I applied for parts at the Van Ness branch on October 26th.They said they would call me in a week.There was no contact even after more than a month.I have had many bad experiences with Toyota service and parts stores.I only own Toyota cars, but the service at the service center was the worst. Why is Toyota tarnishing the brand s reputation with the abusive behavior of its service center?

Great service, both fast and reliable. Such a convenient location right off Van Ness. Has a small waiting room, but also has many local attractions just a few blocks away that can help pass the time.

I thought coming to this location, I would have a better experience seeing as back in May 2023 I dropped my car off to be serviced on Geary Blvd. Upon receiving my car, I was informed my car was hit but the dealership has no idea who did it until they reviewed the cameras.Thisbis was prompt me to go to Van Ness location. When I saw the receptionist sleep in the waiting area, that should have been an indicator of what was to come. I purchased a pre package oil change package and upon reviewing my invoice when I left, it looks like I was charged for the oil change. I spoke with Moe who I felt was stand offish with me from the time I checked in. After about 7 calls and being routed around, he calls me back to explain to me the break down in a condescending manner. During the conversation he puts me in hold/mute which had me thinking the call was disconnected. Overall I still believe I was charged for the oil change in addition to other work I had done on my car. Customer service is clearly a thing if the past. Especially if you're a woman, these dealerships in my opinion try to overcharge you. Disappointed with the overall experience.Service: Oil change

I recently visited the Toyota repair shop for a brake issue that I was having. The team was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and efficient, and they took the time to explain the problem and how they were going to fix it. I was amazed to find out that the issue was caused by some rocks that had gotten stuck between the brake pads, and that it could be easily fixed at no cost to me. I was so impressed by their honesty and integrity, and I really appreciate the fact that they were able to save me money. The team at the shop went above and beyond to make sure my car was repaired to the highest standards, and I have complete confidence in their work. I will definitely be returning for all of my future automotive needs, and I will be sure to recommend the shop to my friends and family. Thank you to the entire team for their excellent service!

Have a breathalyzer installed in my vehicle. Specifically instructed the technicians not to try and start the vehicle. Technicians ignored the request and started the vehicle (a violation of the instrument) and then came and told me about it later. This will result in a violation on my record and likely additional court time and costs. Group didn't apologize for the incident and then just sat there and didn't even bother to walk me through the results of my service and just told me to go and pay at the front.The service itself was quick but the individuals working at the shop seem to not care about customer service whatsoever.

They do decent work, but their prices are on the verge of criminal. They charged me over $4,000 to fix an oil leak for my 2013 Toyota Prius and told me that is the standard price that it would cost anywhere.... well, they lied and I was taken to the cleaners.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Tldr; they lied about brake pads needing to be replaced and charged me for no reason. Do not trust this place take your business to a different place that doesn t try to scam youI was told I needed new brake pads as mine were less than 3mm this seemed off since they were 6mm at my last service. I confirmed with the rep and he said they needed to be replaced. It was about 450 dollars, I said okay but I would like my pads back after. I took them home and use some calipers to measure the back of the pad (the metal part the pad is attached to) and then the total with including the pad so I could calculate the pad thickness and it was 4.7mm at the thinnest, I took several measurements from all the pads. They straight up lied to my face about this and charged me for a service that didn t need to be done so they could line their pockets. I will be contact the better business bureau and filing evidence and a claim with them. In the pics you can see this pad is 6mm

I scheduled for regular maintenace before bringing my care. Staff were friendly and every thing done professionally. However, the waiting room was not design very welcoming. I think they should provide some more basic facilities like cafee, drinking water and a TV for customers who have to wait around 2 hours there. I have been in a couple of Toyota service centers in Idaho and Utah and the level of customer service were much better. For example, besides the facilities in waiting room, they also provide free car wash for customers.Overall, my experience with this center was good.

Convenient location and clean waiting area. Too bad some of the service reps who answer the phone make you feel that you are inconveniencing them by calling to set an appointment.

Updating this review to acknowledge that they did work with me to repair the car for free and reimburse me for the initial repair and my time. Doesn t fix the initial experience but still appreciated.I went in for 80,000 mile maintenance and an oil change on a Prius. First They didn t reconnect the air hose after inspecting the air filter and I had to go back in so they could fix it. During maintenance they took the brakes apart to inspect the rotors. After driving only 40 miles on I-80 my brake pad literally FELL OFF into the wheel. Avoid at all costs. I could have crashed. The car never had an issue until I took it in.

Always friendly, helpful and attentive. Usually finish work before the time they say they will deliver and flexible on when I pick up. I always manage to connect with someone when I call or they call back the same day. Waiting room is very comfortable with beverages, wifi, TV and clean bathroom. Sadly they are closed on weekends. We come here all the time. Highly recommended.

