This is my go to place for my family. This is our 3rd Vehicle with Todd and company and they are friendly while being honest and on the level. Best mechanic experience I consistently have.

Todd is GREAT!!! My transmission in my 2017 Honda Pilot failed, Todd worked with my insurance company and was able to submit all the needed documentation to them but also was able to get my car from drop off to done in just 4 days. YOU ROCK!! Thanks!!

Todd & the gang were flexible with a crazy tow schedule, got my truck right in, written est. According to all available literature, fair prices for parts & labor. Everything was completed by the next day. Just one of those old school neighborhood garages that your dad went to for 20 years that you can t find anymore. Well guess what? At least one still exists, and they fix Minis too, Gen Z !

I just stopped by Alouis Auto Radiator. I thought my 2017 Ford Expedition had AC heater blower issues, but luckily Todd found that it was just running out of water. He added water and it started working immediately. I am grateful for his skills, expertise, and knowledge that saved me time and money today. He didn t even charge me for the service. I wrote another 5-star review on Google & Yelp about my Ford Transit van they fixed for me as well a couple of weeks ago.

I ve used Todd for a few years, based on recommendation of a friend. Nothing but positive things to say about him and his team. Will not charge you for unnecessary work. Gives you all the information and you make the decision on what you think is best for you now. Everyone needs their guy when it comes to cars, and I m glad that I found Todd.

Gotta hand it to Tod at Alouis Auto Radiator in San Francisco, CA he's one honest mechanic. Transparency is his jam, which is a rare find these days, especially when some folks prioritize profit over everything else.Had a good chat with Tod, and he really put in the effort to sort out the AC problem in my Ford transit van. I'll give it a spin on some scorching days, but I've got a feeling he did a solid job.Although, gotta say, Tod wouldn't trade his adorable dog for my van. Kinda bummed about that! Just messing around, of course.Happy holidays to everyone!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an exceptional oil change service at a local mechanic shop, and I must say, Alouis give me an outstanding experience. My headlights mysteriously went out on my car and I called the next morning and was able to get in that morning to see Todd. He order the parts and I had my car safe on the road within a few hours. Professional, knowledgable and friendly service.

I was very happy with the service that I received at Alouis. Highly recommend. Really comfortable lounge if you plan to wait onsite. Alouis Radiator was recommended to us by Phaedrus BMW company, another winner if you happen to own a BMW.

THE go-to place for car repair. The manager is a good person with whom to do business. If you're a canine, you'll get a treat. If you're humanoid, you'll get a story.

Todd is on it. Had the parts ready to go for my appointment and the AC now works. Not that we need it in SF but for weekends in Napa or the river. Job was finished on time and no surprises. Great place to take your car

If you're worried about someone being dishonest and overcharging you, or worried that someone's not going to treat your car the way you want it treated... You can rest easy because this place does everything but that. This place has been in business for a long time... they know what customers want and they've developed a solid clientele because of it. I do my own mechanic work usually but moving to the city I'm not having a garage I'm stuck. So after shopping around to a couple garages that were terrible found this one and it's been working out great. I know they're never trying to screw me over.. they never under quote me in the beginning and surprise me with a crazy expensive bill at the end. Just show me everything that they did and what it cost and it always lines up. Give them a try if you have any auto work that needs done, they're proven they can do it all.

When at home on the phone talking to him I didn't understand quite what he was saying until I got to his shop he explained what was going on I immediately told him to go ahead and finish the work I am very very very satisfied with the job and the prices are perfect

Very pleased with my experience here. I needed to effectively clear a Check Engin light prior to my SMOG inspection...so the correction that triggered the check light needed to be corrected for the light not to pop back on. After a week of me driving the auto I brought it back in so he could plug into the auto and determine if I was likely to pass. Once I checked out AOK he called a SMOG inspection and made sure I could knock this out the same day. Knowledgeable, thorough, and dependable..

Todd, the owner, went so far above and beyond anything I've ever experienced. Our car broke down and we filed a claim with our supplemental insurance (spoiler alert: don't get sucked into buying!). The first month was spend proving our car broke down before our policy expired. The amount of paperwork they made him send was ridiculous. Then the phone calls back and forth to get any work approved took another month! Then, due to COVID supply chain issues, we could not get a new engine for THREE MORE MONTHS. Todd never gave up on our car and stored it the entire time. Yesterday, five months later, we have our car back. WE LOVE THIS GUY!!!

