The owner tries to convince me that it was a prior issue with the vehicle and just by chance happened to completely die on him when they serviced the car. Obviously I was stunned and didn t believe that it was an issue with my car but rather the mechanic working on my car not knowing what he was doing and draining the battery when trying to turn it on and service it. The owner of the establishment got incredibly defensive, lied about communicating the issue with me, and offered no solution other than for me to buy a brand new battery. My father ended up driving from Sacramento to San Jose that morning to fix it himself which he was able to do thankfully as he does not trust crooked businessmen . This business will not only upcharge you for basic services but blame you if they mess up your car, their mechanics are not experienced workers and they lack professionalism and customer service skills. My father owned his own practice for over 35 years and was unimpressed with the owners knowledge and experience, I HIGHLY recommend future customers to look elsewhere for car services unless you re ok with being scammed. This location/workers will be reported to the BAR, this MIGHT teach them to be honest people in the future.

When I think of mechanics, I automatically think I'm going to be taken advantage of, or be rated an increasingly crazy price, only because it's happened many times before. Therefore, I was skeptical when I first came to Skip's. Anthony handled everything from start to finish. His customer service was exceptional, I couldn't have asked for better. He explained everything to me so I could clearly understand what was wrong with my vehicle and I was so shocked at the price, because it was extremely reasonable and FAIR. To be honest, compared to what it would have been had I gone to the dealership or to another mechanic, it would have been skyrocket crazy. He also saw that I was stressed and just handled everything with such ease, and I highly recommend their services. Five star rating for sure! I will be recommending my friends, family and co-workers here going forward! Thank you so much!

I experienced very poor service. Or should I say no service from Skips. This is after purchasing tire from there. I got the i9mpression they were lazy and didn't want to work.I would NOT recommend Skip's to anyone.

My full tires replacement went well although it took hours of waiting, but no bad experience at all. I just do hope they sprayed the new tires with armorall to make them look shinny.

I had my tires done there on an old Jeep. Afterwards, I notices a tire cap was missing. The guy that worked there just casually told me that he didn't see it and proceeded to tell me of a friend of his that sold hub caps. This guy was shady. I knew that at that point, I was never going to see that cap again. Also, he didn't really even seem to care and that if Skip's tiresis willing to hire people like that, that you couldn't pay me. To go back there.

I am extremely frustrated with my experience at Skip's Tire & Auto Repair Center on Cottle Road. My SUV's tire pressure kept dropping, forcing me to repeatedly add air. After enduring this hassle for 3-4 days, I decided to reach out to several places for help with what seemed to be a puncture or a slow leak in my tire.When I contacted Skip's Tire & Auto Repair Center, the person I spoke to advised me to bring in my car and leave it there until they were ready to work on it. I reluctantly complied, given the urgency of the situation. Initially, they quoted an outrageous $80 for a flat tire fix a price that already seemed excessive, considering I had paid just $30-$40 not too long ago for the same car's flat tire repair. I actually called other place for an appointment, but they were unavailable for the next two days. Basically, i had n choice.Around 1.5 to 2 hours later, I received a call from one of their staff members, and the news was frustrating. I was told that that there was an air bubble in my tire, and they insisted that the only solution was to replace the entire tire a single tire replacement they priced at an outrageous $485. This exorbitant quote left me in disbelief, especially considering the circumstances. I adamantly declined their services and informed them I would take my SUV.Upon arriving at their shop, my frustration deepened as I noticed the glaringly evident bubble they had claimed was in my tire. This bubble had never been there before, a certainty I could attest to since both my wife and I had been carefully monitoring the tire's condition. We had frequently filled it with air and conducted thorough visual inspections every few hours due to the noticeable air loss. The fact that this bubble was now so conspicuous only reinforced my suspicion that something was amiss.I took my car to another shop, where I was astounded to be offered a new tire of the same brand and style for a under $200, covering installation and all other costs. The necessity for a new tire was validated by safety concerns, as driving with an air bubble was neither secure nor recommended. In the end, I had to replace not just one, but two tires (long story - nothing bad or negative)My experience with Skip's Tire & Auto Repair Center has left me beyond dissatisfied and deeply angered. Their lack of transparency, honesty, and integrity is beyond disappointing. If I had chosen to go to a different, more reliable shop for a flat tire repair, I could have spent only $40 or less. This entire ordeal has been an utter disaster, and I am determined to never set foot in this establishment again. I strongly advise others to steer clear as well. This has been an abysmal encounter that has shaken my trust in such service providers.

If I could give zero stars I would, kept my car for 4hrs plus sat in the same spot until I gave them a call then my car was up next too much work for them to handle they over book themselves

With the great snow forecast for Tahoe - I called Skip's to see if they could replace my worn out tires the same day.They managed to get the right tires fitted with alignment, as promised, by late afternoon.We had an easy and safe trip through the storm that had dumped six feet of snow in six days and managed to hit the slopes on opening day before the rest of bay area showed up!Thank you guys!

