It was a quick service (~30-40) for a regular interior and exterior standard wash. They went over their detailing service and did look inside my car when I first arrived, but that is normal business to push more expensive services and I understand why they want to look inside first since someone can have lots of trash/crumbs everywhere which would make them work more. I could see some marks from the products they use, but I am not upset because I think that is normal. But if you are looking for a regular wash at a good price, this is a place to check out. Everyone was respectful. You can wait inside or you can walk around the Castro while you wait.

Came here on Saturday to get my car detailed and shampoo.Amazing car Wash service and stuff. They were very professional. The lady in the front desk was very helpful and friendly and she took her time to make sure my car was perfected and I was happy with it before I left. Car looks awesome inside / outsideI really recommend this place if you re looking for a great job!. Definitely I will be back.

Hand washing only. I prefer this as my car has ski racks. They do an excellent job and are pretty fast compared to the alternatives around SF and Daly City. Plus the staff is super chill but hard working.

I ve been going here for years and every time I go they seem to try to charge me more money. I was recently quoted over $300 for an exterior wash and interior vacuum because there was some dirt on the seats which would require additional effort. I decided to vacuum the inside myself which took about 5 minutes. I was upsold premium packages in the past and the car was never cleaner than when I paid the basic price, so this place has started to feel like a rip off. I understand they re in the heart of Castro and it s all hand washing so you re paying for the location. I just couldn t stomach paying over $300 for a car that wasn t even that dirty.

100% recommend. I came in skeptic and asking questions after reviewing this site online. They are aware of our concerns, they are also reprimanded by their service after all of your reviews. I get it, you want to demand exactly what you payed for. I was kind, gave them their space, and clearly communicated what I wanted. No one was stubborn and I was allowed to choose my car wash service (standard or detailed). They washed the exterior and interior of my car ($45 standard service) in under 30 minutes. I usually do extra detailing at home but they left it spotless. I promise you they will go above and beyond if you treat them nicely. Sorry for the few exceptions, it just wasn't your lucky day. Like you, they also make mistakes at work. You want superior service? pay for it elsewhere.

I came to wash the car and was offered a deep cleaning for $ 300, my car is less than a year old and I wash it once a month, asked to wash it inside and outside. As a result, they washed my car for $ 50+ tips and they made a lot of scratches, very deep. I do not recommend such an experience to anyone even 1 star is too much

Was excited to try this place based on the positive reviews. Called ahead to see if I would need an appt for an interior only clean and they told me to drop in no problem. When I arrived, they refused to offer this service and said they could only do a detailed cleaning for $150. Very disappointed with the false advertising of services on the website and/or selective willingness to offer them.

This place used to be great but now it s a big scam. I pulled up today and an unfriendly woman with long black hair who looked like the host asked to look at my car. After she took a quick look she said my car needed deep clean and wanted to charge me $400! My car is not the cleanest but also not that dirty at all! I replied saying I just want the regular service and it s ok if they don t clean everything. she insisted that she can only do the mid tier which is $140. I did not have the energy to argue further and told her no and left. Needless to say I will never be coming back due to her attitude and attempt to scam me

Drove 30 minutes to get my car washed here and they refused to vacuum the interior unless I paid $200+ for the deep clean service. They ve tried to upsell me before but never flat out refused to do the standard interior service they advertise. The people washing the car do a good job, but the attendant was unfriendly. We will not return.

This is a perfectly fine car wash. It is pretty obvious to me that a lot of their five-star reviews are fake, which makes me question the integrity of the people running the business.They did try to upsell me when I brought in a very old, dirty car to be cleaned, but I was able to get them to agree to the lowest price option, acknowledging that the car wouldn't turn out perfectly clean.After the wash, it was definitely a lot cleaner than when I arrived, but it did feel like they put kind of minimal effort into it, leaving some bird poop on the outside for example. Overall it was ok and I would probably use the cheap service again, but not sure I would trust them with a detail.

I was reading the review before I came and saw different opinions do I decide to bring my suv BMW x3 so I picked details packaged $300 they did amazing my car looks like brand new. Much respect for hard work.%100 recommended for details.

