Brent is one of the best mechanics and is knowledgeable on just about every make and model of bike. I came in and was helped right away. He also went above and beyond and tightened a few things he found and didn t even charge me for the extra labor. Great guy, great service, and great spot to take your bike for mechanical issues. I won t take my Repsol anywhere else to be worked on! Highly recommend his services.

Had a great experience! Brent is very knowledgeable and made everything super streamlined and easy. Service was professional, on time, and bangin!! Went 2 over on my front end and it was well worth it. I owe that to Brent and the amazing work he did. I recommend contacting Wide Open Moto if you need anything done.

I ve track raced, ridden Harleys, and have been around MCs for the last 20+ years - recently moved to SD.I came across WOM when searching Yelp & Google for motorcycle inspection mechanics. Brent was highly responsive for a hot request to inspect a 10+ year old KTM I was about to purchase- he was busy so he asked me to meet him at his shop /garage. Don t let the small but mighty garage fool you, he has an eye and ear for the details, and has clearly done inspections for used bikes many times over. When it was all said and done, the Craigslist transaction went through and Brent gave me the negotiating power to knock $800+ off the asking price.I trusted Brent s guidance so much so that I elected to go with him for the recommended full service a few weeks later. The quality of service, communication, and expertise have made a very difficult task (finding a trustworthy, easy to work with mechanic) something I no longer have to worry about.I will be going back to WOM for my services in the future and recommend others to do the same.

Brent was awesome! I needed some wheel bearings installed last minute while putting my Buell back together. I took the wheels and bearings and he took care of it in about 10 minutes while I waited during my break at work. Super efficient and reasonably priced. I would go back for sure for other things.

Took a day off of work to drive to S.D. to get my Kawasaki Zrx 1200r worked on by Brent.As promised, Brent delivered that afternoon a tuned, serviced machine that has never run better than now. My bike is 23 years old and it runs like new. Thank you Brent for taking the time and explaining to me the workings of my carburators issues. I will definitely return for future maintenance.

This is THE place to go for bike work. Brent is awesome and is the only person I trust to work on my motorcycle (besides myself of course). He is quick and efficient, and really knows his stuff. The next time I run into a problem beyond my skill set this is the first shop I will call hands down.A few tips, make sure you schedule your appointment before hand. And a few blocks east of his shop is a taco truck that is truly fantastic. If it's gonna be quick. Drop your bike off and walk over for a few tacos while you wait.

I had a flat tire on my scooter and do not own the tools to make the repair Brent was very accommodating and fit me in on short notice. My repair was completed very quickly at a very reasonable price. Thank you Brent for being available and knowledgeable. I will definitely recommend.

Honestly Brent is amazing and you will not be disappointed with how he treats you and your bike. His prices are the absolute best in the area and he will always do his best to make sure that he not only keeps you in the loop with the maintenance or repair he is doing but also is constantly looking for ways to save you money. Couldn't ask for a better motorcycle mechanic for the few bikes I own and I will happily return in the future with any problems that arise or work that needs to be done. Super knowledgeable and always taked the time to explain the process he will have to go through as well if you have any questions! So much better than some overpriced mechanic shop in the area! I needed to get some work done on my Honda Rebel, so I typed in "motorcycle repair San Diego". I noticed all of the 5 Star reviews for Wide Open and decided to give Brent a call. I'm really glad I did. He provided excellent service, was super communicative, and it's very clear that he is incredibly knowledgeable. Given my great experience, I figured I'd just add to the collection of 5 Stars and help others to discover his shop. I'll definitely be back for any needs in the future.

My forks were leaking pretty bad so I called around and he gave the best price, 100 bucks less then what everyone else quoted me. Went to pick up the bike and let him know about a problem with my clutch lever. He made a minor adjustment with no cost definitely found a great and affordable mechanic to bring both of my bikes to! Great guy and very communicative!

I came across Wide Open Moto when my 2016 Honda Metropolitan s rear brake light stopped working regardless of replacing the bulb. Brent was able to take a look at my scooter within a few days of contacting him. I dropped off and picked up my scooter same day. Turns out a little furry friend thought it would be fun to chew on some wires. Brent was able to fix the chewed wires in no time, and at a reasonable price. Highly recommend for all motorcycle/scooter repairs!

The shop is amazing. Brent, the owner, is very nice and very meticulous. His pricing is much better than other shops and dealers that I have worked with in the past. He was able to get my 2013 KTM running, when nobody else could, and for a much more reasonable price. I highly recommend wide-open Moto.

Brent was able to fix my bike when it broke when leaving on a Baja trip. Getting the bike in fast saved the entire weekend. Brent has worked on my DRZ400 four times now and he always takes the time to explain the issue and how he fixed it. One of the few customer-focused mechanics in San Diego.

A massive thanks goes out to wide open for bringing my black Betty back to life. It is really hard to find a mechanic willing to work on a Chinese motorbike. I m so glad we found wide open and they were able to get my motorbike back on the road.

Brent provided really fast service and gave an accurate estimate up front on my 2001 Yamaha WR426. He gave advice on replacing parts and got me in on Friday and out on Tuesday. Shout out to both guys who helped get my very old bike feeling like new again.

I had Brent install a powercommander. He was very quick to respond. Walked me through the whole process of what he was going to install and discussed with me the best location to put it. Dropped my bike off and within 2 hours had it back out on the streets! Definitely will be hitting him up again for work!

Took my KTM Duke 890 here for an annual service, and was impressed by the service and price (fraction on the dealer). No doubt, this will be my new mechanic for any future issues/services.Update: Brent did a supermoto conversion on my xcf and installed a dual sport kit to make street legal. Great price and even gave me a tutorial on how to swap dirt to street

Brent is a very professional and reliable mechanic. He helped me with a very accurate inspection when I was buying my first bike and then he did a stellar job with my first tune up. He's also gone beyond by teaching me how to keep my motorcycle well maintained. I feel he holds my best interest! Took in my Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 for its first service in Sept and for a chain adjustment a few weeks ago. I am very pleased with Brent's service, his communication, and his service/parts fees - which are very fair. He has helped me very often, and offered his advice over text and phone free of charge. To look over my moto and chain tension, he only charged $20, which would have easily been over $100 dollars at any of the dealers that service Husky near me. I can definitely recommend Brent with confidence!

Best mechanic I ve ever worked with. Helped me out with all my problems, and keeps helping over text and calls with whatever I need. He works with you to find the best and cheapest deals. Overall has been a great help and I won t be going to anyone else for as long as I live San Diego

I ll give it to you like this. Not only did Brent help me troubleshoot the problem myself and give recommendations before I spend my $$, I mistakenly take the bike to him a day early while he s jam packed, he gets me in and out that same day. Knew exactly what the issue was with my bike and got it handled. Incredible. 100% going back to him from here on out.

Brent did a great job on my triumph T100. I had a misfires and the bike was just running rough. He diagnosed it and repaired it. Brent is very responsive, communicates well and gives you a no BS experience. I needed new spark plug, carb clean and dialed in to run and idle out properly. WOM provides great service and great prices. Dont go anywhere else!!!

Brought my 02 R6 into Brent to have it looked over, carbs cleaned up, and have an electrical issue fixed. He took care of it quickly and for a great price! Definitely suggest him for all your local motorcycle needs!
