I ordered a brand-new tire online on a Thursday evening. I also made an appointment for Saturday morning to have the tire installed. When I arrived this morning for the installation, the tire I had ordered was shipped to a different store location. The store didn t have the tire I wanted in stock, so we chose a different tire instead of having to wait until Monday for the one I ordered. I don t necessarily agree with this tire swap since the one I purchased in-store is a different brand than what s currently on my car.As I sat and waited, I looked around the service area and it was very filthy. The floor has a bunch of dirt and debris all over. There is a mop bucket sitting empty in the filthy area. There are numerous cobwebs on the ceiling and on corners of windows where customers sit. There are a few tires on display that also have cobwebs and some spiders inside. The walls are filthy with cracks in the ceiling. Some of the service guys in the back could be heard cussing while they worked. The lights in the ceiling are burnt out with one dim light on. Lastly, I overheard the technicians were sick and some of them went home causing appointments to be rescheduled.I don t think I d necessarily return here as first impressions are everything. My service advisor Charles was very friendly and helpful, but the fact that the tire I ordered was shipped to a different store and I had to wait two hours in a waiting room that was gloomy and not very clean, just to have one tire installed has put me off from wanting to come back here.I will be sure to monitor how my tire performs and hope there are no issues. I'll report back if I find anything.

Jason the service manager was very kind and professional. He told me all my options and gave me a great deal on 4 new tires. There was no pressure he just explained in clear detail my best options. I recommend anyone who needs tires to see Jason at American Tire Company. Very happy with my purchase. Great price.

Summary: Don't go for flat tire repair if it is more than 5 years old. Its their policy (not sure if documented anywhere). Free flat tire repair is a bait here, not for goodwill.My experience: Even after reaching at right time of appointment , it took 20 minutes for someone to become available and ask what my appointment for? And first words after that was: "everyone is having flat tire repair today" They lost potential goodwill right there.Next:Where is car parked- next to right wall of this office.Can you bring to left side?- SureNext: Tire is 5 year old, we cannot repair.- What if it is only 17 thousand miles and in good shape?No, cannot repair- But my car got purchased only 4 year ago?Tire marking says 5 year old, so we cannot repairWe recommend getting tire replaced- Thanks, but no thanks. (In my mind: If nobody else repair flat tire more than 5 year old even for a fee, I would rather get tire replaced to some other place who behaves with customer in better way).

I've gone here to get a flat repaired, my car serviced, tires rotated etc, always an excellent job there. Today I went because I needed help with my license plate (the screw was stripped + stuck), I had no idea where to go and found myself here. Jason was more than kind and helped me.Jason had an infectious positive attitude and I really appreciate him going out of his way as this service isn't expected.Thank you!!

If you need brand new TiresOr other servicesStop by this Depot!I was notified by the Mechanics not once but, 3 different mechanics at this Depot about a Safety Hazard that the Body Shop failed to successfully repair/ replace.I simply thought that it was grease residueIt turns out, it wasn't andThe mechanics took their time to explain the issue and possible outcome and plan of action for repairsThank YouAmerican Tire Depot!**update!!!I returned just as we agreed. Changed my tires here before. No issue at all after 10k miles. Just came back for free tire rotation yesterday. Carlos is helpful and finish it in an hour.

I scheduled a same day appointment for a tire repair that had a slow leak. They found not 1 but 2 nails in that tire. They quickly repaired tire and handed me my keys. I was shocked when I was told no charge for that service. This was my first experience with American Tire Depot. I will definitely be back for my other automotive needs, especially when car ready for new tires.