I hate to be dispurging one of the worst experience of my life. Gouged outright gouged $1,100 for spark plugs, two coil packs and a so-called fuel system plush. They quoted me almost $1,200 and I complained and I guess they got it down closer to 1,000. You talk about being bent over and now the cars in another shop because they broke the wastegate. Obviously didn't test drive more than around the parking lot. Stay clear, thieves. Just an update. Had to take the car to another mechanic and they put it together without a gasket. A few hundred dollars later. Got the car back 8 weeks later. Please check into your service.

Made the mistake of having a repair performed on the weekend. Place is very busy, so next time will attempt to only go on weekdays.I just needed to have a flat repaired (on a new tire; therefore, was under warranty). The wait was over 2 hours, but once the mechanic got started, he was able to knock it out in about 20 minutes.The service advisers were very competent and attentive, keeping me informed on what was happening. There are several eateries nearby, which helped to make the wait go faster.Good place.

Skips on Cottle is the BEST! They take good care of all my cars. My livelihood depends on my vehicle and Skips has taken me a lon way over the years! 313583 mile on my 2014 Ford Flex without a major repair. Andrew is very knowledgeable and know the importance of my vehicle. Always willing to answer my questions and fix any issues I have with my vehicle. Skips is always reasonable and saving me money on every visit! Thanks Skips!

I really appreciate this place. I have come to them several times with a flat tire and they always fix it for free! We were so grateful that we bought new tires from them when we needed them. They have always been friendly and provided great service.

This is my second time coming here and again, never fails me. I came in today for a flat tire. Met Tony and he was a huge help and of course Dennis. They were able to fix my problem in 30 minutes. I am very happy with that so THANK YOU both so much. High five for excellent customer service.

The staff at the San Jose store on Cottle Rd are completely unprofessional and trying to rip customer off.1) On their website, there are 4 different grades of oil change you can choose starting from $39.99, but at the store, the staff first quoted me with $106 and said it could be more if the refill was over 5 litter. And then I told him the price he quoted didn't match what was offered on the website, that guy started checking with other people and said he could give me the price listed on the website. If I didn't check the price in advance and questioned about his quote, I would be ripped off.2) Since they had issues with their online appointment system ; they said their online system would keep accepting new appointment even the appointments were full, they were not able to provide me any service the first time I went to the store, so one of the staff rescheduled me to the next day and said he would give me a $15 discount. When I mentioned that discount to the staff working at the store the next day, they said they couldn't find any record about it and refused to honor that discount to me and required me to show them a proof. I told them that should have been in their system or they couldcontact the guy who offered that discount to verify whether , but they kept saying that guy was not working today so there was no way they could verify whether I received that offer. They told me to come back again the next day to talk to the staff who gave me the discount. Those people simply want to make their job easy and don't care about customer service. Finally after a few minutes of fighting for my right, one of the staff found a record showing that I was offered with a $15 discount in their system. They tried to wash it off by saying there was a miscommunication and never apologize for their unprofessional behavior.I am sure you can find better price and service from any local mechanics than from Skip's Tire, a chain store.

The Skip's Tire facility on Cottle Road did a great job of diagnosing the issue and getting it solved. They informed me as to what had happened and how they went about fixing the problem. They were courteous and, overall, just handled things professionally.

Today 8/2/2023 around 11am My cargo trailer had a flat tire plus a loose bridge ((I called it that way because idk the name of the part that connects the 2 wheels )) the point is the team went out of their way to help me fix the rim of the tire , the bridge and replace the damage tire .The manager was really helpful and let one of his techs ((the older Mexican guy forgot his name but really nice guy )) go the extra mile to get the job done ! We need more people like them . I suggest they get a good bonus and a raise because people like them it s hard to find these days . You guys are the best ! Cheers !

Horrible wait time. 3+ hours just up on a jack. To ui street 63t6n mik. 5.ttgg3gjchange a tire rim literally takes 10 minutes at the5&most. This is ridiculous. Never coming here again

Hieu was amazing! We haven t experienced such wonderful customer service. We had a flat tire at night and Hieu and his team at Skip s were not only accommodating but kind. They actually cared about us getting home safely 2 hours away. Truly blown away but such kindness! We highly recommend Skip s.

The man working on my truck did a great job once he got started. I had a early morning appointment to rotate my tires only. I arrived early to be taken at my time slot. I was there 2hrs.( 1 hour 20 tooo long.) We originally bought tires and rims from the blossom hill branch. I will never go back to that location. The rims we purchased within a week the black finish started coming off and the cap fell off going home. The original tires I bought were removed that day and a different brand put on. They said I had to deal with the manufacturer on the rims. (I GOT NO WERE WITH THEM). I suggest to buy tires near were you live.
