As the result of an auto accident CARSTAR was recommended to have the repairs done. I am more than happy to say that when I did pick up my Volvo Sedan it looked brand new one would never know that the back end of my car was totally caved in. They provided excellent customer service, feedback was excellent very friendly and people oriented. Lourdes and Anthony were perfect. I would highly recommend any body work to be done there or any work that needs to be done as a result of an accident.CARSTAR would be the first that I would recommend and if I need any body work done not as the result of an accident I would definitely be taking my car back

Did a good fast job on repairs. Anything extra will cost you however small. Major peeve is calling you mid morning to let you know car is ready in a couple of hours on a Friday and they expect you to drop everything and pick up your car. And they are closed on weekends. Other arrangements were made for pickup but rental car company was already alerted on finished job. Had to call insurance company to alert them that not enough time was given to retrieve vehicle and return rental so that I will not be charge for 2 days out of pocket.

Great service with a wonderful outcome. Easy to get an appointment that was not too far out. Very kind and respectful staff. Would highly recommend their service.

Very helpful as I dont know much about cars. Being a young woman going to a car shop can be annoying but I never felt taken advantage of, never felt like they were upselling me, and they explained everything in a way that was easy for me to understand. My dad has been in the car service business for over 20 years and agreed they did a great job!

Great service and communication with an excellent turn around time to help remedy a bad situation. Friendly people who are not just a business but part of the neighborhood, and you can tell from just being there for a little bit. These guys are serious about their work and you can tell they take pride in what they do. If I ever have another incident, which I hope I don t, I will come back here for the remedy.

This was the second time that I have used the service of the garage. Both times I found them to be excellent. They went out of the way to recommend that I get the sensor on the Tesla checked before starting any body work. I am glad that we did. They are very professional throughout the process. I live down the street and knew John very well before he sold the biz to CARSTAR. I was worried it wouldn t be as good quality or as friendly etc. I was wrong. CARSTAR was fantastic. They were super friendly and fast and helpful and reasonably priced. THANK YOU Carstar for you great and fast service. My car looks great. I m super thrilled. It s a front end collision and I was refer to this shop by my mechanic in the area of west ocean side of San Francisco which was very difficult to find. For both of those criteria I initially pick them to fix the front end of my Toyota.Every step of this process, they re professional and on time even though some parts were difficult to get. They are the best collusion repair shop. And, they re located in my neighborhood instead of downtown or way far on the other end of the city.Service: Body & Trim

Very efficient at seeing what was needed to repair broken mirror. Ordering parts and painting was done quickly. Communication with insurance went smoothly and I had my car back in a day.

CARSTAR was absolutely wonderful. The staff were friendly and patient. They explained the process to me and that includes the repair that would be done on my car as well as the insurance claim process. Brandon and Lourdes were so kind and directed me every step of the way, even help me call and arrange for a rental car. Their staff were great also, friendly and hardworking. We also chatted about our experience living in SF so my experience at CARSTAR was just wonderful and I am a happy customer. Not your typical auto body shop! It s a place where customers are treated like family. The repairs for my Subaru were complicated, requiring a tricky navigation through the insurance process, parts acquisition and dealership involvement. It took time, effort, patience and an incredible dedication to the ethic for getting it right. And even more impressive; A clip securing my front bumper broke after i apparently drove over a high snow bank. Although this problem happened a month after my initial repairs were done, and had nothing to do with the previous accident- the good people of Carstar fixed the damage and refused to accept any payments! I had someone hit my car and dent my driver side door and wheel panel. I brought my car to Carstar where Lourdes and Victor where extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. They had my car done in just 4 days after dropping it off. They also gave it back to me cleaner then I gave it to them! Thanks for the detail!! Very pleased with this place and hopefully I don't have to come back but if I do I'm coming to Carstar.

My 2000 Honda Civic was rear-ended in 2018, and CARSTAR did a fantastic job of repairing the back and also served as an advocate for me with the insurance company to show it was salvageable rather than declaring it a total loss. Later, this year (2022), the trunk started having some problems with water leaking into it when going through a car wash. I brought it back to CARSTAR to see if they could figure out how the water was getting in, and they did a very detailed series of tests (including the amusing sight of one fellow being inside the closed trunk while someone else stood there watering the back of the car as if it were a vegetable garden), figured it out, replaced the gasket, and did body work to close the gaps... and didn't charge me a cent for the repair. I told them at least I should pay for the new gasket; they said no, that's ok, we like to take care of our customers. Very impressive!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Easy to do business with. The staff is very professional and informative. Received updates as to when car was ready. Body work and painting is excellent. Cant recommend them enough. I ve been here twice- once they kindly checked out my car after a small accident and checked it out for free and gave some advice (it was at the end of its life, I kept driving with the big dent). The second time I came in when my window mechanism stopped working, and they fixed it quickly and efficiently, explained everything clearly, and only charged the $180 initial fee since a piece just had to be realigned and glued back in place. Thank you, Sunset Auto! I ll definitely be back for any repairs.

I found Sunset Auto via my insurance company after being hit while driving. They were great! Very communicative about the insurance process and throughout the repair. Bonus points for washing my car and cleaning the interior too! A very pleasant surprise as I feel like body shops always used to wash your car (even after just an oil change) and no one seems to anymore. It was above and beyond and looks better than it has in a long while.Service: Body & Trim

My car needed extensive body work after an accident, including getting sensors replaced. I was mostly worried about the sensors not fully operations the same. Needless to say, when I picked up my car it looked brand new, and it drove amazingly well. Aside from being happy about my car, the people who work there are so nice, explain everything, and are very thorough. I called and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Getting your car damaged and having to deal with the insurance company s and auto body shop can be intimidating but Both Victor and Luli took care of me and guided me through the whole process. I was super happy with the service and how quick I got my car back!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND SUNSET AUTO!
