Went to Kent several times to do wheels change, tire change, maintenance and etc He is very knowledgeable and always giving me good advice on things that I m not sure with motorcycles. And he always finished the work very fast sometimes same day. Reasonable price and great service, Highly recommend this place!!

Googled reviews for a shop near Top of the Hill Daly City...read the reviews for Kent's shop , Moto Garage SF...didn't disappoint...I had a front tire on my Honda Shadow that was going flat...brought it in Saturday a.m....he called at noon and said it was ready...when I came in to pick up the bike he had done some minor adjustments because he noticed bike was running a little rich...I found in talking to Kent "HE KNOWS BIKES"...I think I've found My Bike Mechanic...THIS IS AN UPDATE...I have a 96 Honda 600 VLX & a 2009 Yamaha 650 V- Star...both bikes had issues and "DOCTOR" Kent took care of both bikes in a timely manner and at very reasonable pricing. Kent called me every step of the way in where he was at with each bike...both motorcycles run WAY BETTER than they ever have. I would recommend The DOCTOR to anyone who has a need for motorcycle repairs...give him the time and he will treat YOUR BIKE with the BEST EFFORT he can give...He's MY BIKE MECHANIC & I hope he becomes YOURS TOO !!! ***Took my Girl down to BUCKS restaurant in Woodside on the V-Star and she agreed it's running the best it ever has...Thanks "DR KENT"

Kent at Moto Garage was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Took my Ducati in for a new set of tires, and he spent a lot of time explaining and going over all the options with me and helping me pick out the perfect set. Very competitive rates, and simply 10/10 service. Will definitely be back for all future needs.

Called in to ask for pricing on patching a rear tire. Person who picked up the phone was very rude and disrespectful to me from the beginning. When I asked for more information he let out a huge sigh and told me that he "told me already" (probably misunderstanding my question, because they did not tell me already).Trying to figure out what services were provided for what cost was like pulling teeth. I would not trust this shop run by a person with no patience or respect to work on something as important as your motorcycle.

Great place for bike work. Kent installed dirt bikes tires and gave the chain a quick tighten for good measure. Great bloke Service: TiresService: Tires

Never shopped here. But after hearing a negative review here that they only charged 15 bucks to break a chain for someone, I certainly will now. Most shops have a 1 hour minimum. Great job to the shop

I asked Kent if he'd help me break my chain. I figured it'd cost at least $80 since the standard rate for a mechanic is around $160/hour. He only charged me $15. What a mensch! Thanks, Kent!

As a 10 year rider who s taken my bikes to a handful of shops, Moto Garage has become my go to neighborhood mechanic in San Francisco for Yamaha yzf-r6 for good reason. Kent is a friendly and great mechanic who does quality work. He is no non sense, communicative, straight forward, realistic and reliable. Not to mention fair priced. He won t try to sell you won t you don t need. I have been nothing but satisfied with the work Kent has done on my bike.

Needed help breaking a chain. This spot was close to my house and they said they wouldn t break the chain for me unless I paid $15. Really it would have taken two seconds. Not something you would charge someone for but here we are San Francisco isnt neighborly. Don t recommend getting service done here.

Kent is great! He tuned up my Buddy 125 scooter a few months ago and spent a lot of time explaining everything to me. My scooter was later stolen and recovered, and Kent took the time to talk to me over the phone about my options for painting and repairing it without charging me. I would definitely recommend his shop.

Kent has been my mechanic for 6 or 7 years.AWESOME GUY!!!!AWESOME MECHANIC!!!ALWAYS PROFESSIONAL!!!ALWAYS HONEST!!!I seriously don't think there's a better mechanic in the city. Excellent, thorough service. Kent is great and did a great job on my Kymco scooter. I will be using him for my service and my wife will be as well. His rates are reasonable and he called me twice to check about things he found that needed fixing..And it is not downtown and closer to where we live. I highly recommend Moto Garage!

Kent is a great mechanic and a nice guy. He's been patient and very knowledgeable in getting my old Honda CB500 back on the road. Allows you to order the parts and have them shipped to the shop, saving time and money. It's been a process, but I wouldn't want to work with anyone else. Top service, and value.