I was hesitant to purchase the full deal at $350.00, the clerk worked with me to find a better service and price. I'm really happy with the semi-detailing. They even looked over it with us and took the time to hit little spots we cought. Definitely going here again.

My car was a little bit dirty on the outside and they would not touch it unless I paid for the deep clean at $150+. Very silly to me because I would not be taking it to be washed if it was already spotless.

This place is one of the only hand wash car wash in San Francisco. I had 3 vehicles to get cleaned. They were a little pricey but it was worth it. They did an awesome job and got pretty busy. Over all the longest I waited was 1.5 hours.

Don't waste your time.by going here. Definitely try to upsell, refused to clean my car that was not that dirty , went someone else and they cleaned it no issue

It was a good experience. I did a deluxe package. They vacuumed the interior and all the pet hair is gone now(they didn't charge me extra for this whereas many places charge extra). My car now shines gorgeously. They cleaned inner glasses, seats, and wheels too. Very satisfied and will visit for the next car wash.

Got a car wash at Castro Car Wash based off of the great reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately, I can't say I had the same experience. TLDR: Rags used will scratch the interior of your car, beware of workers who are not professionals washing your car.Initial service was great - the friendly lady behind the counter provided a helpful overview for services provided and pricing breakdown, and I was informed the car would be ready in under an hour. However, both major and minor problems arose as soon as I was informed the car was ready.1. Upon initial inspection, the exterior wash was dried poorly - countless rag streaks decorated the windows, hood and doors.2. Bumper had not been properly cleaned (including dead bugs that were still clearly visible).3. (This is a big one) There appeared to be a car service worker under the influence working on my car - I'd initially noticed he was largely responsible for the dirty rag streaks and asked him to use a new rag / apply more cleaning solution. As he stood, he literally fell over on his side, dropping everything he held. I called for help out of concern for his health, and very quickly the counter lady and another professional ran over. Here's where things really go off the rails - the intoxicated worker proceeds to engage in a shouting match with the lady and professional who came to help as other employees restrain the intoxicated worker and place cash in his hands in attempts to de-escalate the situation. After 5-10 minutes of this, during of which I'm standing to the side in bewilderment (the language spoken was not familiar), the other workers finally get the intoxicated worker to leave. Not one word of apology or explanation was provided. I left soon after.4. As mentioned above, their rags unfortunately scratched most interior plastic surfaces in my car (see photos), including my central console & dashboard. It's a new car (2000 miles) so these were immediately noticeable.All in all, this was a very negative experience and I'm unsure if I'll return. I'm providing two stars in this review as they otherwise did a good job cleaning the interior of my car.Service: Auto interior vacuuming

I brought my brand new car there to get a basic interior and exterior wash and they tried to tell me because of the sand they were going to have to charge me for a detail. I should have just shook the sand out of the plastic mats before showing up. I left and went to a different place. Also when I pulled up no one bothered to get out of a chair or even acknowledge me.

