Wow. I cannot say enough good things about Bob's Auto Service. Jason (owner) and his son Jonathan took incredible care of me. Jonathan corresponded with me while Jason and the team worked on my car, I really appreciated the kind communication.As a young woman, automotive services can be tricky for fear of being scammed, etc. But I never felt that way here. In fact, their pricing is REALLY good, plus you won't find service like this anywhere else. Family-owned and operated is a huge plus.I went in for an oil / filter change and left as a long-term customer - thank you!

If you need a good price on a car repair (I needed brake pads), this is the place to go! The lot was crowded when I went but if I called and they were able to repark my car for me and took over from there.I did have to wait a bit since there were cars ahead of me, luckily it s in North Beach and there s plenty of restaurants, cafes and parks to take up my time.Highly recommend!

Great shop. Super fast, friendly service. Other repair shop 3 hours for patch. Here ten minutes and you are out. I was helped by JASON, the whole crew is amazing

I recently moved to San Francisco and I am so happy I found Bob s Auto Service! I came in as a walk in just 45 min before close and fully expected to be asked to come in another time, but they were able to take in my car after just a 15 min wait! The oil change itself was very fast and you can easily enjoy a cup of coffee next door as you wait. I will definitely be coming back and I would recommend Bob s to a friend.

I came to this auto shop to have some new headlights installed on my car. The mechanic, Jason, was super helpful. He gave me a reasonable price for the work that needed to be done. He saw how dirty the exterior of my car was and gave me a free wash with it! Not only that, Jason stayed after hours to help me with all this. Very nice guy.

Called an hour before closing and they said they could look at my car right away. They removed my spare, replaced my punctured tire, and filled up the rest with air in under an hour. Super fast and pleasant!

We had a yellow hazard light on in our 2012 Subaru Outback and it hadn t been checked up on in almost a year, so I decided to try Bob s! We were able to schedule an appointment via calendly, which was very convenient. Initially we got a quote for $100 for an oil change and adding air to the tires (including the checkup), but then we got a second call explaining all 4 tires are cracked and needed to be replaced. The tires have only been replaced once before, so this seemed reasonable, and the new quote was $870 including the tires, installation, oil change, air, and checkup. We got our car back the day of on Wednesday (the day of the oil change and air, which did get the hazard light off); I was supposed to come back in Friday for the tires, but forgot (and received one call from Bob s to remind me), but was able to come in Saturday instead! We dropped the car off at 2pm and picked it back up with the new tires at 6pm (with very friendly text communication throughout). While I am not a car expert to comment on the pricing or quality of car repairs, it all has felt fair, and I am sold on the service and convenience. The pick up and drop off experiences were also very easy and quick! Thank you Bob s!

My car was not running properly and then stopped running on my commute home from work. I had my car towed to Bob s Auto Service since they had done a great job of replacing the brakes on my car last year. They diagnosed the issue quickly, and they kindly let me store my non-functional car with them while the new transmission was being shipped. My car is now in great shape, and they were also able to replace my cracked windshield. I highly recommend Bob s Auto Service to anyone in San Francisco looking for high-quality and reasonably-priced work on their vehicle!Services: Transmission replacement, Auto glass replacement

Great service and availability - we walked in and they fixed my car issue in less than 20 minutes. The bottom front of my car had a few loose parts that were impacting and hitting the tire whenever I turned. They knew exactly what was wrong, and fixed it up for us right away. After reading the great reviews I decided to call Bob's auto to get a quote for my 2012 fiat transmission which the dealership was going to charge me an arm and a leg for a new transmission. I contact Bob's auto and I can't say enough about these guys Jonathan and his team got back to me with a very reasonable price for my transmission for half the cost of the dealership. The parts were backed order for a month thru the dealership and Jonathan was able to get the parts and my car in for repair in no time. Jonathan does an excellent job with his customers service and follow up with you about what going on with your vehicle and will do whatever it takes to help you out. We suspected our tire had a hole in it and came here, no wait, both mechanics checked the tire thoroughly. Twice over. The attention to detail from both people to check various parts of the tire over and over was nice. Nothing was found wrong with the tire and after 30 minutes of their time, we offered to pay for their services, they told us not to worry about it. This was a clear sign this business is community driven. Reminded me of autoshops back east. Definitely will go there again.Service: Tires

Bob is amazing guy and he has very perfect knowledge about any brand car also his place price are amazingly resonable. If you re bring your car here you won t get disappoint and they will take care of you %100. I ve been coming his place over years and I never get disappoint

The starter on my car died today and by some miracle it started up one more time so I was able to drive it to Bob's. The dad and son duo were amazing to work with, diagnosing the problem almost immediately once my car died again in their parking lot. The dad was able to get it fixed along with replacing my front brakes, which he saw were down to 20%, all in 2 hrs! Earlier than the original estimated pickup of 3.5 which still would've been incredible considering it was a Sat afternoon. Great communication via text too with his son. While not thrilled this happened to begin with, super grateful I was able to get my car back in a super timely manner and in working order. Very reasonable prices too! Would gladly go back for future maintenance or repairs.Services: Engine repair, Brakes

A good friend of mines have recommended me to Bobs after I had an engine failure on my Nissan Rogue. The mechanics are knowledgeable, friendly and gave me good advise. At the end, he advised us not to replace the engine because the car isn t even worth its value and the mileage on the car is already super high. Surely enough I spoke with my spouse and she agreed the same. Knowledgeable, friendly & honest mechanics. What more can you ask for? My wife s car is due for an oil change and 30k service. I will definitely be returning back and using their services. Great people, great mechanics and super honest!!!

