Needed new tires for my car and friend (and local to the area), highly recommended them. James, the owner is responsive and able to answer any questions very quickly. Normally, for quotes expect to have him text you back a link to select which tires. Was very lucky to get an appointment within the same week. Happy to always frequent and support local businesses.

We love this place when we came the owner immediately approached. Us try to give us the best fastest service possible and we noticed that he did that to everyone. This place is highly recommended if you ever need to fix your tire come here.

Very good experience. Thought I had a tpms issue but Kim checked my tires and explained why it isn't an issue and gave me a free check of the tires. Honest.

I've bought 2 sets of tires from Kim's and even though the first set didn't last as long as they were supposed to (which was probably due to the way I drive. Hard and fast) their customer service and the warranty they offer when you purchase 4 tires are fantastic and made me want to go back to them for the second set!!!! They are always extremely helpful when I've called. And They have quick service!

Feb 6 2024 - returned the Kim s for tire repair (picked up a screw). Fixed it under warrenty. In and out within 20 minutes and his shop was loaded.HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you need tires.Old post follows.Kim's was recommended by a friend in our Norcal MINIs Car club.Kim's prices were fair and their service was excellent.Another happy customer and an opportunity to thank my referring friend.

James runs a great tire and auto shop. Great quality work and the most honest person you will ever meet. I have been coming here for 7 plus years servicing my vehicles and he always has the best prices and gets the job done fast and top notch. Never having to return for any problems. His mechanics are very knowledgable and friendly . A+++

Kim's Tire & Automotive is the best value I have found in the Bay Area for tire work. His team can handle high-end rims and performance tires. I have been to many places, and I'll drive past a number of those to get to Kim's.

I had a.. stressful and work altering experience. I brought my Mercedes in for a fuel pump job, they fixed but a problem existed with the fuel filter which was then replaced. Unfortunately, while they were doing this job, the coolant reservoir was damaged by them,needing replacement as well. Afterward, the owner refused all future work on my vehicle. Real professional huh? Beware Mercedes owners. These guys want to be the " Car Guys" but will blacklist you if they are held accountable for their mistakes. Take your business elsewhere

I called Kim's tire in need of two new tires the same day. James was able to squeeze me in within two hours of my call. The tires were cheap and James was so easy to work with. They were installed in 45 mins and I was out. I'd highly recommend this place. Great service!Just FYI - his place is squeezed down an ally of other automotive shops, so it's tough to find a parking spot. Just pull in front of his place and ask where you can park your car. One of the technicians will guide you.

had an emergency need for a new tire and they were able to have one delivered within a few hours and I came back and they were able to take care of me swiftly and with no problems as i waited in the lobby with my dog. Very well run and fair priced. will be going there again for my other tires soon.

Just went here to get flat tire repair. The staff was amazingly nice and fast in fixing the issue. Price was very reasonable too. Would definitely go here again for other services.

I bought tires at Costco and was told to get a four wheel wheel alignment done or my tire warranty would be void if I didn't. My mechanic recommended Kim's tire and gave me their number. I called, scheduled an appointment for a convenient time. Arrived at Kim's tire on time was told it would be 45 minutes, got a call in 25 minutes that the alignment was completed. Price was very reasonable as it was less than I paid for a wheel alignment a couple of years ago when I bought tires at the place that sold me the tires. James was great, took time to explain that the car was way out of alignment and what was done to correct the problem. Immediately on driving away I noticed a huge difference in the way the car handled. It handled so much better I was amazed! A bonus is that a few weeks later I noticed a 3 mpg improvement in trip computer. Five stars plus!

I have been very Happy with the set of tires I purchased from Kim's tire and automotive! The tires were exactly what I was looking for: quiet, comfortable, all season, and good handling in the mid-price range! I love the have that they texted me 3different tires that matched what on was looking for with all their specs and prices! It made figuring out which tires I wanted do much easier having all of the info in front of me at home do I didn't feel pressured by someone trying to make a sale!

This place is totally unprofessional and unreliable. I called in on a Friday and requested a quote for a set of tires. He insisted on taking my phone number down and texting me a quote. I gave in and waited for the quote and was surprised at the low price of the tire but the extremely high price of installation service. But still agreed to purchase the tires. But the worst is that I had confirmed an order of tires and the availability time the next day to make the purchase. I even followed up with an additional message of which he didn't even bother to respond to. I attempted to contact him today Saturday, and he finally responded back to me 1 hour prior to our scheduled pick up time that he didn't receive my severel messages the afternoon prior confirming my order. Bad business James

Had 8 tires dismounted from my SSR Type-C and Rays Payton Palace Queen wheels. Dropped them off, since they had some cars there for service. Wheels were done in less than the estimated hour, and in the same condition as I had dropped them off in. Definitely appreciated since they're not your run of the mill, cheap reps like ESR or JNC.

Professional, courteous, fair. My family own 5 cars and SUVs. I stopped using Costco and Tirerack for our tire and alignment after finding this place several years ago. They do gladly accept Tirerack dropoff and installation services, however, though I found there s really no need.

Thought I could have my flat tire plugged but it turned out the tire was cracked on the side in more than one place. They were able to put my spare tire on today to hold me over in finding a used tire place. Everyone was very professional and definitely will use there service in the further if needed. Thanks for being honest and very helpful

I can't speak to their tires or balancing, etc. But I can speak to their Customer Service. I was in town for the holidays and had been unable to return home due to extreme snow and closed passes over the Sierras. When we went to leave I discovered that I had a flat tire. I went to another place close to where we were staying and they refused to do the repair I wished. I explained that I was just trying to return home and 300 miles was all I needed - just plug the hole and I'll be on my way. Nope, we don't want the liability. I went to Kim's, explained my predicament, and asked someone to look and tell me if they would repair it. He immediately said YES and took the car in right away. 15 minutes later I'm on the road home! The tire got me home and never even lost 1 pound of air pressure. I am forever indebted to Kim's. GREAT customer service.

I was going to order my tires from Tire Rack and have them shipped here but I ended up getting a better deal ordering my tires directly from Kim's and having them install all four tires. Plus it sports a small local business. I highly recommend! I checked around and this was a good deal.

I've been to Kim's a number of times. Service IS great. Kim is very responsive and hard working. Tire prices are good and the will rotate the tires free every six months and do a low cost ($80) wheel alignment every year to extend the life of the tires.Highly recommended.

Second time there. Good service, just as in the first time. Tire had side damage, so I had to get a new one. Their price was competitive and I went with them. I would recommend them.

Quick service. Went in with tire emergency after a quick call to see if they could fit me in. Waited about an hour for estimate. They could not repair tire. Put spare on for me. Ordered me a new tire to be replaced the next day. Didn't charge for spare to be put on since I bought new tire to be replaced the next day. Called when tire was ready next day and had it on and me out the door in about 20mins. Got warranty. They were very nice. No crazy upsell or scary sudden realizations about the car that needed immediate remedy which I've found with some places. I seen him interact with other customers and he was the same. Easy going. Kim seemed like a genuine guy who knows his stuff. Nothing more or less. Small place and parking isn't easy but service is great.

They were booked up for this morning, but I mentioned that I wanted the tires rotated before my son left for a trip that would take it over the mileage limit. They worked me in around 10:00 a.m. and completed the work in about 20 minutes. They are consistently courteous and professional.
