I had an issue with my car, called for roadside service and Nelson's was sent out to me. The tow truck driver left me and my child outside without next steps. he called dispatch, first tried to hand me his phone, then said she will call me. She then told me on the phone the issue was beyond them and I would have to call Geico for another tow. As I was on the phone the tow truck drove away. He had opened my car because it would not open with the key, but because there was no power I had to leave the doors unlocked and leave my car because when I call Geico back all the tows said they had no where to tow my car to. Me and my daughter were outside until about 8pm after waiting for the tow for 1 hour.... this afternoon I was able to get a friend to try to jump it and after leaving it on there for sometime my car started no problem. The tow truck driver tried to convince me that my key battery had died (it was just replaced) and that it was an electrical problem. NEVER WILL RECOMMEND NELSON'S TOW

So, here's the scene. There I was, stuck in San Rafael with a busted tire. Along comes Nelson's Towing, riding in like the proverbial cavalry with sirens blaring... well, in my head at least. And what happens next, you ask? Their very own truck catches a flat tire too, just two blocks away from where my car decided to take a road-nap. Life works in mysterious ways, eh?But wait, there's a plot twist! Nelson's takes it up a notch and hauls in one of their knights-in-shining-armor who's on his day off, no less! Come on, guy's probably just lounging in his boxers when he got the call-up! He guns it to the scene with a fresh ride, and saves the day.Then there's this lady on the phone, superhero of the call center, being as sweet as a bowl of candy. Honestly, these guys - heroes without capes swooping in to save my day!The one thing I was glad about? They didn't turn all parking ticket cobra on me, else I'd have had to put on my running shoes. No, siree - Straight up good people serving up good vibes in the business of roadside rescues.So, here's to you, Nelson s Towing. Although, in all honesty, I kinda wish our paths don't cross again. It's nothing personal - I just prefer my tires in tip-top condition, you feel me? But hey, I'm always game for a chat on Yelp! Stay awesome!

It s our wedding week and life has been unpredictable. We got a tow 8 min from our destination. We booked our tow truck through our Tesla Roadside Assistance for the first time. The the tow truck driver was prompt, speedy, friendly and very professional. He quickly changed out our flat for a loaner and all with a smile. I recommend Nelson s Towing and Cornelius if you can get him!!

I mean, they showed up, and showing up is half the battle. But the other part of the battle is communication. The first contact I had with Nelson's Towing was as a provider for AAA. The tow truck didn't arrive for 2 hours and when AAA checked the status, they said arriving. Fast forward 40 minutes, and the truck pulled up. I thought it was a fluke and used them a 2nd time, the dispatcher said the tow truck would arrive in 2 hours so I killed time. 2 hours and 40 minutes later, no show and I had to get to work so I just canceled.

Wow. One of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called my Chase Reserve to complete a booking for my car since it's not starting. The estimated time for this towing was for 8:00AM-8: 30 AM, however, the tower did not arrive until 9:30 AM which was fine. I calculated for that. When the tower arrived, he notifies me that there is a $75 minimum. Unaware of this, I told him that I can call the auto shop or my credit card and get back to him. Instead of allowing me to do this, this employee said "You know this is not worth my time, I'm just going to cancel" and hung up. Baffled, I tried to call Nelson's towing owner to inform him of my interaction. Instead of hearing me out, the owner continued to interrupt me, said he should never have picked up this order and also hung up on me. When I tried to call back, he said he was "driving" and couldn't talk. I understand that you're driving and don't want a ticket, but perhaps as an owner, you need to find a better way to communicate with your customers. The way this owner demonstrated his customer service skills is appalling and I am not shocked where his employee learn his communication skills from. This towing company is all about greed, money, and minimum. They don't care about the customers or care about helping someone who is in need. If I could give them no stars I would, if you have a choice, I would avoid this towing company at all cost!!

