Poor communication. Multiple times I ve gone there with an appointment, only to see cars come after me and leave before me. I tried to get an alignment done with an appointment, those usually take an hour or so, after two hours I ask, and they say they haven t started it yet. That would have been fine if they communicated through out the process, I could have gone home. Part of the problem is that they are still operating like it s COVID enforcement, they literally make you wait on the street out of sight from them. So you are easy to forget about. I have been coming here for 10 years, but the last couple of times have been horrible. And it s getting old waiting outside being forgotten about.

AAA tapped my starter and got me moving temporarily. Isaiah made sure I was able to keep moving today.Came back as he did the catalytic converter etchings for the community.

Most irresponsible mechanics ever! They manage to destroy my brand new factory sealed bearings from Toyota dealership, then had the audacity to say it was my fault for bringing in a faulty part, and charged me full price for labor. No discounts on additional replacement bearings. I drove away in my car that was in worse condition than going in.

As a longtime customer (over a decade), I ve witnessed changes in both customer service and work quality during my recent visits. Unfortunately, these changes have been for the worse. Consequently, I made the decision to switch to a different oil change and car repair shop. And, based on other recent reviews, I am not alone!

The service was good. They did what I asked for, but did not fix the original problem, only made it worse. They could have offered other solutions, not just the one that would profit them the most. Prices on their website are not accurate. There is also an extra charge for European cars, even for simple services that are the same as US cars, so beware. This extra charge is not listed anywhere on their site.

These guys are awesome. They helped me out with an oil change, tire rotation and windshield wiper replacement before a last minute road trip and I didn't even wait very long before my vehicle was serviced. They were professional, courteous and not pushy. The job they did was excellent. I highly recommend them.

This service center has good customer service, but they recommend work that is often unnecessary. Recently they recommended that I have my rack and pinion replaced among other repairs that totaled $3500. I took the car to my normal mechanic and he only said that some of those repairs were unnecessary. The job only cost me $1,000 with my normal mechanic. With my normal mechanic.

I have had many oil changes here, for years the service was fast, professional, & you could wait for your car in their small office that had chairs. You could also use their restroom If needed. NOW, you exit your car when arriving, and must immediately go into a small fenced off area nearthe sidewalk, and stay there outside until service is done. The restroom is off limits no matter how bad you need to go. Oil change cost has gone up quite a bit in the last year also, almost $100 for synthetic oil and filter change.Service: Oil change

This place is great! My tire went flat and that never turns out great, right? Wrong; I read reviews and heard about great service and great value, so I thought, why not? Great choice, in my opinion. I went in to get the tire plugged, which was a really good value, but realized when I was there that the sidewalls had gotten really worn when the tire was flat and they represented a pretty significant risk if I didn't replace the tire outright. Thinking I was going to pay an arm and a leg for a much-needed service, I asked what it would cost, and found out it was $100 out the door, give or take a few dollars. Not only that, they assessed, diagnosed, suggested treatment, performed excellent service, and had me on my way in less than 30 minutes. Having arrived at 4:30 (they close at 5p), I didn't really expect they'd be able to squeeze me in, but they went above and beyond the level of service I've come to expect from many automotive shops. They're a true gem in the city. Highly recommend.

I went because I was hearing noises in my car. They found out it was the transmission. Instead trying to get a sale out of me the urged me to go to manufacture and get it replaced under warranty (which I did with success) and they even waived the inspection fee which would have been over $100. So If you are looking for a place that you can trust you and will not scam you, this is your place! They worked in a very timely and efficient manner as well. Highly recommend!

I haven t had my car serviced here in a long time, but I had quick service before and thought I d save some money vs going into the car dealer. What a waste of time. When I first called they told me to come in and go over what I needed to do. I just needed a quick service done for a minor 5k service. I come in and show the receptionist the list of things to do. It s not hard. Tire rotation and just a few fluid checks. Told me it would take half hour and I scheduled an appointment. When I come in for the appointment, the same person says I only scheduled a tire rotation. Seriously, I showed you the list of things I needed done! Okay next she says it will take 1.5 hours. I m like, you told me half hour last time, I don t have 1.5 hours. So you re telling me it takes an hour to check my fluids??? I mean I could do it myself in 5 mins but I need it done on paper. So whatever, I left because I don t have time for this. Good luck when you come if they know what they re doing.

