Recently came here to have my gasket replaced on my transmission. I had done some maintenance on the car but I forgot to replace the gasket so I came to have that replaced, I just really didn t wanna do it myself , and a broken screw in the threads of the gasket. Was told I d have my car before closing so that was great. When i received a call of the issue being fixed, of course I said do whatever is necessary to have my car running. While the labor was a bit pricey, I m paying for a family owned shop here and professional service. Getting my car back, wow! The transmission ran better, the slippage was gone, and my car ran smoother. Not sure if it didn t have enough trans oil or what, but I love driving my car more than before. Thank you for keeping this place honest. Understanding mechanics can make mistakes sometimes and services can seem a but overpriced, but remember, if you want great service and professionalism you gotta do what it takes. Always appreciate honest and family owned shops, well respected.

They Rebuilt Transmission for $12,437.12 , guy left San Fernando,California and got as far as Grants, New Mexico before New Transmission blew up. Shop won't make it right or honor their Warranty!

I had a bad experience at another car shop (several actually) and decided to try Victor s Transmission. Everyone was super nice and had me in and out of there as fast as humanly possible. I highly recommend coming here for car repairs or even just an oil change. I won t go anywhere else anymore, as I ve learned the hard way how many crook mechanics are out here. Believe me, you won t regret bringing your car here.

Updated review 5 to 2 star.Amazing service!My family mechanic retired years back. Someone we trusted for over 20 years. When he retired we were sort of lost. I found Victor through Google and in person asked him to be fair with us and we will not go to another mechanic. Ever since he has been the kindness mechanic. No hidden fees or surcharge. He'll even give discounts and coupons we didn't have.He recently gave me a free vehicle inspection. Go to him and be upfront and courteous he will treat you and your car right.Edited: update to current date 4/23/2021I'm not impressed by their recent work they did to my car especially how they cut my rotors and the alignment they performed. I had another mechanic look at my brakes and rotors because there was severe rumbling coming from my front brakes, Victor stated its the YAW sensor which was going to be expensive (there was a fault code for the yaw sensor he is correct about the fault code)I also asked him could it be the rotors? He stated no way the rotors were freshly cut and they are smooth. The 2nd mechanic said the rotors should have never been cut from the beginning the rotors did not have enough life in them and who ever measured the cut only measured one side. There are also micro cracks in the rotors as well. He also explained to me the boot cover for a link should have been replaced or atleast mentioned to the owner before the alignment was performed so the car doesn't have to get aligned twice. The mechanic asked for the alignment paperwork which was never given. I had the all 4 rotors replaced first and the rumbling is gone 4 weeks of safe driving no rumbling! Updated to today we replaced the sensor as well for safety reasons. Overall pretty disappointing that I had to pay 2x because someone did not do the job right the 1st time. I do not think I can recommend this place anymore. They also charged me something like 50-60 for "labor" to take out a battery and put one in thats a 5 min job. I still think Victor is a good mechanic but maybe one of his employees did not do the job correctly.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

I have a 2001 Honda Accord that is going to my daughter. I have been driving the car for the past few months. The car was driving funny a week ago so I took it to a local AAMCO. A few hours later AAMCO told me it was the transmission and it needed to be replaced. Price to fix $2.300.00 plus. That seemed high to me. I then took the Honda to my mechanic who referred me to Victor Garza at Victor Transmission. I then went to Pep boys to check on the part/price and even the service associate in the parts the department referred me to Victor Transmission as well. Victor was great. Victor and his crew did a diagnostic test on the Honda and they discovered the transmission was in great shape and all I needed to do was replace the Shift Solenoid C - P0763 and do a transmission flush. My cost for there service was $302.71. I recommended anyone that has a transmission or engine issue check out Victor and his team. I promise you will get an honest answer with fair price.

Victor's is Simply The Best! You have to bring your older or newer model car, SUV, whatever, here!My 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee had, I thought, breathed its last drive. My Girlfriend's family takes their cars here and my Girlfriend has been telling me for years! I wish I would have listened a long time ago!Victor and his crew just revived my dying Jeep. They simply were amazing and the work and attention they gave my tank is truly awesome. I forgot how great my V8 sounded and how much power it had until Victor and his crew took it under their wing.Victor is professional, honest, and is upfront. Most of all Victor really took a proactive approach to my Jeep!

Professional, Polite and Knowledgeable.I've been bringing my cars here since 1988. Datsun, Camaro, Valiant, Escort, Focus and most recently my 1970 Buick. Always greeted with a smile and a handshake. You speak directly with Victor and /or Ernie every time. You will always get a warm welcome from Wanda at reception and boys in the shop are very helpful. I can't fault these guys. They have saved $$ and always communicate with you about what you need and what they suggest, no pressure. You the customer get to make the final decision. I have sent numerous friends and family to Victors Transmission and everyone has been happy with their experience. There are the rest but I feel Victors Transmission is the best.

