Aldo and his Gearmaster team are awesome. Great communication, price, and quality of work. Highly recommend.Aldo gave me a quote over the phone on Friday and told me to come in Monday morning. I dropped my truck off in the morning and it was done the same day for the price quoted. The dealership wanted to take 3 days, was tough to schedule, and was 3x the price.The shop is clean and organized. Very happy with the quality of work- my truck is back to running great.

THANK YOU to Aldo s team for making this car even better than it already was.I wanted to upgrade my miata s factory open differential to an OS Giken limited slip, which involved modifying the oem parts. Gearmaster was able to do this when other shops said it was too difficult, and they did it in a day and a half! It completely transformed this car for the better and they did a solid job, 2,000 miles (and counting) later no leaks or issues. Responsive, professional, and highly competent team with fair prices.

Aldo and his team saved the day with my Ford Ranger! Gearmaster did an amazing job replacing the clutch and rebuilding the differential/rear axle. He even fixed the shifter bushings and installed a shifter boot for free! Long story short, I bought a lemon truck from a shyster on FB Marketplace and the truck needed the rear axle/differential rebuilt and a new clutch. I was furious, but the experience with Aldo and the work that they did and helping me with the shifter boot/bushings, made me feel much better! I feel safe driving the truck now and t runs like a champ! Thanks Aldo!

Stopped to see if I could schedule an appointment for a diagnostic test. I was honestly expecting to have to replace/ repair the transmission. Aldo test drove my vehicle, said the transmission is fine. Hooked up his computer and found a bad sensor. He replaced the sensor, test drove it again and it runs great!Highly recommended!!!

The guys at Gearmaster are really great. Total gear heads that are passionate about cars and trucks. I had them install new air lockers and gears into my front and rear axle for my jeep. They turned them around quite fast and when I had ordered the incorrect part for the, they were able to get the replacement in quickly so I could get the axles under my jeep in time for an offroad trip. I've been thrashing the axles for the last few months on rock crawling trails and they've held up great.

Excellent service and customer experience. Aldo gave recommendation on going with 4.56 gears on my 2004 Tahoe with my 33" tires. I was hesitant because the forums recommended 4.11 gears from my factory 3.73 gears. Totally happy with Aldo's recommendation.They completely rebuilt my front and rear differentials and installed the new 4.56 gears, serviced my transmission, and checked my u-joints. My Tahoe is now ready for another 150k miles!Shop is clean, waiting room is clean, and all technicians are courteous. No wonder Aldo has been in business for such a long time!

Aldo is the man! He and his crew took in my 18 Tundra for a rear differential upgrade. Went from 4.30 to 4.88. They managed to get my truck in the morning, and got it done by the afternoon. Got my truck power back plus some, loosing it after have them 35 tires installed. Loving it now! Thank you Aldo and the Gearmaster s crew. You definitely have my business in the future.

Great work and very knowledgeable. Aldo took his time to explain to me my options and gave me a fair quote compared to other shops who were quoting me at least $1,000 over what he was quoting. He rebuilt my 93 Chevy C1500 in just one day! Such a quick turn around, I was out cruising that very next day. No issues what so ever now, my truck drives perfect. I would recommend anyone who needs their transmission worked to call Aldo from Gearmaster, very honest shop.Service: Transmission

So this problem has been persistent for over a year now. The Chevy dealership could not figure out our problem and they charged us an arm! The leg came later and still no answers. Well Aldo and family fixed the problem after a quick diagnostic and some good old fashioned experience, intelligence, mastery and teamwork! My experience with Aldo at Gearmaster was unmatched! Professionalism, timing, and cost were all on point. Aldo was the only guy in the area that was willing to take my car same day (Really even within a week). The transmission on my 2013 Dodge Charger started slipping really bad. On my way to work the gears wouldn't shift at all and making a bad winning noise. Towed my car to the shop (4pm) and Aldo had a quote and diagnosis for me the next day! The service was complete the following day and I was so relieved and happy with the work. Aldo is such a cool dude! Even sat in with me during the test drive and showed me pics of the work he completed. Better yet, he guaranteed his work with an extended warranty! Will def be bringing my car back for needed services. As well as signing his praises at the mountain tops and recommending my friends to bring their business here as well. I had used Aldo before for my 76 Scout II. He had rebuilt my Transmission , Transfer Case and Differentials. That was 20 years ago... The workmanship was excellent and the price was more than fair. Here we are now 20 years later and many many miles driven. The drivetrain was still working, but tired. Seals, bearings etc worn. Not bad for all the years driven. I called Aldo, and he took me in. He completely went through my transmission, transfer case, rear differential, and checked the front differential (It was still in perfect condition !!). I just got it back, and it drives better than ever !! He recommended an upgrade to the rear differential that would help performance and reliability. He was spot on !! I absolutely love it !!. Thank you Aldo and crew for all of your hard work. I have had my Scout since 1983, and I know with people like him, I will be able to keep it for many more good years to come. I highly recommend them. They go above and beyond, and their workmanship is superb !!!Service: Transmission

I wasn't able to actually get the work done here because the car dealer was so backed up in getting transmissions to Aldo. He did not even charge me for diagnosing the problem and wished me well as I left. Aldo is a good man, honest, and has 43 years experience. Highly recommend!

