Very transparent, my car had been in neglect and needed a lot of work done! They were able to quickly send a report including pictures and a break down of all the parts/labor required alongside their price before approving for work.They were able to finish quickly and I appreciated all the transparency.

I brought my car in for an emergency repair on a Sunday and needed my car ready by that night. They tried to be as accommodating as possible and added me on the schedule. The main technician stayed 4 hours past closing time to finish my car's repairs, which was much appreciated. I did get my car assessed after the fact with my regular service center and there were some issues with the repair in terms of reconnecting certain parts back properly that could have caused major issues, but I understand the time crunch the repairman was under.

We had to have our vehicle towed to Stress-Free Auto Car during the year-end holidays. The great staff were very responsive and provided an estimate to fix along with details. Highly recommend!

I gotta say, Stress-Free Auto Care lives up to its name and then some. Highly recommend these folks!Just swung by Stress-Free Auto Care over on 2941 Geary Blvd. in San Francisco, and it was my last stop before last week. Their website's a breeze to use booking online is a snap. Plus, they ditch the whole phone call thing during repairs and stick to texting, which, let's be real, is way more convenient for me.Rebecca, the wizard at the front desk, was a gem. She's a pro at keeping the convo smooth and adjusting my repair quote to fit exactly what I needed. They even covered a citation I found on my windshield while parked outside. Shows how reliable they are, right? Can't stress enough how much I recommend these guys. Count on me to swing by for their service again, no doubt about it.Wishing everyone happy holidays!

These guys are fantastic. I brought my car in for a check engine light on, and they did a great job of diagnosing the issue, but they also did a complimentary vehicle inspection report which gave a very comprehensive overview of my vehicle's health. I've never been to an auto care shop that did that before! They were also extremely timely with updates, sending both texts and emails to notify me of my car's status. But mostly what makes them great is the people. Everyone I spoke to was extremely helpful, friendly, seemed genuinely caring, and gave excellent service and advice. I will definitely be going to Stress-Free Auto Care for all my vehicle repair needs!

I had a great experiences getting my oil changed here. I called ahead to schedule the appointment and they were very accommodating and even offered me a ride back while my car was getting checked. I got text updates throughout the process of my car being maintained and got a detailed report with pictures showing the status of my tires/brake fluid/other car things.Overall would highly recommend!Services: Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

I had a fantastic experience at Emerald Auto. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and valued as a customer. They were thorough in their inspection, pointing out a couple of minor issues with my vehicle and offering suggestions for maintenance. The oil change itself was done efficiently, and they even washed my car before returning it to me. The attention to detail and customer service at Emerald Auto are unmatched. Very efficient service. Loved the text message updates of when my car was being worked on and when it was done. I needed some major repairs on my old Dodge Caravan for an oil leak. During their work they discovered the tie rods needed replacing as well. After the fix, the alignment was off, so I brought it back. They fixed the issue at no extra charge. The van is as good as new. Long time customer. Highly recommended. Rebecca and team are very knowledgeable and professional, and I would highly recommend. They identified my car s issue in a problem-solving manner and were communicative throughout the process. They provided detailed diagnostic results that highlighted what was urgent versus not, and did not push me to address the less urgent things on the spot. I used AAA towing to drop off my car and was initially stressed out about logistics/timing about whether I d make it to my appt time and how I d get home after drop-off, but Stress-Free was understanding and told me I actually didn t have to come in myself to check-in, and also could ve gotten me a ride-share home, which are nice-to-knows for next time.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

My 2010 Hyundai with 44K miles hadn t been serviced since long before the pandemic. All the terrific folks at Stress-Free Auto Care took great care of me and my car getting it in perfect condition.They thoroughly explained every repair that was needed, gave me an estimate, and did excellent work. They kindly took the time to answer my many questions.And I asked them for two recommendations. The first for the kind of tires that would be best for the kind of driving that I do and where would be the best place for me to go to get them. Edited 2024: Since changing ownership, this place has changed a lot, and is MUCH more expensive. Not much different pricing than going to the dealership.Pre 2023:I have been coming here for years and deeply trust in the owner, Jim, and his staff. They consistently find ways to only do the work that is absolutely necessary, and keep the cost of maintaining our car manageable. As an owner of a late 90s Toyota that will run almost forever, but does need upkeep, Jim s team get my needs and I greatly appreciate it - the Bay is expensive enough already.I ll also add that Jim is a very large hearted individual and once made a very large gesture of generosity when I was in need, which to him seemed like second nature. Top human in my book!High quality work, competent team, family feel, and great value. I highly recommend this auto repair shop!

Can t recommend them more! Took my car for a diagnostic, the entire process was very transparent, you can see the updates online with pictures. Very happy with my experience. I had been going to Emerald Auto for years and didn t know what to expect now that Emerald has morphed into Stress-Free Auto. It feels like the shop is in good hands with Rebecca and the other technicians. Our BMW app said that we needed brake fluid, but Stress Free checked and said not yet. We really appreciate this free service and Stress Free saved us a couple hundred dollars. in addition, they checked our front tire to see if it was out of alignment due to a recent accident, at no charge. We will definitely be returning to Stress Free when servicing comes due.Service: Brakes

Had a small issue with my car and gave these guys a call. They said I could come in right away and would take a look. After a quick diagnosis, they said they could take care of it on the spot and it would only take 10 mins. Now everything is good to go. Great attitude and very professional throughout the entire interaction. Would definitely go back to them if I have any issues in the future.

Great job, Emer uhh, Stress-Free Auto. Prices have gone up a bit, but so has clarity of service. I liked the breakdown of urgent vs non-urgent items from the inspection in particular. Service was completed the next day, as requested, at a reasonable price.