I came to them to change the oil in my car. In the end, they only diagnosed the car, but never changed the oil.

These crooks wanted >$200 just to diagnose an issue, in addition to charging a premium for any services they provide. Took it to an independent shop with more reasonable prices who was happy to spend 10 minutes diagnosing the issue for free. Don't see a point in ever coming back.

This was my first visit to the Van Ness location. Service was beyond expectations. The lower of two coupons was honored. I was also notified of two additional suggestions for repair. One was to replace a dirty cabin air filter which resides in an area behind the glove compartment and is inspected during minor services which I never knew. Since my glove compartment falls shut heavily rather than gradually, I mentioned the glove compartment hinge might have been broken during a previous service over the last few years when checking the cabin air filter. I was reassured that removal wouldn't have caused the breakage but because I had never been told that that was the way the cabin air filter was checked, I was not charged for the new filter. I thought this was a generous example of good will. Before I was about to drive off, I also asked for a new light bulb in the cabin to replace a dimming one. That was installed at no charge. There was a bit of difficulty removing the plastic in the roof to get to the bulb and was handled in a respectful, calm, personable manner. All the Toyota employees I dealt with were extremely patient, kind and helpful. This is a new location for the service center and is spacious and very clean and especially convenient to where I live in San Francisco. I will most definitely be returning for a major service next time.

In the past, I've often have my car serviced at a mechanic shop but I've been coming to SF of Toyota for years and they always provide great service. These guys are awesome. I have never had an issue with them and they're pretty quick in terms of turnaround time.

I brought my Ford F-150 in for a water pump a few months ago and Paul and Victor took great care of me. Victor called me daily to give me updates. They were honest and fair that s really all anyone can ask for. I went back for a AC issue, oil change and rear breaks. Same great service. Toyota and reliability go hand in hand but customer service is basically left in the hands of local dealerships and maintenance centers. Fortunately for for the bay area, the Van Ness Maintenance center exceptionally exceeds all marks on customer service and care.I was having issues with inconsistent but horrible sounding noise on my FR-S. Once I booked an appointment and dropped off my vehicle I was greeted by Moe S.Moe is a very patient, understanding, and cooperative person. I did not feel at all rushed and he listened to my concerns while also outlining any possibilities and steps that would be taken. Moe kept me up to date with the progress of my vehicle and his team showed genuine care regarding my safety and satisfaction. All my concerns were put to rest as Moe reassured me that any issues that would be discovered will be repaired. A few day later my FR-S was repaired and back with zero issues, Moe even had it detailed for me upon return.Furthermore, Moe assisted me with adding accessories to my FR-S. I did not at all feel as if I was wasting his time and he expressed interest and enthusiasm with my ideas in customizing my FR-S.I was blown away by the service, quality, and care displayed by Moe and the Van Ness maintenance center team and will gladly recommend family and friends in this direction for future maintenance and repairs.

I have used this dealership ever since I bought my Toyota Prius from them in 2002. The service has been consistently great. The one time I did have a problem they resolved it quickly and to my satisfaction. They are fast and the prices are reasonable. Plus they have the parts needed.The new location has a nice waiting room. Except that I hate day time TV it is very comfortable and has free coffee and tea.

Perfection!!! Moe, the Service Manager is incredible! He & all the men at SFT r spectacular!!!!!! They thrive on not only respect between themselves w Thank U Sir & Yes Sir, but they bring that respect to the customer. The work is Always impeccable & to perfection! They bring the car dwn fr the customer & All watch fr the reaction of the customer! Their heart & soul go into what they do & reaction is worth mega millions! The price is Always perfect & usually below most.SFT brings back the good old days of The Customer's Satissfaction & Respect comes first! I wouldn't take my car anywhere else!!!T.O.

The San Francisco Toyota Service Center on Van Ness is conveniently located, Clean, and the service is quick and friendly! I will continue to have my car serviced there as my experiences have always been good ones. Highly recommended for all SF Bay Area Toyota owners!

I went for a check up and told them my tire was leaking. My tire had anail in it so they suggested I change all four (seemed excessive).Looking at the bill they stilled charged me for rotating the tires and it took 3 weeks of my calling every two days (and them never calling me back) to be told I would get a $20 discount on my next check-up....That issue plus the fact that they took the entire day (8h00am -3h30pm) I've decided I wouldn't go back.

First visit. Went in on a Wednesday. Bing and Jack (forgot who my tech was). An estimate was provided before and matched after. They addressed all my concerns and everything was done in 4 hours.They've earned my trust and will be going back.

Outstanding. Previously, we had been having our Toyota serviced in Oakland, where it was purchased. Unable to get a timely appointment there, we brought it to SF Toyota on Van Ness. Courtesy, effeciency, and service was so superior at SF Toyota that we are never going to return to Oakland! Great job by Manager David Chu and his team
