The smog check was fast. I went on a Saturday around 11:15am and there was only one worker. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I think he should hire a front desk person cause after I got there more people started coming. And he had to do all the paperwork & answer the phone. I didn't have an appointment and he helped me after he was done with the other customer. Most customers didn't have an appointment. But I think it would help if you come on the weekend. But weekday's are probably better. I heard him tell someone on the phone that on Mon his schedule was pretty much open. I would highly recommend Amerismog.

Spur of the moment visit as I needed to get my smog check done on a Saturday. Dave answered my phone call, twice, and upon visiting provided the utmost excellent service, joked a bit and he made the experience and phenomenal visit. He went above and beyond to renew my plates and even provide further support with my questions about the process. Was a quick 20 minutes to get what I needed. Properly equipped store amid covid, gloves and masks were worn. Definitely going back for our vehicular needs.

I called and was told that drop-ins were welcomed. Sure enough, I was seen quickly as it was quiet and had a pleasant interaction with the experienced proprietor as he did the introductory paperwork.The facilities don't look flash, but the service was high quality. Post 2000s registered cars are $80. Free Coke / water in the fridge is a nice touch.

Didnt have appt and got lucky on a wednesday at lunchtime. Handed him my renewal form and a few minutes later he started inspections. Twenty minutes later i was done. First time getting smogged and I am glad it went smoothly. Its a little pricey but coupon on website.

I had a Sunday morning appointment (Oh, man.. how convenient is that?!) The guy who works there was very cool, the price is fair, and the service was over pretty quickly. I chatted with some guy in the waiting room, feeling like I made a new friend. Overall, a pretty positive experience.

Amerismog is now my go to for SMOG. I called made an appointment. I was greeted by Dave. He explained the price and process, offered me something to drink while I waited. The whole process was easy and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. The waiting area was clean, organized and he even has the 49ers game on the tv. I was nervous and intimidated about having to get my old car star smogged but I had an amazing experience. He treated me and my old car with class and respect and answered all my questions.

In and out in less than 30 minutes for a smog test. Highly recommend this neighborhood business. They also offer tags on the spot for an additional fee if you need them quickly.

The service here is excellent and the technician was very respectful. The place offers free sodas and a comfortable waiting room. The technician even asked if there was anything on television I would have liked to watch. Fast and convenient, the technician was done in less than 10 minutes. Worth coming here.

Knowledgeable staff makes for quick service. Highly recommended. For a small fee you can also settle your DMV registration and get a sticker on site instead of waiting for the DMV to get to it.

Fast, efficient drop in service.I brought our diesel SUV in for its periodic "I ain't rollin coal' verification (ahem, smog check), without an appointment. Even with the other customers being helped, I was in and out in 15 minutes.Pro's: Fast, clean, well lighted, customer focused (TV, free sodas, well maintained lobby, clean chairs, friendly staff...) and reasonably priced (plus a coupon on their web site) - not to mention easy to find right on Lincoln Ave.Con's: Closes at 5:30, can't come by after work on weekdays.We'll be back with my wife's Smart car next year....

Love this place. Dave, the owner, technician, office manager (yes, he does it ALL) was very pleasant to work with and was much quicker in completing my smog than the time he alotted that I'd have to wait! As well, when Dave realized that my DMV renewal was past due, but one day before I fell into the 2nd tier of late penalties, he forwardly reassured me that he'll have my smog done and submitted to the DMV in no time! And the best part, there was no line/no waiting even on a Saturday! I definitely recommend Amerismog!!!

I don't mind paying a little extra for fast & friendly service. Highly recommend this place. I got a smog check done here and was in and out in 20 mins. I did call ahead but I think walk ins are ok too.

It's fast, clean, and drinks are free. They have the nicest waiting room of any smog only station I have ever seen. However, they are significantly pricey compared to most places. However, they are one of the rare places open late on Sundays. For what I paid, the drinks better be free lol.

I just moved here from out of state and I'm not too familiar with registering a vehicle in California. So i went in to ask about the process for registering my truck and getting an emissions test. Dave was very helpful and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions.

In the past five years I have been to Amerismog five or six times for both Diesel and Petrol cars. Even did DMV registration here once, which was a huge time saver. I never experienced any issues or delays as scheduled or as a walk-in. Two smog techs I have dealt with, Dave and Doug are friendly but not too chatty... which is perfect. And after each smog they send me a $20 off coupon in the mail.Services: Smog certification, Registration renewal

Doug was extremely efficient and knowledgeable in smogging my truck that had aftermarket smog legal parts. After trying a few other smog stations and getting the run around Amerismog came through and helped me. Thanks Doug. I highly recommend this shop if you want competent honest service.

Tried to scam me, an absolute crook. Charged me the RV price for my SUV. They charged $109 for a smog test!!!Then said I had a light on and I wouldn't pass the test. Said I needed to go get repairs and to come back and he would retest. I went somewhere else and passed in 15 minutes.I went back - argued with the worker who scammed me, spoke with the owner on the phone, then only got a $30 refund.

Never thought I would give a smog place 5 stars. But here I am. Excellent, fast service. Very friendly. Gave me a discount for coming at a slow time (call ahead and agree on a price and time before heading over).

Well no one LIKES getting their car smogged but you have to every other year so it might as well be LESS painful, right?! Went today to do just that. Booked an appointment online for 1:30pm. Got there at 1:15 and I was out of there by 1:25!!! Start to driving away! Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Glad I don't have to do this every year but when I do, I know where I'm going!

Women don't like to go to dingy places. The place is one of the best. Never thought a smog station could have such an image and they are fast. In and out in minutes. Clean place with FREE Keurig coffee, bottled water, soda etc. with free Wi-Fi and TV while you wait.Will definitely recommend. Doug was courteous and fast.