My experience with this shop.1. I ordered Michelin Brand tires and schedule an appointment to have the tires replaced. I brought the car (Volvo) and left it to change the tires at the appointed time. During the process of replacing the tires, I also agreed to have the brake pads replaced as recommended by the technician. When I arrived in the evening to pick up my car, having paid the bill for $2.5K, looking at the tires, I was surprised that instead of Michelin, tires of a completely different brand were installed, costing several times less than what I paid. Why? Is it legal? Yes, the next day, they changed my tires again to the ones that i paid!2. And yes, the warranty on the tires is 60k miles, but 10 days lates, we caught a nail on the road and brought the car for repair under warranty, the service asked to leave the car, which they returned after 4-5 hours. If this is how a warranty works, then why is it needed? The repair takes 10-30 minutes, and the car sits in the parking lot for 4-5 hours. Why? not make sense use this warranty, because repair work is too long.3. And even after that, I brought my second car (Tesla) to them for repair of a flat tire, they said that the repair was not practical and the tire needed to be replaced. I paid a deposit of $700 for 1 tire and began to wait. The next day I decided to abandon the idea of replacing 1 tire and asked for my deposit to be returned. Imagine my surprise when I received a refusal to return the deposit. It is legal? I cant recommended use this service until theu change their attitude towards customers.

Top-tier service at American tire depot. I came here to originally to get tires for my Honda Accord and they gave me a very fair price. About four months later unfortunately one of my tires blew out on the freeway I came back and showed them the damage and they replaced the tire for free of charge since I purchased the extended warranty beforehand top tier service will definitely come here to buy tires again.

I'd give negative reviews if I could for the chain as well as this store. I got a flat tire on my BMW X3 on my way to Death Valley national Park and got a new tire from their Bakersfield where they gave me a wrong tire type. We only realized it after getting back in Bay area. This store was happy to give us the correct tire and take back the wrong one, and we paid just the difference. However even after being very clear about what tire we wanted, they have us a winter tire instead of an all season kind! I ended up waiting for 2 weeks and multiple visits to the store. Above all of this, they made scratchew on the rim, with no apology whatsoever!I wish they understand and honor the needs of their customers and save time and efforts for themselves and their customers.

My shop I originally go to is Hanford, CA but on my visit to San Jose my car hit the 200,000 mile mark on my car. I took in for a oil change. Jason and the crew were very helpful to look over my vehicle and since I take my car to American Tire Depot at home I already knew of the needed services recommendations and needed to have done. The guys did not dissapoint I am truly happy with their thorough inspection and taking care of me and now I have the confidence my car will not let me down. Great service from the San Carlos San Jose location. Thank you for your service.

I Purchased 4 tires from the San Jose location about two weeks ago. After putting about a 150 miles on the tires using surface streets I finally had the opportunity to use the freeway. when I reached approximately 67 MPH my car developed a severe vibration in the steering wheel. when I called the store I was told I would have to pay $100.00 to have my tires balanced since I did not choose the extended warranty. Keep mind I only 150 miles.... needless to say I will not be going back to your store. great prices,

Helpful but can't really rate it because I didn't have any work done to my car. I was in need of a tire fast and they couldn't get my tire size fast enough because I was in a time frame. But I'm sure they would have scored well

Oh wow I got into the shop at 8:30 was out by 9:15. The team was professional respectful did a great job fast. What else could you ask for? I definitely recommend this to anybody.

Made an appointment on a monday for 1 tire to be replaced. When arrived for said appointment they quoted me 2 hours to change my 1 tire.Plus side, one of the only places in the area open on Sunday! The person on the phone was nice and helped me find the information he needed on my tire.Just wouldn't come here if you want your car back the same day.

My wife s car had a small piece of metal in her tire, she took it to Stevens creek Toyota and they told her she needs to get a new tire and with balance and alignment, her bill would be around $442.00. I checked other tire places and they were closed (Sunday). The American tire depot was open and told her to take it there, she was told it s only a flat tire and it s repairable, they fixed the tire and didn t charge her anything. All I can say is that there are still honest people out there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I meet. God bless guys.

I DEFINITELY recommend this location. Customer service was friendly, going above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. The prices are extremely competitive. Plus, is like a one stop shop! It doesn't get much better than this!

They're always busy, but I can tell they definitely want to do a good job for customers.I borrowed a friend's car and got a slow leaking tire. This was the closest store that was open on a Sunday. Then when I got to the store they told me that there were wheel locks on (which I didn't even know).Although I couldn't find the key, and the tire wasn't repairable, they still helped me out. They overfilled the tire with air so it would last until I could get the lock off, and I came back here for the new tire because their price was much cheaper than the tire store I was originally going to go to.On top of that, when I got the new key Jason, the manager, had them quickly put the lock back on for free despite being really busy with other appointments.

