What a gem of a smog shop! From the moment I stepped into their beautifully decorated waiting area, adorned with charming Route 66-themed decor, I knew I was in for a delightful experience. The ambiance alone transported me to a nostalgic journey along the historic highway.Not only did they excel in providing top-notch automotive services, but they also catered to the comfort of their customers by offering complimentary coffee and snacks. The addition of the Route 66 decor added a unique touch that made waiting for my vehicle a pleasant experience.However, if I were to offer a minor suggestion, it would be to add small side tables next to the cozy sofas. This would provide a convenient place for customers to place their drinks or snacks while enjoying a good book or magazine during the wait.Despite this minor detail, I can't fault the outstanding service and attention to detail provided by this smog shop. The friendly staff, combined with their commitment to customer satisfaction and thoughtful amenities, make them a standout choice for automotive needs. Five stars without hesitation!

Our long time mechanic recently retired and closed his shop, so we were not looking forward to having to look for our next one.However, my car needed to get smog checked in order to complete the CA DMV auto registration, and we were referred to Dhillon and we could not have been more satisfied!From making the appointment thru dropping off my car and quickly performing the smog check, and the thorough complimentary over all car check report, the status was professionally (over!) communicated and the work successfully completed - so well so that we think that we have quickly found our next long term auto mechanics!

The staff at the front desk are friendly and knowledgeable. I've had smog checks and oil changes performed here before with 3 different cars and each time has been quick and thorough. On this occasion, I had an oil and oil filter change. The technicians treated my car well. The rates are reasonable and they have never tried to sell me on something I didn't need replacing. They're straight forward and upfront with anything they find abnormal. They give no pressure recommendations and estimates. I appreciate that. I've only gone in for routine maintenance or smog checks but if I needed repairs, I would not hesitate to consider them.

This company is very odd. I took my car there and got it serviced. Paid for. Picked it up. When picking it up, the lady gives me my car key and says oh we broke the lock key but you can open your car like so and so. They damaged my car key and made it useless. They tried to reason it by saying that the key was damaged before giving it to me. Yes, the unlock button was damaged so I used the physical key to OPEN the car. I was okay with that as long as I could lock my car and turn on the alarm. They made my key useless by breaking the lock key. Further, they had the nerve to cut the whole button out. I do not get it. I also wasn t told anything until I picked up my car. I was upset because I expect my car to be in the same condition or better when I release it to a shop.Now, see the photo below. They offered to pay half of the cost of the key. I honestly don t have the time in my schedule to go all the way back to San Jose from Oakland to handle this issue. I asked if they could just honor the agreement and send me half of the payment for repairs. I found a way to get it done for a total cost of $286.60. $106.60 for key and $180 for a locksmith. They want to force me to work with their connections, which will cost $350 (175 for key and 175 for locksmith). They are forcing me to pay $175 and to drive to San Jose rather than $143.30 in my area. They are also doing that to themselves for some reason. He is saying I have to accept this or accept nothing but we agreed to split the cost not do it their way. Isn t it standard to just pay when you damage someone s belongings?It turns out they have a contract with this company so I guess they have an incentive.Honestly, this place has been trying to play me ever since I contracted them for services. I will be submitting a BBB complaint too.The only reason why I gave them 2 stars is because they properly fixed my last issue (although it cost me $1,200 just to get my negative cable replaced and get a diagnosis). They seem to be price gougers, forceful and deceptive. I don t want to work with them anymore and I am uncomfortable but I am being forced to get further services at their location to get the compensation we agreed upon.I may have to just go there on Saturday and pay the $175 for the key replacement but I really don t want to and that is why I am writing this review. I was threatened to comply pretty much.Edit: They cancelled the order after my review and said due to unforeseen circumstances your order has been cancelled I have asked for $142.30 as a reply. They don t seem as if they will reply so it looks like I will have to file a complaint with the BBB and sue after I get my key replaced.Was I wrong to write this review? He made it clear that this is my only option. I just feel that I shouldn t be forced to work with them and I honestly don t feel comfortable because they threatened me of other fees and just also because I don t want to have to travel back to San Jose.2014 Chevy Volt

Took my Honda Odyssey van to Dhillon Motorsports for SMOG check. From the request for test to quoting, getting an appointment and the actual test, it was a breeze. They went above and beyond just the SMOG test which is what they could have stopped at. I was given a detailed report of the inspection that they did to my vehicle. Now I know items that need to be worked on immediately, what can wait etc. Overall experience was awesome and I would definitely recommend this place for people who want to take care of their vehicle well.