Sorry for the length of this post but I hope someone see's it and finds it helpful so that they don't have to go through what I did. I have been going here for over two years now and normally I have an excellent experience, I've consistently recommended this place to friends and family. I always do the basic interior and exterior clean for $45. Today was a horrible experience. I had brought in one of my cars in earlier in the week and it was the usual $45. The nice guy behind the counter was very helpful and kind. Today however, I brought in my other car which was the same level of dirty that my other car was that I had cleaned earlier in the week. The lady behind the counter who I had never seen before insisted on charging me $150. I tried saying multiple times that I just wanted the $45 clean and that I didn't need it detailed. She kept saying my car was "too dirty" and that they couldn't do it for the usual $45. I shouldn't have agreed to it and just walked away but I ended up agreeing to it as I really needed to get the car cleaned. As I was waiting it just seemed sketchier and sketchier and I began to look up reviews to see if this had happened to anyone else and there were multiple other reviews saying this same lady had insisted it had to be $150. While I was waiting I saw the nice guy who had helped me earlier in the week and I asked him if he could refund me since the lady earlier had overcharged me. He wasn't able to because he hadn't seen what my car looked like when I arrived, which I understand. But the whole experience was really bad and it was such a scam. the car took the same amount of time it does when they charge $45. I thought it would be extra clean since she charged me $150 but there was still dirt in the trunk and on the sides of the interior. It was just a really bad experience and left me feeling cheated. It was also embarrassing to keep trying to explain what I normally get charged as she wasn't listening. All the other customers and I got to talking while I waited and they all thought it was ridiculous too. They had the man help them instead of the lady I had and he had only charged them $45. If you ever go here absolutely do not get your car washed if the lady is behind the counter. I have read a few reviews now that she consistently overcharges. Their own menu doesn't even have a $150 option. She literally just made the price up and I was dumb enough to fall for it. I am not sure if I will ever come back but if I do I definitely will turn around and go home if she is behind the counter.Edit: the owner responded below and continued with more lies. I just find this whole experience so bizarre and disrespectful.Why lie about it? I have never had to write a bad review but this is ridiculous. I was not offered several options nor a discount. I explicitly asked for the usual minimal interior and exterior clean that typically runs me $45. I asked for it repeatedly.I said over and over that I did not want a full detail. I was told by the woman that it had to be the $150 price. Yes I eventually agreed to it because she was so pushy about it but after thinking about it for fifteen minutes and going down the street to get a coffee, I came back because it just didn't seem right and I wanted to talk to someone about it. I was not gone for a hour. I was back in 15 minutes. I asked to talk to an owner and the woman who helped me before and they kept saying she would come back. She never came back. No owner appeared. So a man behind the counter took my name down with my phone number and said the manager would contact me, which is why I left when they said my car was ready. Not because I was satisfied. No one ever contacted me, and I was not happy with the service. I will definitely not be returning to get my car washed here and I suggest you do the same unless you want to be scammed.

Stay away!!!. Just came for a basic wash because it's 10mins away from my house and Tower Car wash is not a hand car wash anymore, so I decided to try this one. First, the lady at the front desk will try to convince you to choose a more expensive option no matter how many times you tell her I just want the basic option. I just wanted to test them out first to see what kind of job they do. And when my car was done. The top of my car was not even cleaned. Bird droppings was still on top of my car like If it was never washed and when I try to tell them, they acted like they don't understand. But. When I started speaking in spanish. They gave me attitude. Don't bother, just stay away. Too pricey and not worth the headache.

Expensive if there s even just a small amount of dog hair, though that was thoroughly removed. Rest of the car, meh. Upon pick up I had to show the workers some missed exterior spots which they promptly cleaned. Inside and outside windshield had streaks that I had to clean up myself after getting home. I won t come back.

Care about customer service. Good cleaning team.My husband and I have brought our cars here for years. Because of good clean at decent (not cheap but not crazy) price. And because I like to support local business.For the past year, the desk/greeting person has practiced strong "upselling", pushing us to buy their more expensive cleaning service ($150 vs standard $50). We politely decline each time. Recently, the desk/greeting person insisted on the upgrade. Not a pleasant experience.Fortunately, the owner of the business stepped in and made things right. And the cleaning crew was, as always, very diligent in their wash/vacuum.A local business worth supporting.Service: Auto interior vacuuming

I have used the service several times over the last year.Cleaning-wise it has always been a positive experience -- the car is well washed, the work is done expediently.My criticism is the shadiness of the service -- dirty and messy office with a pile of garbage in the back, price haggling every time, trying to upsell, not accepting credit cards and asking you to use an atm with $7 total fees, etc, etc.It is also sad that that's happening in the middle of the Castro -- the neighborhood deserves better.

Friendly staffs. The lady politely tried to upsell the higher priced wash but I politely refused and paid for their basic wash.Total wash time was 22 mins (yes, I timed it) while I was waiting comfortably in their waiting room. My car was next in line and so from the moment I got there until it s done was 25 mins.I had no problem whatsoever and I went home with a clean car inside and out. And btw my car wasn t that dirty in the first place and I remember them checking the interior before she presented me their wash menu .And based on other reviews, it looks like you can t get the basic wash $48 if your car is way too dirty and needs so much work.
