My experiences with Pat's has created some fierce loyalty. I wouldn't go anywhere else. From the genuinely warm and welcoming atmosphere the moment you walk in, to their honest estimates and evaluations, and very reasonable prices, Pat's gets my completely unreserved recommendation. They've certainly kept my '01 Civic going strong!

Wise advice, excellent service. I have taken my cars to Pat since 1990. Trust him with my life. Friendly. Patient explainers. Rest room. Although the shop seems surrounded by industrial buildings, the lovely Dogpatch neighborhood is only a couple of blocks away, as is the Bay, including small parks & gardens playground, Museum of Craft and Design, Humphrey Slocombe ice cream, and Philz Coffee.

I love Pat's Garage because they are so reliable and honest. They always tell me if I can wait to do some thing, or whether it's something that should be done right away. They never make me worry that I am getting something done prematurely or paying too much for something. I feel respected and like my car (and me) are getting well taken care of!

I m so impressed with the quality of service and the quick turnaround.I dropped my car off in the morning and it was ready to pick up in a couple hours after full service and inspection. I got text alerts and could pay online. Easy and quick. Highly recommend!

I took my 2013 Lexus to Pat's back in late December, when everything is hectic and everyone is trying to make it home for the holidays. They were great! They got everything done in less than a day and got me back on the road. Great service and friendly, will definitely be going back for my next service.

We needed someone to work on our Hyundai as we ve struggled with the local dealerships too many times. These folks were great! Easy to make an appointment, easy access to their location, really nice staff and we didn t feel pressured to do any extra work or spend extra money. Will definitely be bringing our car here for anything it needs in the future!

Pat's bring it on all levels. Service, flexibility, information and most importantly ability. They got you on car care. I'm in love with my Hyundai Elantra GT and they gave me their best on the service, runs as good as it did when I first bought it. This is a great team.

I went early today with a newly found flat tire and a baby in my arms. At the reception desk, Diane was exceptionally kind and organised the review of my car within minutes. The person who fixed my car today - I could only see your black ponytail - thank you so much, you are an angel! Pat's garage have won me over with their honesty and quality service.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I needed my radiator replaced and saw great reviews so I took my car to Pats garage. I needed it fixed before a road trip to LA and that was a week and a half from the time I dropped off my car. They were busy but still offered to take in my car, which I appreciate. Their diagnostic report is really awesome. They provide a detailed electronic copy with pictures and lots of information which I ve never seen any other mechanic do. When I got my car back (in time), the horn was no longer working which I noticed on my road trip to LA. I was a bit frustrated because I m already a nervous driver and now I was stuck on a long road trip with a non functioning horn. I took my car back to Pats and they said the issue was that wire wasn t plugged in properly and because my car is older and had some rust the connection wasn t great (I assume the wire came loose when they were replacing the radiator). They still charged me $95 for diagnostics. I don t like conflict so I paid the fee. However, I am pretty frustrated because the way I see it, the horn was totally fine when I gave it to them, the car was returned with a non functional horn, and then they charged me to fix the problem that they created. For context, they usually charge ~$190 for diagnostics, so $95 was discounted because it was an easy fix. But in my opinion I shouldn t have been charged anything. The car should never have been returned to me in that state. Although I love the detailed service reports, I will not be returning because I think the way they dealt with the horn issue is very unprofessional.

The garage did the work anticipated in a a short amount of time in the morning while I waited in the office area (after setting this up beforehand over the phone) The office manger explained everything that was going to be done as well as the charges. Very competent and helpful staff. Been a customer for 20 years.

My car broke down on the freeway on a Sunday and I had it towed to Pat's because I knew they would be able to help and would have a parking spot for me. On Monday when I called them they got straight to work diagnosing the problem. As usual, they were very clear about what absolutely needed to get done for the car to function safely and what was a nice to have (My car is old and not worth a lot so it's good to have all my options given to me clearly!) I really trust them to tell it to me straight. The car was fixed in no time and everyone is so friendly. 2nd Gen Toyota Prius Multi-Functional Display Repair? Checked!Pat's Garage is an excellent, responsive, and knowledgeable team. It was the only shop among all the auto mechanics that I called who knew how to replace the MFD digitizer in a 2nd generation Prius. Deanna at the office was always responsive to my questions, and provided a quote for the work that was the true out-the-door cost. The technical team was also very efficient - I dropped off my car mid morning and got it back mid afternoon. Thank you!

As someone who hates dealing with auto service but specifically the 'getting a reasonable charge / not paying for more things than you need', I was really appreciative of how easy it was to interact with Pat's Garage!I came in to see about a flat tire and dropped off my car. The garage then assessed the situation and provided a clear cost breakdown with various add-on options through their website. I ultimately decided to not get it serviced here (because I was due for some larger changes and had a package deal elsewhere), BUT I was extremely appreciative of how no-fuss the office was about that. No guilt-tripping, no 'warnings' that basically scared you into taking their service.Will definitely consider them for future needs!

Extremely disappointed I really wanted to use the shop but the customer service was unprofessional and rude. They told me they will call me back with an estimate for the work I needed to do. After waiting for a few days there was no reply so I called back. They gaslighted me by saying there was a miscommunication and they don t do callbacks for estimates over the phone (even though they offered that again towards the end of the call??). They weren t able to provide estimates even for simple work such as wheel rebalancing, claiming they can only do that in person. Other shops in the past have always been able to give estimates for such standard jobs.

We entered the office and a gentleman came out to talk with us. We explained our needs in terms of prioritizing work for us, determining what we needed and didn't need. We got the best advice we could have asked for. There was no hard sell to do the work now or else!We have found our new garage and will enjoy the partnership of working on our Subaru cars together! BTW, Pat was the person who took all the info and devised the approach. Really appreciated his expert advice, ease and assistance.

This review pertains to my first visit to Pat s garage. They performed a 100k service on my subaru Outback. Everything went smooth from booking an appointment to checkout. Staff was great. My battery needed replacement and they handled the warranty directly with the manufacturer without my involvement. It made everything very easy!