Aldo was completely upfront and professional. I had gone to other shops for an estimate for a new clutch and 60,000 mile timing belt replacement for my 2003 Santa Fe. Several said I needed other repairs as well. Aldo agreed to have my car towed to his shop and did a thorough inspection. He was very clear about what the car needed and didn't need. He gave a very fair estimate and realistic time frame for the repairs.When all was complete he came in under estimate and on time! The car ran like new again. No problems at all. Great work!

I Highly recommend this business. Aldo took care of our transmission wonderfully. He had to order a part from the dealer that took about 10 days and he kept on top of it. I took my car to this shop because my rear end had a leak. That's all it had, the guy talked me into rebuilding my rear end. Wasted all this extra money. When my car just needed a gasket. I had to take it to him twice. Not good service or work. Not an honest mechanic, just trying to get as much money as he can from you. Wouldn't recommend this place. Also always ask for your old parts back.

This is the best drive system shop in Silicon Valley. Aldo and his team are very knowledgeable, fair, and professional. They have now done great work on 3 of my cars and every experience has been excellent. They stand by their work, know how to diagnose the issue and will fix once and for all whatever is ailing your car. Wow! I almost want my transmission to go out again so I can go back! Aldo provides friendly service with integrity in his consultation. He almost knew from my description of the problems with my Escalade what was wrong with it. My busy schedule kept preventing me from bringing in my truck when I said I would, but Aldo was very patient with me. When I did finally get my truck in the shop, he completed the work in a timely manner and almost spot on to the estimated price. I really felt like Aldo went the extra mile to service my needs. This is my go to shop for all my automotive needs from now on.

My 2004 Ford F-150 (4WD) transmission went out after only 70K miles. Aldo and his team at Gearmaster rebuilt it and it now has 229,000 miles on it ,160,000 more than the original transmission. I can't say enough nice things about Aldo and his staff. The team here rebuilt the transfer case on my '04 4Runner in about a week! When I initially came, I wasn't sure what was wrong with my truck; and even though his garage was overflowing with other jobs, Aldo took the time to personally troubleshoot my issue and lay out my options - all without charging me a dime. This place is the REAL DEAL - the honesty and outstanding moral character these guys embody is what all service industries should strive for.

Sold me on yea we can build your transmission real good kept saying he would do it then said he couldn t remove it from my car but would build it, then said he was getting parts and estimations. Then stopped responding. I waited weeks to get my transmission fixed by this guy all for him to just stop responding one day. Could ve just told me he couldn t from the jump and would ve saved me about a month worth of my car sittingService: Transmission

If you need a great job done and a shop you can trust, Gearmaster is the perfect place to take your car. Aldo s a fantastic guy! He ll ensure that your car s in pristine condition! Took my car in thinking it was one issue and he informed me that it wasn t just the only problem. Aldo made sure that I knew what was going on with my car at all times, even took the time to show me the issues! Couldn t have asked for a better shop to come to!

The owner Aldo is great! Met him a year ago when we took our truck in to replace differential. He also put a transmission in for us a few months ago. Its hard to find a good reliable and honest shop. I highly recommend Gearmaster!!

Aldo is very welcoming and let me bring my truck by even with his seemingly busy schedule.He showed me my old removed transmission, clutch, flywheel, etc and compared it to the new parts he would be installing.He goes above and beyond by painting the differential, head valve, oil pan, and much more. Its clear he cares about the quality of his work.He is also true to his labor and parts guarantee, unfortunately on the second day after receiving back the truck there was an issue with the slave cylinder and truck would not move. He reimbursed me for the tow bill and immediately diagnosed and replaced the faulty part at no extra cost.Only issue is that since they are so busy it can feel rushed at times and time estimates aren't very accurate, I prefer quality work rather than a quick job but its still something noteworthy.Overall I highly recommend Aldo and Gearmaster, I'll will definately be returning for further work on my truck.

I needed my transmission rebuilt for my 2017 Subaru STI and the guys over at gearmaster did not hesitate to do it. Aldo, who is the shop owner, took great care of me. I told him that I needed to get my car running right by a specific date and aldo was able to get the job done in only 2 days! I ll definitely be coming back here for future transmission work, fast turn-around time and best of it all, he gave me the best price all around town! I had my Range Rover Supercharged transmission rebuilt at gearmaster and the workmanship and customer service was outstanding. I received 3 quotes for the job and by far gearmaster s was the most competitive. Aldo did all he could do to save me money and he did, he was 30% below the other quotes and the warranty was better. I am very satisfied with their work.

Gearmaster is an excellent shop with excellent customer service! Aldo and his team have extensive experience and everything it takes to deliver quality work. About a month ago I reached out to Aldo for a last minute request on my differntial before heading to Tahoe and he and his team made it happen! Truly appreciate all their hard work.

I went to 3 different shops before finding these guys. They have rebuilt my low end due to another mechanics blunders, and did a fantastic job. Brought it in a few days ago not knowing what was wrong with it. They replaced my clutch and some gaskets, even though it's not their specialty. They do good work, everything is clean when you get it back, test drives until you're satisfied, and they have awesome customer service. Aldo and his crew do it right everytime. Look no further.
