I googled local shops for a safety mechanic's check of a car we were looking to buy.Ramiro was so helpful and gave us detailed information about his findings, even guiding us with his flashlight underneath the car.He ran the car for codes and walked us through his findings.I cant tell you how much I appreciated his honest feedback as we were purchasing a first car for our son.His expertise and professionalism is top tier.I highly recommend Ramiro for any auto mechanic needs.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Went back to Ramiro again for a crank position sensor issue and he was as wonderful as the first time! Brought a buddy along this time for some clutch issues and we started the process of investigating what has been causing him transmission issues.

Have you seen "Jiro dreams of Sushi"? The same way Jiro mastered his craft of sushi, Ramiro mastered his craft of cars. He takes serious pride in the work he does and it shows. When Ramiro works on your car, he will make it look effortless. That's how good he is. Plus, he will give you a fair price and tell you how to improve your cars long-term health. Definitely my top choice for mechanics. Plus he's really fun to talk with. I went it for a brake change and I left with a lot to ponder from our conversation.Service: Brakes

I had my 1974 Datsun 260z, and it was idling high and having terrible gas mileage. It was so loud and I am afraid to drive it so I took it to his shop.It took him 5 minutes to figure out the problem by listening and he just fixed it on the spot for me. He also charged me for half of what the other shop quoted me and they don't even guarantee the fix.Ramiro was also so chill and cool and we chatted in his shops for hour on end after the carbs fixed and it's such a blast. I also am no longer worried about my car having issues anymore since I know now, he is the person I can rely on. I would give him six stars if I can.

Ramiro is fantastic!! My car got broken into and someone attempted to steal it. They dismantled the steering column and smashed a window. I took the car to Ramiro and he managed to fix everything in three days. He worked wonders and at a great price! He gave so much personalized attention to my car and even drove an hour and a half to get a part that couldn't be found anywhere else. This is the best place to take your car for repair. He charges you the most fair price and gives you detailed information about what was wrong. He is very nice and provides excellent service. Honestly he is the best in the town. My car had the computer issues and he got a computer by himself and charged very good price for it. Man is the best.

Ramiro helped me right after I had my first accident and without doubt took my car. His honesty and visible passion made me trust my car. Fixed it in a couple day and was totally transparent about the work done.I hope is not needed but I'm definitely coming back

We contacted Ramiro about inspecting a used car that we were interested in buying. He fit us in the day that we called and I appreciated how thorough and honest he was with his inspection. He was also generous with his time, explaining everything and showing me the problems he saw with some of the car parts. At the end, he gave us multiple repair options and was sensitive to cost. This is the best experience I have ever had with a mechanic. Ramiro is excellent in every way. He is clearly incredibly knowledgeable on how cars work, and was able to diagnose my issue very quickly. He clearly laid out what my options were to fix the issue, the pros and cons of each, and what they would cost (which was also very reasonable). If you looking for a body shop takes your car and your safety seriously, and you can engage the entire repairing process, here is the one.Overall good experience. My car s parking break can t switch off and drove at most 20mph. I looked it up on Youtube and thought it was a simple switch problem. After Ramiro diagnosed, the alternator of my car was immersed with engine oil, because the negligence of my previous roadside assistance; also the break was wore off and dangerous to hit the road.Ramiro is the owner and only employee of this body shop. The total expense is more than I expected, since I didn t know my 2006 car had these red flags all the time. I really appreciate Ramiro s engineering skills and craftsmanship. He called me several time to update his progress and plan, taught me how to take care of my old car. It was New Year's Eve, and my car was giving out. I found this shop and Ramiro confirmed it was the alternator. He was able to get me a new one, remove and replace the old one in a matter of hours. He also checked and charged the battery to make sure there'd be no issue. Great shop and solid work. Thanks, Ramiro!

Very helpful and fast response auto repair shop. I want to get the hood of my car fixed, but luckily Romero checked the oil and told me it also needs oil. He is a friendly and straight to the point guy.

Ramiro helped me to quickly identify an oil leak in my car and also explained in detail which parts of the car were causing the problem. He was very helpful and the consultation came at a very fair price, it is clear that he does not try to rip off his customers- especially those who may not have a lot of car or mechanic knowledge, so I'm grateful that! Brought my car to Camarena's for the first time and on short notice, to diagnose a break issue. Ramiro was up front about costs and let me know what my options were before proceeding with the repair - in the end, the car was fixed before the end of the day.He was very transparent through the entire process, which I appreciated, and even showed us the parts that needed replacement afterwards!

Camarena's from the look of it is a privately owned shop. The man I dealt with was very polite and knowledgeable. Probably the owner.He stayed open a little extra to help me get my car towed in. And he was honest about the failure of the car instead of over charging.I suspect this is a good personal mechanic.

the owner Romero answered my call on a Saturday while he was at home and walked me through the problems it could be.Worked on my car immediately on Monday morning and got it to me by Tuesday. Ramiro is a guy who knows cars. But more importantly, he knows people. My car needed a timing belt change and a handful of other tweaks to get in good running order again. Understanding my position as a college student, Ramiro helped me understand my options when it came to repairs and parts and helped me make a smart decision given my finances and automotive needs. As he said himself, I want to help your wallet and help your car. I would recommend Camarena Auto Repair to anybody and everybody in search of quality work and an honest mechanic. I found Camarena s Auto Repair after googling for a mechanic. I called Ramiro to ask for help with some rodent guests that decided to nest in my car. He quickly figured out that they had nested near the cabin air filter compartment. He proceeded to diligently remove all the debris and replaced my air filter. I appreciated the time and attention to detail. I came in for his help as a mechanic but ended up having a great conversation with him as he worked in my car. I will not only come back whenever I need a mechanic, I ll refer my friends to him.

Romero's a good guy. He does good work and is always friendly. I've had my car worked on by him a few times. Yesterday he let me come in after he had closed to drop off my car. My wheel had been making horrible angry noises at me and he fixed it for only the diagnostics fee by the end of the next day. He stayed after hours again to let me pick it up after I got off work today and let me drive my car around to make sure the sound was gone before I paid. All the other work he's done has been great as well. If you want to minimize the time you spend going to a mechanic, go to Romero. He'll fix it the first time.

This review is very much long overdue! I had been having trouble with my car for a couple years, and needed to get my car in shape to pass a smog test by the end of January. I go to school nearby but I'm not from Santa Clara, so it was hard for me to feel like there would be a mechanic around who wouldn't take advantage of a girl in college who doesn't know too much about cars. I read the reviews for Camarena Auto Repair, and luckily it was walking distance from my apartment! After coming in, I was so pleased with the way Ramiro was so transparent about all the issues with my car, showing me exactly where the problems were, and so on. When my mom came to town to visit me, she also came to the shop because I had been raving about what a great job he did! I highly recommend his services to all my friends, because as women we definitely worry about getting ripped off. This is the only place I will be going for car issues as long as I'm living here, unless he personally recommends another place for an issue.

Ramiro is one of the best mechanics I know my dad knows him for over fifteen years afther me going through so many different shops my dad finally gave me he's number I spoke with him he's very professional so I took my old 1980 blazer he fix everything and got me back on the road my truck is running better than ever. He also work on my Lincoln and no surprise he got my baby running again. I definitely recommend this shop great place if you want to fix your car..

Fast, fair and affordable. I took my car in for the front brake pads, and they were much cheaper than when I d had the rear ones done a few months prior in a different place.
