I stopped by The Garage for a brake light fix without an appointment. Kyle generously offered to help and quickly replaced the bulb. My experience was very smooth, highly recommended.

Once again the Garage gets a 5 star from me. My car was displaying all kinds of power failure notifications on the dash and ended up dying in a parking lot. After having it jumped and taken to The Garage they ran diagnostics on it it and it turned out to be just a battery problem. They also inspected it and gave me a clean bill of health which was reassuring as I m taking it out on a Seattle roadtrip. Thanks Garage.

The Garage was super helpful and efficient in fixing my car. They were willing to explain all the needs/estimates in detail and were receptive to my many questions. They fixed the car quickly and for a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

I picked the GARAGE because of its proximity to my home and I had an issue with my car having a burning smell coming from it and a possible leak. They found the leak and worked around my schedule to fix the problem!! Kyle helped me get my car back within a timely manner and I will definitely go back to them!!! Thank you guys!!!

The Garage SF is helpful and efficient in their work. Pointing out what needs to be repaired or monitored. Does not over sell you on the repairs. I would recommend The Garage.

I took my car into The Garage for an oil change and maintenance checkup for the first time based off a recommendation from a friend, and had an excellent experience.Made an appointment, brought my car in, got the maintenance done (promptly!). They found that my radiator was in bad shape and needed replacement, providing photos so I could see the problem. The damage was from flying debris on the road I had encountered previously, and The Garage handled 90% of the communication with my insurance and ultimately made the entire radiator replacement super easy, even accommodating a week vacation where I wasn't able to bring my car back in.Essentially, everything was seamless from start to finish, great experience. In my case I was working mostly with Howard, he was amazing.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had a couple of maintenance items needed for my Honda CR-V. Called a few places and The Garage was responsive and cheaper than the dealership. I dropped the car off in the morning and was able to review & approve the work on my phone. My car was ready later that day. I can't say enough about how capable and trustworthy Kyle Houston & team are at The Garage. I came in to replace a side view mirror. I gave them the wrong information over the phone about the replacement part--it's a powered mirror, not manual as I thought. My error caused quite an inconvenience to say the least. But they were able to correct my error without racking up hundreds of dollars in new replacement parts and labor costs. Thank you so much for your integrity and hard work. You guys have a customer for life!

I have been going to The Garage for at least ten years with my former car and now with my Honda Civic EX. Kyle Houston and his team are consummate professionals. Trustworthy, reliable, honest, thorough, accurate, fair in price, efficient, same day turn around, courteous, tactful and friendly at all times. They never disappoint and are excellent in their client relationship. I used to trust this place. I don't know if they were trying to lose my service but they did. Started going here 4-5 years ago because it was cheaper than the dealership, now literally everything I look up is about 40% over highest market estimates. I've spent a lot of money here but never had a problem with the pricing until recently. I have more qualms but we'll leave it at that. This is a sad day for my Subaru that I need to find another trustworthy shop for some much needed but more appropriately priced upkeep.As a side note, I noticed the reviews here seem to have reset and a lot of these 5* reviews mention home doors and garage service which should cause anyone to think twice about where those reviews came from considering that is not the service given at this location...

I brought in my 98 SN95 because I had a coolant leak and it looked pretty bad from the outside looking in, but Ray and Kyle at The Garage said no problem just bring it on by they ran a diagnostic and found the Bain of my problems and a solution. I ll definitely bring my Mustang back to them for any issue(s) in the future

Great and super friendly service. They're not my usual mechanics, but I had an issue that I suspected might've been my transmission and I was feeling anxious about driving the 30 miles to the shop I usually bring my car to, and The Garage SF happened to be just a few blocks from me.They were able to quickly diagnose the issue (turned out to be an issue with the oxygen sensor, not the transmission thankfully) and got it fixed quickly.Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

I have been a customer of The Garage for over 20 years, and I have always been a satisfied customer. They are always friendly, fair, on-time and knowledgeable. They, in fact blow away that image of the untrustworthy car mechanic by being up-front and honest. I ve recommended them more than once, and no one s been dissatisfied. I'm happy with the service at The Garage. Car maintenance is no cheap picnic and this certainly was true this time. But I needed the work and they did it efficiently, and in a friendly good manner. What was really nice is that after I got my car back it drove beautifully. Have you ever gotten your car back from a maintenance and it ran rougher than when you brought it in? No, not here, not today. I'll be back, thanks to The Garage.

I have been taking my vehicles to The Garage since 2013 and they have always done first-rate work! They are honest, transparent and competitive from a price perspective. There have been several instances where they've actually talked me out of or to delay service they deemed unnecessary. I've recommended The Garage to all of my friends and family. I am a customer for life!

Very pleasant experience. Fair inspection, no unnecessary repairs and maintenance additions to the service unless explicitly stated by customer. You can trust them to give a fair inspection report and the business even gave me an expected life left out of my wearing brake pads, tires etc and didn t insist of premature replacements. I found them to be very trustworthy, reliable and friendly.The only concern I have right now is that after my cabin filter service in my last visit, the glove box light wont turn off even after the car was shut down, and all other lights are off. Something might have shorted the glove box light switch, and I'm sure they will take care of this next week when they open for business. I will update the review after the resolution.

They have some kind os scheme with the warranty company. They are the preferred auto repair shop of this warranty company in SF but the maximum the warranty company covers is 115 usd/hour (and the garage price is over 200usd/hour). I don t know how they became the preferred company, the preferred company should have an hourly rate that the warranty can coverI give 2 stars because they did solve my issue, but it cost me some money

Really appreciated the work done on my VW CC at The Garage. Kyle and their team were incredibly communicative and helped me avoid an unnecessary charge the dealer wanted me to pay for on it.They were able to quickly get my repairs in place and provide an amazing amount of details within their emails about the work that was performed. Will definitely be going back for any future issues.

I have to send the whole team a big thank you. Everyone was beyond professional but more importantly, exceptionally communicative and refreshingly honest. My 2018 Volvo XC60 was up for regularly scheduled maintenance and after sourcing a handful of absurdly high quotes, I was lucky enough to come across The Garage. They understood my concerns of being surprised by an astronomical bill and talked me through every step of the way.They addressed the immediate necessary needs - oil change, tire rotation, etc. During their overall assessment, they uncovered an issue with my rear wiper and a full computer diagnostic was recommended. They reached out to get confirmation if I wanted to proceed and I approved. Upon an inconclusive testing result, they refused to charge me. We talked through what they would have to do to identify the problem in the future and they did not pressure me at all to pursue in the immediate.It's beyond refreshing and comforting to find a place that have the customers best interests at heart. You don't find very many places like that these days.Thanks team!

Needed a trailer hitch installed on my Honda CR-V. I was able to set up an appointment time through their website with no problem. I was aware that on my vehicle some amount of fascia would have to be altered for it to fit correctly. I made the appointment with this in mind. When I dropped off my vehicle I mentioned this to the staff and before they started the work, they reached out to me to doubly check that I was okay with it. I told them I was and the work commenced. When I went to go pick up my vehicle, I had an image of a horror slash job done to my vehicle. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that they had to barely cut anything and it was only visible if you crawl under the vehicle. The price of the job even came in under what they had quoted me by phone. I am very satisfied with the job they did.

Check engine light came on and I was able to schedule an appointment with The Garage within a few days. They are very professional and communicative and had sent me the diagnostics report in a timely manner (within a few hours of dropping my car off). Also had my brakes replaced since it was about that time anyways. Was able to drop my car off in the morning and pick it up the next day.