Went there for a flat repair (screw in tire) and although the online system failed to make my appt correctly the gentleman at the service counter was kind and courteous. And that is exceptional when dealing with auto shops in my experience. The work was done quickly and in the time quoted.

This is an honest shop with very down to earth employees. They are always working and make sure you are aware of anything you need to know every step of the way. I loved the service enough from my first visit to come back again for another service. Thank you guys for being awesome!

Made an appointment for alignment check at 1 pm. They didn t look at the car till 5 then they tell me they don t have time to do alignment till the following day. To get me to come back they offered a discount, so I made an appointment for 9am. This is also with the promise that I would be in and out this time. When I came in the store the next morning they tell me they cannot look at my car for another hour and a half and will take at least 2 hours to align the car so I m looking at 1230 to 1 o clock. No one has anything to say other than they don t know what to tell me. All their technicians have called out for the past few weeks. Took my car around the corner to Ross tire. He was done in a litte over an hour. And was 40$ cheaper. Won t be going back to American tire depot

Went in for alignment check and tire on Dec 1. Two hours later, the gentleman at the desk was selling me hard on everything that's wrong with the car and needed fixing. Apparently my alignment was off, and needed fixing. I wasn't given a alignment check report, so I am to take his word for it. Also apparently my tread wear pattern shows I really need alignment as well as wheel balancing as well and proceeded to give me a quote for that. You must've done a piss poor job in the first place then, because I bought the new wheels bought and installed from your store. He said the tires were rotated; They couldn't possibly have been because I forgot to give them the key for the wheel locks. That evening, while driving on 101, my TPMS sensor came on, and oddly, when I had it checked, all my tires were low in air. Took it to America's Tire and they topped up the air, and asked me to come back if there's problems.If this is the way you're treating customers who actually bought things from you in a year, good job folks If I lose my brand new tires because you messed with them, I kid you not, I'm not going to be leaving this alone

Jason the store manager ordered me tires, that came in the next day. Which is amazing. Then it was as easy as dropping my car off in the morning and picking it up in the evening as promised. Good looking out Jason and Carlos. Much appreciated.

The service of this store is the worst. I called 1 day before to book my appointment at 8am for changing the tire of my car. I reached 10 minutes early, the shop opened at 8am and the guy at the front desk told me none of his mechanics were there and he didn t know when they would arrive. One mechanic arrived at 9 am and 3 people where ahead of me, I got my tire changed at 9:30 am. I had to wait 1 hour 30 minutes for a tire change even when I already had booked an appointment. They are completely unprofessional and rude.

I went there because of flat tire, but instead of patching, they tried to sell me a new tire.1. They said it would be okay to use a different spec & brand tire while using the other three.2. They attempted to sell a $100 tire on Amazon from $300.3. They refused to repair it for unreasonable reasons.4. When I said I wouldn't buy the tire, they responded with a displeased expression.

Really bad customer experience after having all my car tires changed here with an assurance of lifetime warranty on them.Went back in to check a flat tire today and their systems don t show a warranty on the tires and I m being advised to replace the low pressure tire at full cost within a year of buying new ones!!!I ve been a regular here, and I m super disappointed with this service. What is the whole point of paying so much and buying the tires with them if they don t cover replacement over the life of the tire or provide maintenance on them, and only replace them with brand new tires and defer the cost to their customers?!

Just came for a tire roatation...They always seem to be changing management. I tried to do a walk in at 1130, and said it wouldn't be ready until the end of the day. I made an appointment the next day for 130pm, was promised a 45 minute wait. I asked how long and the guy said 1 hour until they begin. I told him about my promised time, and then they started working on it, at about the 50 minute mark. They finished at 320, now I will be late to work. They damaged my rim. They also made my interior dirty, swiped and scratched my paint. Never coming here again.
