My dad and I have been coming here for the past few exhaust upgrades. Installed an aftermarket muffler system recently.The mechanic is very knowledgeable and overall a good person. Very good prices. He makes good recommendations to give you exactly what you want! 10/10

Andy was so cool and helped me out big time. I went in to get on a new exhaust I got for my birthday, not knowing my 20 year old car had holes in the exhaust pipe. Andy explained everything and helped me out by getting a new pipe installed, and even gave me a exhaust tip included in the original price. It really made my birthday gift even more special. I went to him to install a j pipe and had a part welded on, around half a year later it was starting to leak a bit but I took it back to him and he re did the welds for me and added a hanger at no charge. Highly recommend him, stands by his work.

Love this place! Went in to check pricing and see what he could do for my challenger to make it louder. He was super busy but still took the time to work on my car the same day! Super fast service, I was only there for 35 min. Great prices and Andy was so friendly the entire time. Highly recommend.

After making an appointment with Andy, I drove my 1999 GMC Yukon to replace two Catalytic converters on it. I was told by other Mechanic that my Catalyst need to be replaced. So I was ready to spend over $1000. But after checking the Catalyst Andy said, They are good and even he took one step further and made holes in them to show to me that I don't need to waste money. He is a very knowledgable and honest person. I had him doing a few other jobs for me in past and he has been always great. I would strongly recommend him for his honesty, knowledge and professional manner.Service: Exhaust

Andy is the absolute best! He did a muffler and resonator delete on my BMW 128i and did it for an unbeatable price and he did it in less than a hour. I highly recommend Andy atClassic mufflers, it s the best place in San Jose.

If you want honest exhaust work done on your vehicle... then this is the place for you. I have been here for the fourth time, today (7/31/2023) in the last 9 years. The problem was not a difficult one but could have cost 3 times more as he showed me what was going on. When he told me what he could do that was a super easy fix, it was a "no brainer" very inexpensive and I was in and out inside of 20 minutes. My exhaust is fixed, with minimal cost and time to me, done right just not stock. Thank you again Classic Muffler Service.

Had my the mid pipes upgraded to 2.5" from 2.25" and resonator deleted and the exhaust became super loud and raspy. So I purchased some stainless resonators online and brought car back for install. I left in a hurry and did not double check fitment and when I got to work I found the exhaust tips to be not leveled and aligned properly. Called Andu the owner and told him about it, and was very friendly about fixing it. we agreed that I come back the next day but I found out from work that I will be too bust and wont make it. So I took the chance and drove back using my lunch break. Andy took my car in and fixed it with ease and quickly I was on my way back to work! Awesome friendly customer service and I would highly recommend his work any time.

Outstanding service. The owner is one of the best in the business. I would highly recommend him for catalytic replacement over any muffler shop in all of San Jose California. He is highly qualified and has a very compassionate heart which is unheard of in the muffler business.

Great service and great prices. Had the catalytic converter on hand. I thought it would be a full day at the shop, I was in and out within two hours, if that long. He cut the bad part out before the car was cooled off and welding the new one in place. After my cars catalytic converter was replace my car passed California smog check. If I ever need any exhaust work done in the future, I'll be coming back to this shop.Service: Exhaust

Needed the flex pipe replaced on my Camry. I tried Classic Muffler based on all the great reviews and I'm glad I did.He had the part and with only a 15 minute wait he got to work and had me back on the road quickly. Solid work and the price he quoted me up front was fair and what he charged me when he was done.I will be back for any muffler work in the future.

Andy the shop owner is an amazing guy who understands the frustration of the recent surge in catalytic converter thefts. He was able to install an aftermarket part quickly and efficiently after mine was stolen. He even went out of his way to walk me through the process and show me what was going to be done, updating me throughout. He is a one man show and truly works hard every day to make his customers happy.

This guy was amazing!!! He had best rate around, and he was honest. It s hard to find that nowadays in mechanics. He has one of the cleanest mechanic shops I have ever seen. Please if you need a catalytic converter or a muffler, go to this guy.

Owner Andy is awesome. I went in w/o appointment. He puts you at ease right away.Code showed Catalytic Converter issue.Replaced and in/out the shop less than 30 minutes with a very reasonable price tag.Very knowledgeable and experienced guy.All perfect. I would HGHLY recommend.Thank you Andy

Andy is the best. He is the most honest and friendly mechanic I have ever worked with. I called him based on the Google/Yelp reviews.He provided me with a time to bring my car in, for a catalytic converter replacement. I brought my car in at the agreed upon time and he had me out the door in less than 30 min.Price I paid could not be beat. The Toyota dealer was quoting me 10X of what I paid Andy (Yes you read it right 10X) and all other shops were charging me $100 -$300 more than what I paid.Quality is awesome. My check engine light is gone and I was able to pass smog with flying colours.Thank you Google/Yelp reviewers for finding me Andy. Your reviews were spot on. More importantly, thank you Andy for the best car service I have ever got.