These guys were great, I brought my car in for a water pump, ac charge and oil change and was recommended drive belt, and transmission fluid change. It was $890 which I thought was reasonable for all of that, and compared to other shops in the city I've been to.They were really friendly and kept me updated throughout the day, which made it an easy experience.I have an older car (2007) and I definitely have to bring it in more than I'd like to, I'm bringing it here from new on!

Jonathan and his father are top notch. I can't recommend them enough. If you need anything at all please give them a call or stop by and I assure you they will exceed your expectations. Fair prices and high quality service. They will go out of their way to take care of you. For example, my battery was completely dead and they drove to my garage to give me a jump, the battery was completely dead so they went back and got the new battery and came back to replace, then we drove to the garage and they cleaned everything up. All of this was at 10pm after hours! INCREDIBLE. I would give them 10-stars if I could because that was just one example of the multiple times they have helped me in the past few months. My car s front passenger tire was punctured with a big screw while in the public parking at 2pm. I was told by the towing driver that it needs to be replaced. Jason had looked at it initially and hesitantly agreed that the best course was to change the tire and the order would come the next day! I ve asked him if he can try to fixed it. He agreed but stated that it will take time. I ve gave my contact information to Jonathan and asked for an estimate. He gave me an affordable quote. Jason and Jonathan understand a fellow San Franciscan neighbour in need. Jason solved the issue by sealing leak inside and out and even recommended to change the tires as the treads are wearing thin. He said that there s no more leak and it s safe to drive. Jonathan, on the hand, kept on updating me via texts on progress while Jason was fixing the problem. Jonathan even told me to be with family who are visiting SF and to enjoy some time (which we did in Ghirardelli Square and Japantown). I don t know any other repair shops that will do this kind of service until 8pm. Such dedication to service and professional work!Jason and Jonathan are really true San Franciscan neighbours to keep around this diverse community! A rare treat to find in this urban jungle. Jason, the mechanic who helped me, was extremely professional and helpful even though, as I could tell, he was very busy. I brought my car in an hour before they closed on Saturday and was able to get my tires replaced by Monday early afternoon (they were closed on Sunday). I'm impressed and very pleased about the promptness of their service.Service: Tires

I ran over a nail in the late afternoon, and I had to get my tire patched otherwise I couldn't drive home. Even though it was almost closing time and it was a last minute request, Bob's auto service still told me to bring my car in. I actually got my tire patched after their official closing time! They gave me a reasonable price, the mechanic and receptionist were extremely friendly, and they got the job done in no time at all. Highly recommend this shop!

I brought my Mercedes Benz for a tire change and a oil change. My tires were all worn out and cracked on the side. The mechanic recommended me Goodyear Tires and Kuho Tires because they are popular and good for my vehicle. They are stable and the tires look really really good. More importantly, the mileage on the tires will last. I ended up getting the all season tires for Goodyear. He did 2 Tires for me for $260 with installing and balancing the tires. For the oil change, he was able to do it for $85.00 with Full Synthetic oil too! Plus, I got a 10% off labor discount because my bill exceeded $250.00. I saved money and found a new place to bring in my car. They did a great job, provided excellent service and was professional throughout the work. I would highly recommended them to anyone who needs a car service/tire or oil change!

Bobs did a great job at changing my brakes. They were able to do them the same day. One thing that made me happy was that if they haven't noticed that my tires were almost all out, I would've never known and could've been in danger. They were able to replace my back tires the same day and gave me a price that I could have afforded. Will definitely come back for their services!

Damaged my right tyres scraping them on a curb right before a long drive down to SoCal that day via the PCH and was so worried my tyres would fail. Was so grateful to discover Bob's. My car was seen to almost instantly by Jason, who was initially away but came straight back when the office manager told him about my situation. He checked my tyres over and did not charge me as no work needed to be done. Was able to drive safely with peace of mind after that. Thank you so much!!! Highly recommend for great service.

I called the lady who worked there and she was very nice and kind and said to come by without an appointment. The auto body repair mechanic was very kind, stopped what he was working on, and fixed my minor repair quickly. This definitely will be be my place for any auto body repairs in the future. The customer service is exceptional.

My tire kept getting low even after putting air. Decided to get it checked to make sure. I took to Bob's Auto Service and they were able to find a nail. The service was quick and best of all they are very kind and professional! I highly recommend this place if you need to get your tires checked for any issues.Service: TiresService: Tires

Super friendly and GREAT service. I was in a bit of a last minute bind to get my tire fixed and they were quick to help, super nice even though it was close to closing time, and fixed the issue. Working great. I will def be back. Next time for my oil change. Hopefully no issues with car between now and then but if there is good to know I have a shop not from from the house.

My car had been damaged on the front end and I went to my nearest auto shop to get it fixed. Jonathan and Jason were really helpful and got my car fixed within the week! I went in to get my oil changed and was so impressed by the service, communication, and helpful staff! I never once felt pressured to get something fixed that I didn t want. They changed my oil and replaced my front tires which were super worn down for an incredibly fair price. I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable mechanic at a fair price!Services: Tires, Oil change

I had such a great experience at Bob s Auto Service! I needed an oil change and they were able to squeeze me in and do my oil change at a totally fair price and they also found out I had a nail in my tire (yikes) and fixed it for a very affordable price. They texted me through everything and it didn t take long at all. I didn t know trustworthy car places in the city still existed, so happy I found Bob s auto service!