I was recommended this place by a local mechanic when I was trying to get my air system fixed (nothing was working, defrosters, AC, heater).I don't really know much about cars, but these guys were really nice and helpful with it! I was so afraid they'd be the shady types who'd find a million things wrong with my car just to get more money in their pockets. I just wanted my air fixed for a reasonable price and that's exactly what they did. They were quick about it too.If I have any future problems, I'll definitely come back to them!

What a rip off! If you want to waste your money, come to this shop.Let me share my experience with you all..A couple weeks ago I called and asked about a diagnostic for what was draining my battery. Over the phone he said $55 so I scheduled the appointment, when I get there he tries to charge me $85 and I have to tell him that I have already spoken with someone about the price. He later then had my van all day just to tell me that it needs to have another hour or two worked on to find the source of the drainage. Which he explains that he needed another $150 to continue to find out which fuse it was. I recently had someone look at it and we changed two of the fuses which costed me $5 and 10 minutes of my time to figure out which fuse it was. I don't know about you but charging someone at an extra $150 to change a $5 fuse is absolutely ridiculous and such a scam. I would not suggest to anyone to come to the shop if it was the last shop on Earth.

SF is expensive as we all know. That said, this shop has very fair prices. They even worked with me; I installed most of my own new parts and brought the truck in for an inspection and recharge. They did a very thorough check of everything (found a couple of my mistakes/misses), and got me back on the road for a very reasonable price.

I live in the neighborhood and wanted to find a trustworthy service shop for my SUV. I've always had positive experiences with them and am happy with their work on my brakes, rotors, and regular oil changes. They have been honest, communicative, and efficient each time.

!!!!!!DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!!!!!TOTAL SCAM!!!Saw the good reviews and decided to go there to have my a/c looked at. They charge $140 just to inspect, which judging by how quickly they called me w/ the diagnosis, took them only 15 minutes!They'll put that $140 towards your repair bill, assuming you go with their overpriced labor fees.They specifically don't mention this when you book your appointment, but rather wait until you bring your car in.Total racket.

Really great Neighborhood auto shop. They ve fixed pretty much everything on my 13 year old Mazda 3. And they always do a good job. What s most appreciated is that theyre honest, and don t try to Sell me things I don t need.

Alouis has performed air conditioning and radiator service on our family's vehicles for approximately 30 years. The shop has also performed general maintenance and repairs for us for approximately 15 years. We recently had our 2001 M-B E320 serviced, including brakes. That vehicle has 203,000 miles and thanks to Todd, we plan on keeping it for at least another 100,000 miles. In the past, Alouis maintained our Dodge Sprit and our Dodge Caravan. The shop seems to specialize in older vehicles both domestic and foreign. I highly recommend Alouis for any vehicle, foreign or domestic, new or old.

These guys have been taking care of my car for years, fast, honest and super friendly. I had a replacement front end fail just after the warranty expired (like 30 days after) and they went to bat and got me a new one from the company and replaced it. I can't see myself going anywhere else.

Wrote up an order that had incorrect prices making the parts twice as much. I double checked the part numbers and he had parts that did not fit my vehicle in the order.I tried bringing this to his attention. But he seem to get agitated and said "you order them up".A month ago, i paid a dianostic fee that supposedly goes toward the work rendered. But he claim he didn't find anything. Under a month later, it was back doing the same thing. I ask him if the fee i paid earlier will go towards the work, he said no, it was seperate.I'm not sure why the upcharge in the prices or the attitude.

Changing my review from 5 stars to 1. It took them 4 attempts to completely fix my air conditioning, repeatedly leaving out parts of the repair that seemed obvious (like the dashboard lights not turning on) and claiming that I failed to mention it, even though the light was was the reason I knew the unit was malfunctioning. Charged me way too much after all the hassle to remove a nail from my tire too. Not going to be returning.

No excuses for poor ratings here. This guy is the go to honest mechanic for all my older cars and trucks. Knows his stuff, and fixes it the first time. Disregard people who write a bad review or are turned off by the mannerisms of the owner. They need to chill.
