We have been with Thomas and Harry (Prestige) for over 20 years because we trust them & their work. I am not a mechanic and both of them have always explained the car's ailment clearly and know that we just need safe cars for us and our kids to drive. Our kids went to school together and Thomas and I love our sunflower seeds! When asked about auto mechanics I always tell people about Prestige. I have had a recurring issue of my car engine dying when in stop/go traffic. It hasn't been that much of a problem. I have been using Prestige for general maintenance. During the last routine they said the problem was due to my starter ignition switch, it needed replaced. I agree. The first quote was over $400. It's not the right part, but I paid for the labor. I drive off and my steering column is smoking. I bring it back and they make a quick adjustment.I bring it in again for the new part and pay an additional over $300 for the part, labor.Not only does it not fix problem, my radio stopped working.Throughout this entire time I tell them the type of car is known to need a bsttery grounding cable replacement. The mechanic refuses, says no way is that the problem. I'm still out over $700 from work that didn't fix the problem and made it worse.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Harry and Thomas strike me as very honest mechanics.I went to Prestige Auto for a smog certificate because they are a Star station. Harry did a preliminary check and determined that my SUV would not pass if it was tested at that time because I had just replaced the air/fuel sensor. His advise was to drive it on the freeway for a while so that the on board computer can record some data. Total charge for his time and effort - $0. Thanks, Harry.Brought my vehicle back a couple of days later and Thomas took care of me right away. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Thanks, Thomas.

The Best in the Business: I have been a Prestige Auto customer for 25 years, and wouldn't dream of taking my car anywhere else for service. Thomas and Harry and their crew are the most (only?) honest guys in the business, and will never steer you wrong. Responsible, reliable, affordable, unpretentious, communicative, and experts in their field, Thomas and Harry will keep your vehicles in tip-top shape, which keeps you safe on the road. Prestige is perfectly named....auto shops do not come any better in San Francisco.

Tried to rip off a female by telling me I need to buy parts but then when I picked up my car Harry told me the parts of the car are looking almost new. They tried to keep my car for 2 weeks and when I asked to a discount they didn t want to give me one. Do not trust these mechanics, they try to scam females out of money like typical mechanics. HORRIBLE.

Looking for a good, honest mechanic? You can trust Harry and Thomas. They will tell you exactly what needs to be done to get you up and running. They will make suggestions, without trying to make unnecessary repairs. Just read the other reviews.

I had double trouble mechanical and body work, Harry was very accommodating and coordinated with Bryant Auto Body nearby to repair my cracked rear differential transfer case, and other much needed maintenance (a huge job). Considering the degree of difficulty and how costs can sky rocket, I found his pricing reasonable and the workmanship and knowledge to be superb!! Thank you Harry! Will return and highly recommend!!

Thomas and Harry are two of the nicest car guys I've ever met. They are dependable, professional and always provide good service. I know, because they have worked on my cars for almost 30 years.

Brought my car in for a smog check when they opened. Passed in 30 minutes. Been taling it there for years. I knew if it did not pass Harry and Thomas would figure out the problem land fix it. Both are very knowledgable and have lots of experience and are honest. Nice clean shop.
