My catalytic converter was stolen and these folks installed a new one for me. However, they installed it backwards. The gentleman tried to explain to me, it doesn t matter which direction it goes in, and that he knows better than the manufacturer, even though it clearly states airflow this direction only. Why would a manufacturer clearly stamp this direction only on it if it didn t matter? He said that he s been doing this his whole life and to trust him. If he s been doing this his whole life it makes me wonder how many other catalytic converters he s installed incorrectly. I was going to give them one star, however the welder did a good job on the welds and they promptly switched it back for me after me pointing out that it was installed backwards. Caveat emptor buyer beware!

They repaired my muffler after a weld on the resonator broke. They cut the broken section out then welded a new straight pipe. Sounds great! I also had them replace my spark plugs, 16 of them was not an easy task. Everything in total cost me 600.

Theres a reason their ratings are so high. Apparently the last person who worked on my car installed it wrong. The team at Babe s quickly identified the problem and fixed it, as opposed to charging me for a replacement. Left in under an hour without paying an arm and leg.

Great shop! Helped me with a full exhaust job got it done in no time got me on the lift and got right to work. Got it done in an hour with excellent welds. The guy who did my welds at this shop went to school for a year for welding and it shows great job. The guys are true professionals. I had my middle muffler and rear muffler replaced by them, also some minor fabrication work. I'll be revisiting in the future for my complete 3 inch cat-back muffler set up. Highly recommended for all exhaust work.

I had to get my car smog fed, but I had a check engine light; ODB2 diagnostics tool tells me it s due to one inefficient catalytic converter. I called Babes & Lightning mufflers and had an appointment the next morning. They called back in afternoon with quote on installing a new CA-approved cat converter. Price was reasonable, service and weld job were top notch. They also checked to make sure I didn t have any leaks elsewhere in the exhaust system. Overall, very satisfied and wouldn t hesitate to have them work on my car again.

Went in to get my exhaust fixed on my car. Got the run around. Guy didn't want to fix what i had. Tried to sell me on a whole new exhaust system. What a rip off. No one spoke english and service was poor. Not worth your time to get work done here.

I recently reached out to these guys to get a quote on how much it would be to get my mid mufflers deleted on my charger scatpack. They offered a fair price and even warranty their work/ welds. I came here on a saturday at 825am and they got to work right away and I was in and out in about 25 minutes. This place gets busy so I recommend to come right when they open. If I ever need more exhaust work done I will be coming back. Worth the drive from south city to san jose

Came in today to get my muffler and resonator installed. I had to purchase a resonator so they just picked one out and put it on, they didn t tell me anything about whether or not it ll work but I m assuming it will. They quoted me $300 to install the resonator which I had to purchase from here and mufflers to install that I already had from before. I tried to bring it down to 150 but they only said $280. You be the judge whether or not I m overpaying to get two mufflers and a resonator installed but I m just putting how much I paid on the review. I ll be back to edit my review if any issues arise.Service: Exhaust

Got an aftermarket cat-back exhaust installed. It was a bolt-on install. Had them remove the stock exhaust and put the new exhaust in. They cut the old one to three pieces like I wanted. Warning though. They charge really high. Based on the appearance of your car and they ask how much you bought the new exhaust for to gauge how much they should charge you. Giving them 3 stars because I wanted to get the job done that day and they were quickly available and got it done fast. 2 stars off because of the rip off price.Service: Exhaust

I came in for an exhaust tip adjustment and couldn't be more satisfied with the result. The labor cost is very reasonable too. These are honest, hardworking folks that we can rely on! :)

Took my 64 Impala in to put in new exhaust on. I ask them to put 2 1/4 inch pipes and they use 2 inch pipes. Why do they even ask what size exhaust pipe I wanted if they are not going to use what I requested and payed for. Not happy at all especially since they charged so much. Came in to get headers installed. Shop owner asked for $1200 on headers ONLY. Additional charges for adding the high flow cats. Literally every other shop gave me a quote of $700-800. Don't get scammed and know what you're paying for.

I would give zero stars IF I could. Worst customer service I have experienced. They were talking about me in Spanish thinking I didn t understand a word they said. They do the worst work. My exhaust fell off in the freeway, I went multiple times and they still couldn t fix it. They tried blaming me for the mistake THEY made and would get mad because I insisted for them to work on my car. AND they tried to over price me. Don t waste your time with these fools. Don t believe these reviews either, they make you review before you pay for a discount.

Fantastic shop. Had a catback exhaust kit installed, then came back for additional modifications a few times. Always great work and great service, and they have plenty of bays so you shouldn't have to wait long.

Some scumbag cut out and stole the catalytic converter from my Subaru at our work parking lot. Toyotas and Hondas have CAT shields available, but to-date Subaru's do not. Among their other services that Babe's Mufflers provides, they build custom catalytic converter anti-theft devices for any make or model of autos/trucks. It's not like I have a choice, I have to park my car in our work parking lot. I am very grateful that these guys built a custom CAT anti-theft device for me so that my car will be safe when I go to work.Service: Exhaust

I took my daughter's 2005 Acura TL to get her mufflers deleted, I asked for a quote via phone call, and in person they gave me a better quote, they got straight to the point, I decided to stick with my stock muffler tips, they finished the job in 20-30 minutes, and her car sounds so much better, just a little louder.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

The customer service is always the best there always there to help you with whatever you need in they always deliver the best service that you can get I've been there twice and they always went above and beyond to give me Exactly what I wanted they even showed me different ones to compare to the one That I want it I definitely recommend this place and will be back any time I need work done

Worst service ever. Broke several parts on the motor when I came in to fix an oil leak. Then didn't even say anything told me the water oump was broken when I had just changed it a few months ago. Put a hole in the motor for no reason and still got agressive when telling them

uncomfortable for 2 reasons.� 1- There is a person who does not speak English and they have to translate for him (which I do not see any problem with that), but what made me feel uncomfortable is that this same person shouts loud a very bad words in English and my little girl heard it. What I do not know if he spoke to me or his coworkers, will he know the meaning of those words? that's not very professional in a business. 2- As a recommendation for the manager or owner you should lower the volume of the music a little to be able to listen to our conversation, it was difficult for them to listen to me and I also did not listen to them well. I felt very uncomfortable and decided to only take they estimate.� I ran into Stevens Creek Muffler and they have a friendly workshop.

I went to several exhaust shops before I came across Babes. None of the other shops wanted to work on my custom Jaguar because it was "too complicated" and required custom fabrication. Babes did great work at a good price, on the same day, with no appointment! This is the place to go for exhaust in San Jose!