I had quite the situation with my car... it was a nightmare. But Marina quickly set up a tow with Mike and they were both amazing! Marina made sure she fully understood me, given I was out of the state (not ideal...), and mike kindly dropped it off exactly where I asked him to. Both were really friendly on the phone and I am extremely happy the situation is over with....Thank you guys!

After calling my roadside assistance I got the usual text with how long it would take for my tow to arrive (45 min ) but they actually showed up in (15 min) I was assisted by Herman whose truck was clean, cozy & smelling nice. I hope you don t have to use a tow but if your do & your in SF I recommend Nelson s Towing !

Got my 28 year old beater car stolen in Colma SamTrans. CHP had it towed very few miles after finding it in San Francisco within 72 hours. Great job CHP! Car in yard for only 12 hours. Charged $500 to recover. The thieves caused less damage financially than the towing company. Nice little business model.

They were running late so cancelled the tow after I had already been waiting an hour. Left me in the tenderloin (very bad neighborhood) with no help. Supervisor was unprofessional and on a serious power trip. What has happened to accountability and human kindness?

Just got blocked in by a driver for this company. After honking repeatedly, and calling the dispatch number on the truck, the driver finally came out. Not sure why he had to block cars in on the street when there is a parking lot where he was going. Also not sure why the driver decided to stop in the middle of the block with a car strapped to his tow bed. Glad it wasn't my car he was towing, and left abandoned on the street while he went into the store to get things. Plus the driver acted like it was no big deal that he blocked me in. Completely unprofessional company. I will never use them.

Walter the tow truck driver was prompt, speedy, friendly and very professional. He brought my car all the way to the dealership and did some tricky maneuvering to park it in the lot. I recommend Nelson s Towing and Walter if you can get him.

I've used Nelson's Tow little over a decade ago. Trustworthy and efficient. Nelson's Tow was DEPENDABLE then as they are now in 2022. Thanks Nelson's Tow for being a Towing Service I can depend on AND trust.

Roberto was brilliant. The flat bed truck was state of the art, turned up really fast (under an hour) and towed me over a long distance for a reasonable price and got me where I needed to be. Roberto done everything to protect my car - even checking inside my wheels for any obstruction due to brake damage before moving it. Thank You!

Worst service of any tow yard I've ever dealt with. After I finally paid $2700 to get my car out. I discovered that they had stolen 6 cell phones, my buck knife, and my iPad pro out of the luggage I had in the back seat. Shady business at this yard for sure...

They accepted a job for our motor company and never showed up or called to tell us that they couldn't do the job. It was such an inconvenience and quite hard to find someone to cover the jumpstart. The poor guy waited two hours before he called and had to wait for us to find someone else. I just wish they would've called us to cancel

Friendly, effective, and more affordable than their nearby competitors for an in town, non-emergency tow. I'd definitely call them first if I need another tow.

Left my wife stranded late night. Said they would arrive in 45 mins, delayed additinal 30 mins, and did not show up even after she waited for 2 hours. Middle finger to Nelson's Tow!

Horrible service, was waiting for almost 4 hours after being told it would take 2. Every time I called they just kept saying 20 minutes and the driver will be there. Had to call another tow company and they got here within a hour.

Worst experiance ever had took them 3 hours to show up and did not deliver my vehicle till the next day and they promised to deliver at 6 AM they didn t show up till 10:30 AM and when I got my car back my battery was completely dead they left the ignition on and also I had a blanket in the trunk and it looks like they used it to lay on the floor there was There was so many pieces of leaves and dirt on my clean blanket and I also called the dispatch asking when there gonna bring my car so I won t be waiting like a dumbass and they said they could take it back where they picked it up and I can pick it up there if I don t like it Literally could have not gone any worse!!

Marina, the dispatcher is the most unprofessional unpleasant person & should not be dealing with the public in any capacity!! She has no regard for the company that she represents.

The worst service ever... the driver didnt care that he was late over 4 hours Moreno Z is his name worst attitude and doesnt understand english if you dont want to work at a place then dont work there... i hope i could give this review ZERO star.....
