German ("Herman") will go above and beyond for your automotive needs. He was able to help me out when I needed work done to my car and was very accommodating for my time. The shop is very clean and well kept, a clear sign that the team who work there are organized and take care of their tools, which ultimately is a reflection of how they will perform their service.I came here again recently to get some tires changed and was able to get it done quickly during my lunch break. Amazing!His prices are very competitive and cares about his customers. He took care of my Honda S2000 and I'll be coming back for more work in the future.

I have a Maserati granturismo sport, I took it to the Maserati dealer in Walnut Creek and was very expensive, But when I went to Embarcadero Automotive they really made my day, Ali the owner knows everything about Italian automotive and I am glad to have meat him my car is running beautifully and save it thousands of dollars, will recommend him 100%Carlo Salvatore

I had a flat tire so I took it to fix it and they found out that I have problems with other parts in my car that would've cost me a fortune to fix if I waited longer . They were extremely professional and efficient. Updated 2/8/24:Ali, Hassan and the crew at Embarcadero Automotive have been servicing and repairing my Mini Cooper S for several years and they do an excellent job. Great service, super professional, always happy to help and very reasonably priced. They ll fix anything - big or small, complex or routine including the first thing they helped me with: an unusual but critical multifunctioning ODB port that nobody else could fix. Ali also makes an awesome cappuccino while you wait. I highly recommend them. Next time you have an issue with you car, give them a call and ask them for their thoughts and a quote; I bet you ll be pleasantly surprised.------------Great service and at a reasonable cost. Mercedes Benz, 20 years old, sitting for years, would not pass SMOG, and kept stacking up with CEL ON Transmission Control Module Faulty etc... Bought it lien sale from tow company. I only drive European and I'm already aware of service costs and repairs but this one became a headache for me. Ali & Hassan offered to help by taking the headache away from me and systematically addressing the issues. A success! Was it expensive? Not for the work, repairs and accommodations I received. Much better than salvaging the car so they actually saved me a lot of money and now I still have a reliable car to drive and the dismal clouds over head disappeared. Trustworthy, technical, patient and a friendly shop environment!!! Thank you!

I m glad I went to Embarcadero Automotive repair before I read any reviews! They did a great work on my Cadillac. I went to a different shop and they said they couldn t do do job I have to go to the dealer (dealers cost away too much ) I called and there was Hassan he was friendly and professional and honest I m not sure all mechanics are , I told him the problems I was having and the work I needed done, so he called Ali the mechanic and the owner of the shop to confirm that they could do job since i had a lot work to be done the guy was super nice he even offered me a discount and fix my tier for no charge and the best part he washes my car.. After the repair my car my car feels super smooth. Ali, Hassan and Mauricio went way above and beyond to fit me in due to travel issues including staying open late on a Friday. They were very communicative through the process which is helpful. In the end, they gave me an extremely fair price for the repairs and labor so I would go back in a moment for any other car needs. They have a strong depth of knowledge for cars which I appreciate. Finally, they truly care about customers and making sure they run a great small business. The owner always makes sure your car is washed before being sent out and does it himself most times. This is what you hope for in a repair shop! Ali has been caring for my vehicles which of all been BMW for the past eight years. He has always done a fantastic job. Allie is very trustworthy and does excellent work. I have referred my family members and friends. I would recommend to any to come and give Ali a visit for any of your car troubles. Friendly, welcoming mechanics who quickly got to the heart of the problem (brake light switch preventing start). Hassan fixed that, and inspected my brakes to let me know what will be needed soon. He added a quart of oil and showed me how to read the dipstick properly. His partner also removed the paint transfer from a fender scrape, and washed the car before I left. The charges were within the estimate and reasonable. Great job!Service: Electrical

All of the coolant flowed out of my SAAB, which meant there was a leak somewhere. I had no choice but to bring my car in to find where this leak was & fix it.I've been going to Embarc. Auto for my SAAB repairs for about 4 yrs. now. They're very friendly, do very good repair work, but their prices are very high. I guess that's b/c they're SAAB specialists and it goes w/the territory. But I think that, since I'm low-income & a regular customer, it would be fair if they gave me a discount for being such a good customer.So, it was nice of them to take my car in right away, since it had no coolant flowing & had to be towed. It turned out to be a broken hose. The hose cost only $60, but the final cost for replacing it was $500+! I guess their rate for labor is rather high.

