Reception was polite and professional. Brought it in for a Lamp and Brake inspection for $165. Failed the test and the parts took longer than 30 days to get so it's at full price to get a retest vs. $80 quoted. Called to get clarification on the failure and the owner Mike answered the phone, very rude and condescending.They also broke the trunk latch on my car when test driving. Don't know why they opened the trunk but when they pulled out of their drive on Story the lid was open and slammed down and back up in front of me as they drove down Story eastbound.We can get it tested for $140 no appointment required. Hard pass on the mechanical and customer service. If you like to overpay and a raised voice (some people are into that), this is your place.I love the reviews who say don't believe the reviews.

I buy auction cars and always have my wife brings them in for a brake and lamp inspection but recently one failed due to inoperative side marker bulbs I m a mechanic myself but work from 9-5 and always make sure everything works before sending a car in. When I got off work I checked all bulbs they are operating just fine. I sent her in the next and I told her to not say anything and the car passes the next day. Definitely something shady going on in this shop if you don t know anything about cars you will definitely get scammed. Last time we go here.

Owner kept screaming at his employees. I heard a lot of loud concerning banging on my car for an hour. Got charged to do a test when the car failed visual inspection for the test. Why still run the test before telling me it failed visual??? Wanted ~3x the cost to do some work from what I was charged by a reputable business. Charged a large fixed amount for a sketchy 1 minute quick fix. Not a lot of options for brake and lamp inspection, but I would still avoid this place.

I recently posted a review on my more recent experience with capitol auto care. I owe a big apology and I would like to recend my last review that I feel may have had an impact on this business for the services rendered to myself and my family. The review I posted after careful reconsideration of how my situation was handled. I was given a thorough diagnosis, an in detail estimate and cost of repairs, I was given the option to go through with repairs that I did decline. I am satisfied with my service overall. Capitol auto care has always shown a level of professionalism that has surpassed any and all expectations that a customer would want from an auto care specialist. My family has been with capitol auto care for many years and has always been knowledgeable, reliable, and trustworthy business built on integrity. This review is three weeks overdue. My go to place for smogs and just got an oil change today. I called and they were able to fit me in same day. Mike is very honest and friendly. I have been coming here for years. Highly recommended!

Honest, skilled, reliable and friendly. What's not to like? Even after moving from Evergreen to Niles, we drive back to Story Road to have Mike and company do their fine work. Very professional staff. Great customer service. I decided to try Capitol Auto Care based off of their great reviews. I found Capitol Auto Care lived up to the high marks that past reviewers have left. Highly recommended by a very picky person.

I took my car for break and light inspection and they did pass my car for an stupid reason .I waste $145.the other place say they just wanted to charge me to return again and pay $80 more. Don't recommend at all.

I brought my car for smoke check, after that My car is not gas and does not move. When I spoke to their manager. He said that I had to pay again for the repair. Before the smoke check my car don't had problems and it worked fine.I think this place not good for service and price.

Went there for break and light inspection charge me $120 said that one out of two licence bulbs was out and that my wheel hub stud s and nuts was brocken which they were ok when I brought it in ,brought it back for reinspection with in a week after I fix everything and they charge me another $120 because they said 3 more lights were out didn't even move the car 2 miles before I brought it back for re-inspection, will NOT recommend this place at all.Services: Tires, Electrical, Engine repair, Brakes

I had to have a smog done on my car. I took it here and all worked out well. I get a feeling there's alot of trust and caring about the customers here. I highly recommend this shop.

After doing proper research and speaking to a couple of K&N representatives, they did send out the wrong CARB legal sticker and was off by a number. I appreciate the website that you provided for more info.

Did not be clear about there policy about the smog check, we paid twice for it which is really stupid and was not made clear that we would have to pay a second time