Andy is awesome and super quick. Had everything he needed and great conversation as he did the job. I swear... He could do this in his sleep. It's almost like a show to watch him work. He is really actually having a good time. Great prices and he will beat most other competitors price.

This place is amazing. No doubt. Absolutely professional and very very kind towards customers. While he was doing my resonator delete for my MK6 GTI, we talked for a bit and honestly, very nice guy.He gives good advice towards his customers, a friend of mine wanted to delete his resonator for his Scion but ended up deleting the mufflers because the guy told him so. My friend ended up being more happy than usual.Also, very cheap price. Would absolutely go again if my resonator welded itself into place.

Usually fast and quality do not go together. In this case it does. Andy is fast and the quality of his work is awesome. He did a custom cat back exhaust on my WRX in less than an hour. All the welds were perfect no leaks anywhere. And the best part it was a 3rd of the price if I was to buy a bolt on kit.I would recommend him to anyone also I wouldn t hesitate too go back for future exhaust work.

Andy is the greatest! Always smiling and laughing. He really knows his stuff re: mufflers and cats. Best prices around, by far. And he's crazy fast while doing very high quality work. Can't say enough about how good he is! I wish I needed to use him more often!

I was looking into upgrading my OEM exhaust because it didn't have that sporty sound note that I was looking for. My local muffler shop who I've gone with in the past was asking for too much (x2) to have my aftermarket exhaust installed so I needed to look elsewhere. A few weeks prior to deciding to upgrade to an aftermarket exhaust, I was having the vehicle smog-checked. Luckily my smog test guy and friend for many years referred me to his friend Andy here at Classic Muffler Service Center. I gave Andy a call and he scheduled some time the following Saturday to have my aftermarket exhaust installed. I didn't have the convenience of driving a few miles away to my old shop, but the 20 minute drive down from my town to Andy's shop was well worth it.Andy charged me 1/2 of what my old muffler shop wanted and the results are outstanding. Not only was the new aftermarket exhaust installed perfectly but it was done in about 45 minutes. During the entire time, Andy and I bonded and had a great conversation while he was installing my new exhaust system. His shop is clean and well organized, but the entire business complex is filled with cars that are visiting other shops and/or ones that are in the queue to be worked on, so finding a parking spot can be a challenge.Now back to the install, another customer was there to fill-in the conversation and the entire experience was a blast! I mentioned to Andy that I had another person who was interested in buying my OEM exhaust and he was surprised that I didn't want to throw it away, so I asked him to cut the exhaust into 3 sections (some at the existing weld-points) and he did so per my request. Good thing I was able to resell that OEM exhaust the same day, and the guy I sold it to had Andy install it in his ride. So in return, I was able to bring Andy some more business.Not only was I super-happy with the installation, including the price I paid and also the friendly conversation I had with Andy and the other customer, I left with a big grin on my face once I got back onto the main road, hit the accelerator and finally let the exhaust rip. My car now has the sound I've been looking for thanks to Andy.Since Andy's shop is so popular, I might add that I did have to wait for about 1hr since another customer had already had an earlier time slot before mine. While I waited in my car, a few other customers came by for quick fixes and after Andy helped out one customer, he didn't take any payment, even after the customer insisted. Andy just said, "Next time, don't worry about it!". Andy is such a friendly guy, but he's also generous and understanding. He's more concerned about his customers and providing them solutions rather than just taking their money. I noticed that he does take-in everyone who visits his shop and that's probably the reason why he has so many great reviews.If you're waiting for your turn, have patience and don't feel like others cut in front of you, because Andy doesn't forget that you're next in line. I initially had that feeling while waiting for my turn, but I quickly realized that if Andy knows that if the customer needs a quick fix, he'll quickly help them out before sending them off on their merry way. No reason at all that I should knock-off a star for that. It's just the nature of his business. Ultimately everyone gets serviced, just need to be patient. Afterall, I did show-up there to his shop on a Saturday morning.Service: Exhaust

5 stars for this muffler shop. The service man greeted us quickly (as soon as he came out from under the car he was working on), got our car on the rack in just a few minutes, diagnosed the problem efficiently, showing us what the specific problem was, and got it fixed quicker than we could have imagined. Some shops con you into thinking you need to replace more than you really do. This shop is honest, does just what is needed, quickly and professionally. Best experience we could have hoped for!

This place is awesome! Took my Dodge Challenger Scat Pack in here to get the mufflers removed. The guy here is the nicest person ever. He did the job quick and his prices are great! He noticed that my exhaust was slightly bent out of shape and he fixed it free of charge. I'm definitely recommending this place and coming back!

Andy was great. Super accommodating, didn't up-sell, and the work was excellent. Then, he gets the guy across from him to smog my car for me. Awesome, awesome, awesome. I'll be back and send all my friends.