I highly recommend this shop. I had my BMW diagnosed at the dealer and the dealer and quoted me over $3500 to replace fuel injectors and spark plugs. Embarcadero automotive did all that plus an oil change and replaced an oxygen sensor for less than half the price. Car was ready the next day and they even delivered it to my house. This place took incredible care of me!! My car wouldn t start because the ignition switch went bad and I was stranded at Trader Joe s. I called Embarcadero Auto and the owner was very polite and professional and thoughtfully walked me through what would be needed to fix my car and the pricing- which was incredibly fair and reasonable. He stayed late to meet the tow truck driver with my car and sent pictures of my car when it arrived. He also sent me pictures of the work that was done on my car- cool and classy move. My car was ready the next day and I went to pick it up and they even WASHED it before I left!! I will use this business for literally anything I need done with my car from now on. These guys rock! Embarcadero Automotive are always fast, reliable, fair priced, knowledgeable, and they always do the repairs I need done correctly! Which in itself is fantastic!!If I ever have questions they are always more then happy to answer me and show me what they are doing and why. Ali did a fantastic job on my car. Every time I need something done on my car he alerts me and describes to me what needs to be done and why. My car always feels and runs like I just drove it off the lot. I brought my car here after trying 4 other auto places for tires. Embarcadero Automotive was the only place I felt like I was getting personal and professional assistance the mechanic that worked on my vehicle was extremely competent and took good care of my baby. I will only ever trust my SAAB 9-3 to Embarcadero Automotive because they know EVERYthing about SAABS! Absolute EXPERTS and so pleasant to deal with. They always treat me and every other customer like a VIP and even do a quick hand wash of your car upon departure. What exceptional service!!! Auto Analysis is the only place we will take our cars. German has kept excellent care of our cars since 2005. He does great work and his prices are very fair. If you need anything from a oil change to a new transmission German will get it done on time and with outstanding results. I highly recommend Auto Analysis for all of your cars service and repairs!

Brought the car for a checkup before a long trip to the Midwest and to my surprise the car needed a lot more work than anticipated. Thankfully, The guys here managed to get ready for me in no time. Very professional and great value compared to other places in the SF area. Great experience , all around.Took my van in last minute for a water pump, did the service and got it back by the end of the day. I have had no problem with the work they have done.I came back and they were washing my van !so refreshing to find a shop that cares about the costumer , and takes pride in their work.Felt great to support this shop , and would recommend them for sure.Service: Engine repair

Herman is very professional and competent. I feel like I'm getting an honest deal and quality work for the variety of issues my car has had (rattles, check-engine lights, and various smaller issues,) which is obviously important when looking for a mechanic. The shop is shared with Otto Werks (I think?) so it may be a bit confusing when you walk in.

German not only knows cars very well, but he really cares about his customers and it shows through his customer service and his attention to details. Plus, he's just a really nice guy. And so is his mom, Vilma. A family run business that I highly recommend.

Auto Analysts have been taking care of my cars since the 1990's. They are the reason I can drive a 21 year old car! They do good work but, more, they see your business as a relationship. They don't do unnecessary work, rather they help you plan maintenance into the future, because they want you to come back as happy customers. I know I'm gushing but, seriously, they're the best!

The team at Auto Analysts is just terrific. I've trusted the care of my Beemer there for years. They are practical in their recommendations and honest. They also have a good network of other service centers - for example for glass repair and body work that have all been great.

Herman is an auto mechanic whom you can trust! I now call him MY AUTO MECHANIC!I brought my 2004 Volvo wagon in for some serious work that 2 other mechanics could not figure out and actually made problems worse by misdiagnosing the problem.Herman figured it out and fixed it in record time! He also explained everything to me and offered options for ordering parts to save a little money.I had another issue and I called him while on the road and a really big potential problem was averted. Thanks, Herman!This shop is not inexpensive but in SF who is that's any good?The only issue I have is that it is not open for extended hours so that was a little awkward for me. And of course, my ex-BF used fixed everything for me for free!