I wanted to take a moment to say Kent, from Moto Garage is the place to go for your motorcycle needs. I called Kent to get a quote and set an appointment for new tires on my 2013 Kawasaki Ninja ZX636. The same day I was able to drop off my bike at his shop and ended up getting a great deal for tire install, oil & break fluid change.Kent is very knowledgeable and provided me a lot of advice as well as different ways to save money with any future maintenance. He won't try to up-sell you or get you to fix things that you don't need.Lastly, Kent has done a few more thing to my bike that he did for FREE. 1. Adjusted my Clutch, 2. Adjusted my idle, 3. Checked my breaks,4. Replaced some missing bolts, & 5. Cleaned up my bike to make it nice and shiny.I will definitely bring my bike here again! Kent is an upfront, honest, and funny guy. You will not regret coming here!

These guys were great. I needed a wheel alignment/chain tension adjustment before a big ride to visit some family, but I only had a day to get the work done before heading out. They were the only shop in SF willing to schedule me for same day work, and did a great job. Definitely going back.

Kent worked through all the problems that I have experienced on my newly-brought 1975 Yamaha XS650. He is one great mechanic in the city, and very knowledgeable on vintage bikes. He also makes very useful suggestions on how to take care an old bike like mine. Moto garage is AWESOME!!!

Very competent, super professional, likely the best value for money in town.I had a transmission issue of my scooter: Kent investigated the causes, sent to me pictures of damaged gears, gave me a fair quotation for repair (much better articulated than others in town!), quickly completed the work after receiving my approval.Moreover Kent showed all damaged pieces he had swapped, also giving me explanation that makes me understand how unprofessional, incompetent, dishonest was the shop that repaired my scooter for a similar issue just 18 months ago.Big kudos to Kent.I shall call him for my next maintenance (and I do recommend to check him first if you need)

Not me but my fiance, she called and requested an estimate to have a tire fitted to a rim, which she will bring in. He took care of it right away, and sent her off. Even offered to carry it back to her car. All for a great rate! Thanks for the awesome customer service, we will be back for additional services.

Ken is amazing- I have my tires changed with him and he always runs other diagnostics and checks up on parts that might be getting old. He works quickly and economically, and my bike comes back to me in great shape.

They are SUPER RUDE.He explained to me that I should bring the bike in aNd he would let me know if they were "interested" they would work on the bike.He said "I'll take a look at your bike, if I'm interested I'll fix it... if not I wont"What kind of business is this??I wouldn't bring dog here.!!!!

He's shyed away from my old triumph, called me stupid when i told him i wanted a new suspension , telling me the bike isn't worth the work. i want performance upgrades on my classic cafe racer, exhaust, chains and sprockets to begin with, and then go from there. he looked at me like an idiot. hes a practical mechanic, don't expect anything fancy/cool or original.....I do however believe he is an honest mechanic and with plenty of experience.

So glad I found MotoGarage and Kent. He quickly hooked me up with a front tire install on my 2009 CBR 600rr. I am always on the look out for an honest mechanic and I'm sure I found it with Kent. I will be going there from now on. He is also a 5 min ride from my house.

I don t usually leave reviews but Kent was absolutely disrespectful to me when I called. I ve got a sr400 that I m working on as a passion project and when I called asking if he could help me with rebuilding the engine he told me I don t think you could afford it . Literal words out of his mouth. He didn t even have the respect to meet me first. He didn t ask anything about why I was doing it or my goals or even to hear me out. Just told me that I couldn t afford it. I don t care how fair he is or how much he knows about motorcycles that s just straight up disrespectful. Just to clarify, I told him that I was willing to pay whatever the price because it s my passion project & he told me to just take it to another shop. I noticed he had another review on google with someone who had a similar experience but he apologized profusely and said (direct quote) I realize that there is more value to a bike than just the market value, and I lost sight of that fact... I always hope to improve and your review helped me re-think the approach I take . It makes me sad to find that he hasn't changed at all.

I dropped off my FZ1 for an issue that another shop couldn't figure out. Moto Garage figured it out and fixed my bike sooner than expected. They were also great about responsiveness and keeping me updated along the way. Will definitely be back for any future work.

Very thorough looking at my motorcycle and updating me about what he recommended, letting me decide what I wanted to get done, and giving good estimates on price and the expected time it would take. I ll be back next time I need interval maintenance or a new tire.
