I have never received such thoughtful, supportive, and knowledgeable services as I received at West Miramar Automotive & Transmission. Before any work was done I was shown a list of what was recommended and how much it cost. I was able to choose if I wanted a service done or not. I was given a ride home by one of their staff who was friendly and efficient. I will certainly be returning anytime that I need work done on my Hyundai hybrid.

Very professional, flexible and honest. West Miramar had the overhead room in one of their bays to lift our Chevrolet Express 2500 that has a roof rack. They had a lift powerful enough to lift our van. They provided a courtesy shuttle that dropped me off at home and picked me up when the van was ready in mid-afternoon. Jim thoroughly reviewed the results of the AAA 40 point inspection. I strongly recommend West Miramar for any vehicle repairs!

I found West Miramar a very good place. My van was totally dead. The city sent me a notice that they were going to ask everyone to move their vehicles for road work and after I got the van started with a jumper, West Miramar let me bring it to them on a moments notice, and within a few days had repaired it for a reasonable price. Polite people, good work- I was very happy with the experience.

I have a Gmc pick up truck and it s sat for two months at another automobile repair facility. They were unable to fix my issue, and then West Automotive came to my rescue. Next time West will be my first choice as I can t say enough about the Knowledge, skill and competency of their technicians. Mr. Jim s level of Quality customer service was stellar and I had my truck back in a week. Thanks again Jim.

My car got a thorough check up/maintenance! West Miramar Auto did a great job, Thanks, Oscar, service manager! I ll now feel safe in my driving! I ve also used this associate shop in Escondido years ago! (West Escondido Auto). That association has at least 4-5 Auto Shop in San Diego County! Look them up~~ GREAT SERVICE, and owner: Brian!

Great service! Jim diagnosed and explained my brake issue very well. He also provided an overall general health report for my Honda Accord which was great for me to see what other aspects of my car possibly needed work in the future. No pressure was on me to get other work done at all. It was all for future reference and I appreciated it greatly

Incredibly nice and friendly. Had my alternator replaced and they finished quickly. They didn t try to sell me anything extra and even provide a shuttle service to pick you up and drop you off while they work on the car.

Brought my car in on what I was told over the phone was a warranty covered repair (we had work done some months ago). Dropped the car off, signed a work order for $0. Inspection comes in and it's not covered, and the repair would be $200 higher than another quote I had received. No big deal, I come back and am surprised with a $85 inspection fee that was neither disclosed before I brought my car in nor when I called to discuss the repairs.I'm inclined to think it was a miscommunication rather than an explicit bait and switch, but a bait and switch would look a lot like this. I'll be staying away in the future.

I brought a car into West Automotive for a Pre Purchase Inspection and they were true professionals! The diagnostic tests as well as a bumper to bumper inspection went over everything I needed to know to make the purchase process more efficient.Honestly I feel a heck of a lot more confident with making a wise decision to purchase or not to purchase the vehicle at hand. I will definitely be back again!

Wonderful experience! Brought my 1995 Nissan 240sx to West Miramar Automotive for repairs and smog diagnostics, and they took the utmost care and service for my vehicle! Tremendous help and superb customer service experience! They were extremely kind and friendly, and kept me updated and informed throughout the entire experience. They truly made me and my car feel special and taken care of, and I never doubted that my project was in the best of hands. I sincerely appreciate and greatly admire the work they do, and the uniquely pleasant customer experience really made the process worthwhile. They made all the necessary repairs, and continued the smog certification. My car is now fully registered, inspected, and fully legal to drive on CA roads. I can't thank them enough! 12/10, truly amazing business! This shop provided excellent customer service! They got me an appointment at a time that was convenient for me, and finished repairs the same day! They even made sure the repairs were done before my kids got out of school in the afternoon. I definitely didn t expect that! I got a full report of their inspection via text, and I felt like they were totally honest with me. Their shuttle service was excellent and timely. The team at West Miramar automotive worked professionally on my Chevy van got my air conditioning working top-notch. I highly recommend this team to work on your cars or trucks. I dreaded finding a new place to get a smog check! I was fortunate to find West Miramar Automotive! Oscar, our service manager, went over all the details (cost,, etc) & arranged for everything while we waited in a comfortable, quiet, well-appointed lounge. Our tech came back soon after with good news: we passed! But he also had good advice to pass on about car care. Thanks for helping us out!Service: Emissions testing