It's nice to have a place to go where they know how to diagnose a problem and fix it good too.This is now the second time that my car has been made brand new again. I took my car in for an oil change and they were able to diagnose the noise I was hearing from the suspension. Thank you

I went to Victor transmissions because it was close to my house, he test drove my car and said that I will have to leave the car so he can check it. I asked him if it will need to be rebuild and he said maybe not, he has to check the car more thoroughly, so I asked him if it needed a rebuild, and how much? He told me that a rebuild on my Ford Crown Victoria Police will be $950 out the door and that the price was the best around. So I decided to leave the car so they can check it. It cost $ 75 and then he will call me back with a quote to see if it will need a full rebuild, later that day he said yes it needs to be rebuild and he said it will be only $1040 so I told him to go ahead and rebuild it because for a rebuild that is a good price, then he said BUT when we opened the tranny it may need extra parts if a part is not rebuildable that's when I knew the low price catch so I asked him worst case scenario how much and he said $1500, so I figured that I will be paying about $1500. After opening the transmission he called me back and guess what he said?? YEP it needed more parts like I thought then he quoted me the new price of $1430. The transmission work was done fast and very good these guys know their work, my car drives like brand new, smooth shifts not one drop of leakage and my car feels faster! excellent work Victor Jr, Then he checks your car two weeks later to make sure everything is good and you get a one year warrantee. So the work is good but the only thing I didn't like was the price going up you get good work, but don't be mistaken your going to pay for it. Buy the way, my car is a 2008 with 70K miles and is an ex police vehicle, these cars are very strong and well built, keep this in mind.

We took my tahoe in for oil gauge not reading although the oil life showed 85%. At first we were worried that the uninvited squirrel in the hood had damaged some cables. Ernie and his guys did a complete vehicle inspection and found the cause of the gauge not reading. Other potential issues were identified and we decided to go ahead and clear them up now then wait down the line and deal with a bigger problem.From the reception to the floor, you experience a friendly, welcoming staff. Victor Transmission & Auto Care have gained a lifetime customer. I will be recommending them to our friends and family. They are honest, trustworthy and don t give you the run around or try to sell you things you don t need. Speedy service and great communication. No need to look further, these are your guys!Thank you Victor Transmission & Auto Care!!!

The best transmission service shop I have ever visited the people are polite and professional their quotes are pretty accurate their work time is also pretty accurate and the results are very satisfying their prices are very competitive and they have good warranty.

A very pleasant and efficient experience. Everyone knew what they were doing, no guessing. On our way to vacation when the transmission started smoking. They had us fixed up and out in no time. Just long enough for a lunch stop.The Vasquez family appreciate and thanks you for saving our vacation and car.

Top notch business!hard to trust anyone when it comes to cars. the owner and his employees are great. the work needed to be done gets done... never feel like he's milking me for more. trusting mechanics is hard to come by.... I trust these guys!

Beware! .......Gave the owner a call, and was told to bring my car to be looked at. They gave an excuse to leave my car after 2 days he didn't have the time to look at it, still parked on the street, but had me look at another car he was working on and gave a bluff about not only do I need a rebuild but also the case is bad because of bearings./ for my 2003 honda Accord v6 he wanted $2,600 I said absolutely not and told him I'm getting my car to another shop. He said i need to pay $85. Now remember they didn't look at $hit. So I argued with him he gave my keys back and I took it to R&S transmission in San Fernando best service and price. Bottom line is the owner and son are scum bags! Ripping people off I would suggest you shop around. FYI this took place in 2014

Not sure why anyone would give this place less than 5 stars. Victor saved me $2K by repairing one of the valves in my transmission, instead of swapping the entire transmission with a rebuilt unit. Been well over a year now and it's still running strong. I can't thank you guys enough!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Another beautiful mechanic, they do not break the professional rules and regulations. The company is very Pruden, so if an person wanted to receive professional mechanical Transmission Service. I recommend Victor transmission to anybody

I take my car to that shop due to transmission problem and victor talked me that the problem was the motor mount damaged and he said he changed, but the problem still there and now he said is transmission problem so l spend 800 dollarFor nothing. DON'T GO THERE IS F PLACE TO GO

I was supposed to get a new transmission and after them having my car for 2 months and paying almost $7000 my car is having the same problems as before plus some... I noticed the problems 10 minutes after leaving the shop... I went to another shop to get it looked at (per my lawyers request) and was told i needed a new transmission... Im currently trying to get my money back.

Very expensive,very slow, liar,he doesn't repair the transmission he takes them down and takes them to another place to have them overhaul then he puts them back that's why is so expensive. And watch out he doesn't do anything free. So if he tells you he will do a diagnosis have him write it.