Ive been coming to Dhillon Motorsports since they were known as Smog Man. Their service has always been top notch. My go to shop for all my smog checks and repairs. Go check them out!

Have brought my Aston Martin here for Smog checks when needed and they are amazing. Super easy to make an appointment, and usually in and out in under 30 minutes. On top of that, Kathy is so lovely and a pleasure to talk to. Thanks so much for the great service, Dhillon!

I ve been getting my smog checks at Smog Man/Dhillon Motorsports for many, many years for all my cars. The folks there are friendly and professional. They also keep their shop clean and complete the work in the time promised. I highly recommend them for smog checks.

Excellent service from the front desk all the way to the technicians and manager. The whole shop is super welcoming and took care of every concern and fixed the family car and kept updates on a daily. Very professional and the job is done right!

Great place for Pre Purchase Inspection. Thorough pictures and information about what is needed for the car through their online portal that they send you instead of a paper write up . Will come here for future PPI and or repairs for any vehicle I may need done.

Brought my Chevy Volt due to some issues after not passing smog. Check engine light was coming on. After diagnosis and calibration they were able to take care and fix my issue. Took it back to get it smogged and passed with flying colors. Thank you Kathy and team for providing amazing customer service. I will make sure to bring my car here in the future with any other issues. 5 service.

I had a great experience at Dhillon Motorsports! I called the morning off and made an appointment to come in for a smog check. I was greeted when I arrived, the person helping me was friendly and professional! She asked for my dmv paperwork, asked me to fill out some quick stuff and then took my car back. They had coffee and snacks while I waited, and then she submitted the pass to the dmv and I was on my way! Seamless process, highly recommend this place!

Excellent, immediate and thorough service! I was extremely satisfied with my overall experience with Dhillon Motorsports. I was especially pleased to have received an email with a list/ breakdown, of the mechanic s findings, along with photographs to support the diagnosis.The email provided a link which allowed me to manually select the services that I wanted to have done and/or decline at this time. Services that were urgent / highly recommended were highlighted in red, which also made it extremely easy to determine which services I wanted done at the time.I also want to add that booking an appointment was extremely easy, as everything was done via text.All car issues were resolved and I would easily recommend Dhillon Motorsports to anyone looking for reliable service, reasonable prices and great communication.

Recently failed my smog test and brought my car to Dhillon which was recommended by BAR. I had gone to at least 4 other shops but all claimed they dont know how to fix a Volkswagen GTI . It took a bit longer to get it fixed due to my work schedule but glad to know they also took the extended time to pinpoint the issues instead of trying to fix something unnecessary. Thanks to their professionalism, attentive service especially Kathy for her understanding, updated me on the status and the follow up afterwards X100

Update: After asking Dhillon Motorsports to stop contacting me and that I will not be using their services anymore I was added to the text and email list and received 3 separate texts from different numbers all said Dhillons Motorsports on them and 2 different emails. Seems very nod a company would need 3-4 forms of communication to get one point across. Had to go online and remove any notifications and text from my "account" I didn't know I had because I didn't sign up for one. Here's a public statement Dhillons Motorsports would you kindly Leave Me Alone!Thank you Went for an oil change, everything went well and the price was normal. After an "inspection" of the car they suggested I get my battery cleaned. I called back maybe two weeks later to set up an appointment for the cleaning they quoted $103 before tax. So I call around. ALL the shop I called do the cleaning for $45-$50. Cancelled with Dhillon and brought the car to another shop. Dhillons texted me asking about the service on my car and if I was happy with it. Sure, the oil change was fine, but I won't be coming back due to their unreasonable prices. They tried to come back at me with "We provide higher quality work then other shops". I just laughed, I'm not going back. FYI the other shop did an amazing job, (high quality one might say).Dhillon does fine work, but it's definitely all about how much they can charge you.

I don't take car maintenance lightly when they're used on the daily to haul my family around. That means I'm extremely picky when it comes to the shops I frequent (it's an extremely short list of shops).I take my kid, in their car seat, out to the backroads often so the shops I deem worthy of my business mean that much more to me.Dhillon responded more quickly than the shop I requested a quote from, that shop didn't respond at all.Chatting with the staff I immediately knew I was talking to car people. Each and every one of them and the Vettes lining the business made me feel like I chose the right shop. I don't even like Vettes. ;]

It took 5 hours to replace the engine oil on my car (had an appointment by the way). This was fun considering I couldn't find a restroom for customers. The very best part was the price for the oil change. It cost me $227 to do a regular oil change. Considering the most expensive oil you could get is around 30$ for the car; this makes me feel really special cause obviously they changed the engine oil with some magical fluid that would give my car magical powers.Service: Oil change