I had a low tire that wasn't retaining air, so I took it here and these guys pulled a nail out and got me fixed up in under 10 minutes. Came back later that day for an oil change, and they were super friendly and even gave me some recommendations on preventing rust from developing on the undercarriage of my new (old) truck.Great, quick, affordable service, thanks guys!

This place is professional. They take care of the problem effectively, especially any maintainence type of work. The cost is reasonable but relatively higher, considered it's in the city of San Francisco as compared to the Daly City.

I've been coming here a long time and I have a friend that works here, but I've got to say I just went to get serviced today and had the worst customer service experience possible.So I called in yesterday and scheduled an appointment for 10:30 am. I showed up at 10:21 am. They didnt even get my car though the entrance till around 11 and when I asked the employee how long it would take he said up to an hr and a half. I asked him to please be as fast as possible considering my appt was at 10:30 and they were behind. He said that my car would be the very next car on the rack for an oil change. I left then to walk to the store and when I came back there was a car that had came in after me and was put on before me. Then when I confronted both the woman who works the front and the employee who had said I would be next they continued to do nothing but get defensive with me instead of trying to solve my problem or even hear why I was frustrated. I then found out once I got my car back that they didnt reset my service light or give me a service sticker stating the miles when service was done. Honestly one of the worst lack luster customer service experiences I've ever had. they claimed that my car was done in an hour and I shouldn't be upset, but on top of everything my car didnt even get on the lift for the oil change until 11:30 and was off and done with the rack in 15 minutes. I also watched and the tires I had done were also done within 10 mins and all done basically starting at 11:20 and done by 11:45 but made me wait for an hour and gave me all this backtalk and disrespect as a customer even tho I called and made an appt the day before. Honestly if this place left oil changes as first come first serve maybe they wont have these issues anymore . Just horrible customer service and bad at following standard mechanic protocalls.Services: Tires, Oil change

I really like this service! I constantly use their services oil changes! Quickly and efficiently service a maximum of 15 minutes and they are very kind to its customers! I know the guys Stas and Ruslan they know Russian language which is very convenient for customer friendly to explain with car failures!

Service is great and fast.. All the negative comments are definitely coming from those New snobby non San Franciscans who are destroying are City with this stuck up entitled attitude. Please go back to mommy and daddys house and stop killing our city. Yeah the service is fast and great though!

I was recently back in the city and had to help my grandma with an oil change on her BMW sedan, I decided to check out sunset service since it was close by and I didn t want to pay the stealership, I was greeted by a guy named Eli who helped me out with the whole oil change, had it done within about an hour or so, and pleasantly great place, definitely recommend.Service: Oil change

Went here for an oil change and everyone working was really nice! It was only $39 and they took less time than they had predicted (30 minutes versus 45-60minutes) even though there were at least 5 people in front of me. They even topped off my coolant and let me know about the ware on my belt.My ONLY PROBLEM is that one of the mechanics was smoking a cigarette in the garage which seems dangerous. There are oils and gas fumes all stored in there. Also It smells disgusting when sitting on the bench outside the office.I would definitely return again, I hope that management corrects the cigarette issue, cuz dude, you get paid 10 minute breaks according to state law. Please take it, walk down the block, smoke THEN return to work.

Glad I Discovered This Local Establishment. Quick , Honest , Affordable and Can Handle Most Repairs Without Hassle. Does All Regular Maintenance Work and Will Install Special Order Dealership Parts Without Paying Dealership Labor Prices . Highly Recommended

Save time and headaches and go to the guys at Pennzoil a couple blocks north on 19th. Always issues with Sunset Service since sold, Pennzoil's not perfect but at least extremely friendly, always have parts in stock even for older models, will tell you about coupons available and never try to up sell to those they deem gullible. The last part is my biggest gripe, they tried to sell my mom a new CV joint when I just replaced it earlier that year!

Super fast oil change with no appointment, but make an appointment if you want to get your tires rotated or any other work done. The service is very good here as well, which I appreciate.
