10/10 would recommend!!!! Got off work and my tire was flat, pulled up to JT s and they fixed my tire on the spot. I ll most def be coming back for all my car needs. They are on point!!!

I used to bring my car to the Quality auto repair shop on 19th and Kirkham, but they shut down. In search of another auto mechanic, I recently had some work done by these guys. I have to say I was impressed with the service and cost of the repairs. The staff was very helpful in helping me understand the issues with my car and performed the work very quickly. It was nice to know I can call ahead and make an appointment for my repairs if needed too. There were honest and did some extra inspections on the car at no charge to ensure it was running properly. Love this place. Reasonable pricing, local business. Always do a great and honest job. Have never worked on my car when not needed. I find myself begging them to "service" something and they continue to reassure me there's nothing wrong with the car, haha. My dad took all his cars here for major repairs when he still had Phil's Refrigeration & Appliances. Those were really good times. Feels like we are all being swallowed up by billionaires. Please support our local businesses, especially the blue collar ones. My dad would've wanted it that way. These guys deserve this review.

Very well run business, I go here for oil changes and other routine maintenance. Quotes provided before the work, helpful insights shared, and I feel honest assessments of when various maintenance needs to happen (brakes, etc). Thank you for being here and so available, I'm usually able to come in the same day I give them a ring. I usually hang out at Yonkers Cafe nearby while they're working, it's a great place to do some work and have a nice coffee or sandwich.Services: Brakes, Oil change

Love this place. They always do solid work, and I never feel like they're trying to overcharge me, Last time I was there they properly diagnosed one of my engine mounts was bad, after the fix the bad noise was gone and things felt less jarring when I went over potholes and speed bumps.

Running a small business in San Francisco is already an uphill battle. Running a neighborhood business is just asking for it. I've been avoiding maintaining my car for so long, I waited months after my brakes started screeching to buy pads online only to find out I couldn't do it myself. The brake pads were worn totally flat!!! I remember JT Auto Repair back when they were a 76 gas station. They must've repaired my nail punctured tires 4-5 times. I asked for an open appointment and they fixed my brakes the same day, rotated my tires, and removed another nail in a tire I forgot about. Efficiency only a small business can provide. My car still needs a few other things fixing, but this will keep it rolling around for every bit longer. Thanks, guys! We need these guys in the neighborhood!Service: Brakes

This shop is fantastic. I ve brought my car to them a few times since moving around the corner and they have been incredibly helpful. They have really quick turnarounds, friendly staff and good prices. It s hard to find a trustworthy shop that does honest work for a good price.. this is it!

Went to ask if my brakes pads needed a change. They said they only had between 2-3 millimeters left and needed immediate change, together with the rotors. They quoted 1500+ usd. I decided to do the job myself. Pads were actuallly not worn and rotors were fine too. Was it a bad call?Photo of the existing pad compared to a new one, there is a full centimeter left. Edited as a reply to the response from TJ:The quote was for the 4 pads and 4 rotors (front and back).You mentioned that back pads had 3 mm left, front had 2mm and both were due for a change. You said rotors would make noise if not changed together with pads.Reality was very different, none of the pads nor rotors were due for a change.In fairness I looked up again the quote it was 1379 usd not 1500+ usd.I spent time and money on this for nothing but this bad call so I ll keep the one star review sorry.

Made an appointment and was able to check in and leave my car there within 5 minutes of arriving.Great communication with me about the diagnosis. Accurate estimate. Kept the techs late to make sure they could finish the repairs same day as they had promised.Been driving on the car for a week now since they worked on it and it drives great. I'm so glad to have JTs in the neighbor.

I've had a few oil changes here before and they are quick and professional. I've taken my car to other places and am always up-charged or walk out paying more because some issue is found. These guys are great!

Just got an oil change, front headlight bulb replaced, re-wired the lights on my trailer, and greased the tire bearings on my trailer all in one day. These guys are amazing & very affordable. I highly recommend them!!! Very honest & trustworthy. Thanks for the help!

I contacted them though Yelp for a quote, and got a reply in less than an hour. three hours later I was there for my appointment. they got the car in quickly, and finished before I had finished my almond mocha from Andytown. They texted me when done and replied to the question I texted then about a smog check. They even adjusted my windshield wiper assembly after troubleshooting an issue with the blade not fully contacting the glass. Happy to give my business to this neighborhood business.

JT and his team took great care of my car. My transmission, clutch, suspension, and a few other things were overdue for replacements / repairs. It drives like new. Honest, customer oriented, knowledgeable mechanics, and goes the extra mile to ensure safety of the car and driver. Thank you.

Used a couple of times, fair, fast, reliable. Most recently had a tail light out, they fixed on the spot in 10 minutes. Time before alternator repair. Seems like they can do it all.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

My AC broke and this place diagnosed and offered for fix for $1,600 dollars. Called a other auto service in the mission to check on that price and they offered to fix it for $680. Make sure to check prices before going to this shop. Not sure if they were tying to take advantage but very off putting and not going back here

my jeep was leaking oil bad, these guys quickly diagnosed the issue (oil pressure sensor) and fixed it promptly. Jeep is running smooth and not leaking now.

JT's was awesome. Had to get my transmission fluid changed and it turned out my whole transmission was fried. They explained it all in detail, gave me good advice, and were never pushy or rude. Thanks y'all!

$340 spark plugs on an older Honda. Parts are $20 on Amazon. That means they are charging over $300/hour for labor and I find that offensive and disrespectful. Not to mention spark plugs are a 20-30 minute job.

Great auto shop. Excellent customer service. Very knowledgeable. Surprisingly affordable prices considering it's in San Francisco.
