After reading all glowing reviews I called for battery replacement and bracket hold replacement immediately after being rescued by AAA. Off top I explained and gave disclaimer the car has many issues. I was told sorry I'm not experienced with "electrical" issues were mainly a body shop this response is contrary to reviews...

Ben was really knowledgeable and able to get my Rusty Caliper Replaced nice and clean. He is also enthusiastic about his job and showed me around my car patiently. Over charges repeat customer's, my alternator was going out he sold us a battery said alternator was good. 3weeks later back alternator gone, all the way out. He charged $680 for the second job, &500 for the battery and oil change

One week ago from today I had set a appointment with BEN Told him the work I was needing and he told me he can change the crankshaft no problem gave me a estimate at 245 then I wanted the seal changed and he quoted me a extra 50 I was fine with it then I had my car pushed into his shop and he looked at it and told me he can t do the work then continued to yell at me saying he can t do the work I told him we talked about this and he agreed to do the work before I took the day off of work to bring it in his shop spend 500 already for the parts and now he doesn t want to touch it and telling me to take the car out his shop.Horrible service horrible owners and they call them selfs mechanics but they can t change a pully ?? Fast service; competent, no-nonsense staff are easy and pleasant to communicate with; and good repairs at fair prices. I'd never been here before, but when my brake pedal went down to the floor, I nursed my car carefully to Auto Repair Center at 10th and Folsom. They had a new master cylinder and brake flush done by the next day, along with a couple of other things I asked for. This will be my go-to location for car repairs.

Great shop! The check engine light on my suv started coming on after a recent oil change. The place that changed my oil refused to acknowledge their responsibility. Luckily Auto Repair Center was able to find the source of the problem and fix it right away. Now the check engine light is no longer coming on. These guys are great!

That was exactly my experience over the years. They never ripped me off, but it took quite awhile to do the work. Word has it it's because they're so busy & understaffed, but who knows. Just knowing I had reputable work done on my car was worth it to me

The staff are so rude , especially boss ( small fat Asian guy) . He replaced my brake pads recently and it was gone in 3 weeks . However, I didn't take the recipe and he denied his job.when I asked to check with his system, he drove out my car and left in the street. This is the worse repair shop in the US.

The SF Auto repair website is incorrect. I don't know if these guys have a website...These guys are great. Fast, honest, and a great value. You know its a good place when you see taxi guys lining up to get their services done here.

I have been a satisfied customer for over 10 years. Kin and the rest of his staff are first class mechanics. The prices are always fair and the work is high quality.

I have been going to this place for at least last 25 years.There are about 15 workers so there Isn't long wait time.I recently purchased a honda from sf honda dealership and despite the fact it came with some free Repair warranty I prefer going to this auto repair center to save time because honda service center is always packed. Cost of repair is reasonable compairing to what others charge

They offer a great service at affordable price. Cabbies are often seen there, so these guys work fast and do their job right.

Same as the other post... Amazing part (aside from MY many years of going there...) this shop is rather large... But i could google them, or find them on Yelp. Yet i know they don't bs on their work...