My car died on Saturday 11/19 and AAA had it towed to West Miramar Auto. Bill called me BRIGHT and early on Monday morning asking for more info and telling me they would get it looked at that day and told me what the diagnostic charge would be. I appreciated the urgency and the transparency of the cost. Later that day, he called to tell me that the transmission had multiple issues as well as a few other issues. He was compassionate and thoughtful as he shared that the repairs were way more than the value of the car. He supported me talking through the options and agreed it wasn't a sound financial decision to have it repaired. It took a couple days for me to get the car towed out of their lot and they were very understanding-including when I locked my keys in the car when cleaning it out-Junior had it opened up in a jiffy!I am so grateful I ended up at West Miramar Auto and when I get a new car- I will be returning there for service.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I was quoted 2400 dollars for a set of repairs after popping a curb very badly. I actually never intended to have it fixed and simply wanted a diagnosis so I declined the 2400. It was then inmediatez the reduced to 1650 which I appreciated, however, like I said I never intended to fix the vehicle so I declined. I ended up finding a buyer for my car who asked I get a new report for him before his purchase. To my surprise the other auto shop was able to completely fix my vehicle (now has been on the road for 3 weeks) for $590. I quickly realized I essentially was getting swindled by this shop. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all cost. Two stars because the employee was nice enough

Very disappointed in the work I had done here. I had a thermostat replaced in my Jeep, for which I was told they "only use manufacturer parts and no cheap knockoffs". They also said that I should do a coolant flush (even though my car had ~45k miles) which added about ~$90. Weeks later, my engine light was still going off, but this time I was able to take it to my family mechanic I'd been using for years elsewhere and he replaced the thermostat and the engine light never came back on. That same mechanic charged me $150 less for nearly the same thermostat (which was an authorized reseller NOT a manufacturer part as I was told I was getting). All in all, I was charged half the price for the same parts + labor. When I called West Miramar and inquired about the prices, I was told that I'm paying a premium because they're a "chain business" and have to markup their products. Long story short, I was significantly overcharged and upsold on things I didn't need and lied to about parts I was paying for. It's extremely disappointing because I don't know a lot about car parts and trusted this company who took me for a run for my money.The 2 stars is because they did have great customer service and quickly replied to my calls and followed up with me although in the end they didn't give me back anything more than $25.

I was extremely impressed with these guys. Truly a very professional business. They took care of my needs and the most surprising experience was the extra service in taking me home and picking me up from home. Cost for doing work, very reasonable. I would highly recommend!

My 2014 Honda CRV was brought in for a B1 inspection. During the inspection they found contaminated brake fluid and I elected for a brake fluid flush. I was given a complimentary shuttle and had a cup of hot coffee. The customer service was friendly and responsive. The service that I received from Kristin and Eric at West Miramar Automotive & Transmission was amazing and I really appreciated how understanding and patient they were with me. They were very accommodating and extremely efficient with getting my vehicle back to me as soon as possible. I really had one of the best service experiences here and the employees are great at their jobs! Excellent service. Set up appointment online, dropped off my car, and was given a complimentary shuttle ride back to my place. The people working the front desk were extremely friendly and upfront with what work needed to be done on my car and the pricing; I was able to pick up my car the next day. Seems like a place where they go the extra mile (pun intended), would highly recommend!

Took my 2014 VW GTI in to get serviced. After their inspection, they claimed that I needed new rotors, brake pads, a serpentine belt, and other servicing. Their estimate came to $4k. I declined this option and went to the VW dealership. I had them take a look. They found no cracked serpentine belt, no need for new rotors, and only one set of brake pads to be replaced. The dealership s total cost for this and other servicing was $1400 West Miramar has no issue with trying to take advantage of your pockets.

This was my 1st experience with West Miramar Automotive and I came away impressed. Small shop with full capabilities. They value customer service and quality repairs/maintenance (which can be tough to find all in one place!) One thing that really struck me in particular is that they really ARE a team and the mechanics, front desk/management personnel and shuttle driver seem to genuinely enjoy working together. The feel is one of "Let's get this done and get it done well." but without any negativity. The friendly atmosphere combined with excellent work/service speaks of well-treated employees. High marks for this repair shop. I WILL go back and will recommend it to others.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment

I had to pay twice for smog because last time YOU did a service the tech failed to reattach a vacuum hose causing me to fail the first smog inspection this time.Thank you for your reply If you check my invoice 113422 Your facility did a 65000 check on my car including changing the air filter and transmission fluid exchange. So Yes you were the last people to touch my car. prior to this time. I am positive that just a smog check did not cost me $953.70.Service: Auto emissions testing
