It was a Great deal and good service in the beginning.But then they ripped me off coming back with extra $100 for 9 gallons of diesel they claiming they filled over what I filled before dropping a truck after hours.I called to discuss, but guy I spoke with told me that the calculations are made based on mileage I make at 8 miles per gallon. And I have to provide a receipt to prove that I really filled the tank. Unfortunately I didn't take one at gas station, but filled about 10 gallons all the way up to the tank neck. No way someone would fill extra 9 gallons on top of that.They don't really want to discuss anything after charging whatever extra they want, so will have to start with disputing a charge. And will talk after.

Man these guys are great. To my surprise they saved myself and my customer some money today in the service department. Highly recommend them. I have used union city monarch for a couple years now and San Jose location a couple times. Both are solid.

The guy and lady at the front desk were very professional during my first visit. Another guy who was doing the vehicle inspection was also very polite.

I ve rented from these kind folks 2 years in a row now. The trucks are in good condition and the staff are quick and reliable. I had to make numerous adjustments to my rental just a few days before my intended pickup dates and they were happy to oblige. They ve also got one of the best per mile extra rates in the Bay Area.

Worst Service I have taken in the U.S.A. There is no email confirmation for your appointment and they give you 15 days later the soonest time. Isuzu should do some thing on it because my next truck wil most probably be a Ford.

We had to rent a truck to move, it turned out that it took 11 days for us to move. I was so nervous on what it was going to cost us for having it that long.. A very nice young lady at the counter named Nadine, helped us bring the cost down..That's a huge Thank you Great customer service..Very clean truck..No problems..We Will definitely rent from Monarch truck rental again..

The first person that ansered the phone just said Hello. I asked it was Monarch and they said yes. I asked for parts. Told the parts person I was looking for a Fleetguard number. They said They work on Hino and Isuzu. I asked if they could run the PN through a cross reference and he repeatedl "HINO AND ISUZU. I asked again if they could run it through a cross reference (the brand of the filter didn't matter to me). He raised his voice and repeated HINO and ISUZU as if i didn't hear him the first two times. I gave him my two cents and hung up.

It looks like most of the reviews here are from people that rent trucks from Monarch. I purchased a 2017 Hino 268A and had them build the dump bed and box as well. So total purchase price was about $100kFrom the beginning the AC unit never worked correctly, it did not blow out cold air. The truck was taken in three times within the first two years for this issue. Just this week we brought it in again for the same issue. Andy at their Union City branch told me it was not covered under warranty. And we needed to replace the compressor at a cost of $1,400. Mind you this vehicle has less than 24,000 miles on it. He told me my "base" warranty was only 24 months and the AC compressor is not covered. I went back to my salesperson and looked for help. I recieved none.I feel they knew prior to this last visit the compressor was bad. But they decided to do a Band-Aid fix and push it off and let the warranty expire so that I would be stuck with the cost.This summer our company is ready to purchase another $100k dump truck. But this time I will bring my business to a dealer that understands and delivers customer service and satisfaction. As a licensed contractor and business owner since 1985, I know how to deliver customer service and retain my customers. And I have now seen firsthand how not to do that. My recommendation to a small business owner looking to purchase a truck or add to your fleet, go elsewhere.

Used the service, which was fine. However, had a funding issue with the credit card hold that lasted more then 10 days... I asked them to talk with my bank to clear it up and the person named joey told me it wasn't their problem. When my credit card company said they couldht release a charge from a vendor, I was left with an unhelpful vendor and a bank that couldnt reverse a charge they couldnt verify. I expected someone willing to discuss with my bank to confirm information i couldnt provide, they basically told me i was on my own. I dont care how good the truck was, not going back.

I'm giving this truck rental center only 2 stars because: The service was quick and easy but if you're going to charge your customers $9 a gallon for gas, then at least have the courtesy to TELL them that at check out not check in. And POST SIGNS telling your customers of your current gas price -don't just rip them off! Ryder only charges a few cents over and sometimes under the retail gas price.

I been trying to rent a box van for several days while mine is at the mechanic. Each day I m told to call in to check if there are returns and when I do I m getting treated with bad attitude. I also wanted to try out these trucks with the idea of buying one. Now I m ready to shop elsewhere.

Monarch truck has been a great rental service, providing a variety of trucks that our education foundation has used to move equipment and textbooks. The people are helpful, knowledgeable, and curtious. So a great company.

They over charged me,didnt perform tasks that they themselves checked off a list.Lied about all of it.I was so pissed i took the truck to a different machanic and he found even more that was not done but they checked it off the list and charged me $1500.00Dont even think this is a one off.Take a good look at their paper work then go check the work for yourself...

Over 20 years I have always been satisfied renting here. Good trucks, flexible and timely, at reasonable cost. I would not rent anywhere else.

I just bought a Gmc w3500 with them, the truck its in very good conditions, and was a good price.. Bob and Ben ware very professional and they answerd me all the question I had.I will update in the near futrure if something goes bad with the truck....but look good..Thanks Monarch
