I definitely had a 5 star experience . I went after work on Saturday morning and worked with Josh. This kid is an A+++++ when it comes to customer service. I was in and out in about 25 minutes , I had wipers and a light changed as well. He answered all of my silly questions and went over exactly what I needed to work in, no pressure to get it all done today, which I LOVED, he gave me a print out etc. The day before I actually had tried to go somewhere else , there was a bit of a wait and the guy was rude so I left. I m so glad I did. All the techs here are great but Josh is definitely their employee of the month. This is definitely my spot now for oils changes.

If you catch this location on a slow day, the service is definitely worth it. Everybody here is super professional and nice as they run through there strict procedures. Price is a little high, but I'm sure there are coupons out there to help with that. I was pleased with each one of my encounters

I had my oil changed here about a month ago. The team was very nice, but I noticed I had an oil stain in my garage, but I didn t notice it right away. This leak has meant a trip to my local garage, who diagnosed it as a rear main seal, which is about $1,500 to fix. After talking with a friend, they suggested I take it to the dealer as it may be covered under the drive train warranty. After $100.00 diagnosis fee and a rental car at $78 . They said it s leaking from the drain plug, it just needed to be tightened . Human errors happen, but I almost spent $1500 fixing a problem that didn t exist, now that s on the shop I originally took it to, but one little human error cost me $178 dollars and several hours of my time and it could have been worse. This is in addition to driving away the day I went there only to return a few minutes later with a tire that was 15lbs under normal and made my tire alert come on.

I went in for a transmission fluid change, and they messed up my entire transmission. I was without a car for a week. Valvoline paid for the transmission rebuild, but I was not compensated for not having a car or for missing an event I had paid for. Extremely disappointing that they messed up such a simple job and didn't do enough to make it right.

No, issue with the oil change this go around.. My concern, is with the customer service. Two out of the three staff, were rude and unprofessional. My attendant (April), is the reason for this review. She slammed my door (after scanning my VIN) and proceeded to talk to me, as if I were beneath her for the duration of my visit. Trips like this and my prior Valvoline dilemma, makes me want to venture out to see what the competition has to offer.

took 2022 Ram 3500 w/ 12000 miles on it and once i got home she leaked engine oil for three days. now i have oil stains in driveway that even a power washer would not remove fully. Very sloppy job and will never go back.

Arrived at 11am, no waiting.Service took over 30minutes, but I had some extra stuff done. They tried to change the cabin air filter, but they eventually had to accept that my 92 Toyota hilux does not have cabin air filter.As always, the technicians are very professional and courteous.

Had an amazing service experience at the Scripps Valvoline today. Ashley and the rest of the team were excellent: friendly, skilled, and efficient. They checked in with me for consent before doing anything, like opening the doors to check the vin/air filter, which oil we were going with, and showed me the dip stick after the change. They ran many safety checks and let me know what additional services were recommended but there was no pressure or upselling. They honored my Groupon (which I recommend getting) and the tax+hazardous waste disposal fee was only an additional $5. It was such a smooth process and I was in and out in under 15 minutes. It was 100% worth the time and money and I definitely recommend coming here.

I had an unfortunate experience here today. When I arrived an employee greeted me and said the wait would be about 15 minutes. I ended up waiting for close to 40 minutes when that same employee came up to my car and said he'd get me seen next in the adjacent stall even though there was another car waiting in that stall for the current car to wrap up. I told him, "all good, appreciate it", and this seemed okay since I had been waiting there long before the other waiting car showed up. When the car in the stall left, another employee proceeded to let that other waiting car come into the stall. As this was happening, I signaled the employee that told me I'd be next. He said, "yeah, he already waved the customer in, nothing I can do about that". He then added, "how about if you wait just 10-15 or-so minutes more, I'll give you a coupon". He asked me what my current coupon was and said he could give me 20% off, maybe more if the system would let him. At that point I was already pretty unsatisfied with the lack of customer service and unapologetic attitude of the employee, so I thanked him and proceeded to leave. Keep in mind, for the entire 40+ minutes there was only one car in front of me (the one being worked on). Two other waiting cars also left due to the high wait times. I'm sure I'm an outlier here given all the other good reviews, but I won't be recommending this location to friends and family.

This was the best thing I've ever done! I don't know why it took me so long to do my oil changes this way.I was definitely over due for an oil change and my usual shop closes early weekdays I can't make it after work and only open on Saturday until 1pm. So it's always busy. My husband took me here and it's a game changer. Never going back to the old way. This is the way to go!I get to stay in my car, they do a complete check of my fluids, tires and pressure checks. Then I pay and drive off. So easy!! Love it!Service: Oil change

These guys are awesome! It's the only place I trust to have my wife go and get her oil changed and know they aren't going to sell her a bunch of unnecessary services. Highly recommended.

I have been to several other Valvoline centers and have been disappointed with there services especially their prices. But this centers at Scripps Summit the services have been excellent. They where not pushy nor trying to make you upgrade services. They were very efficient and timely.

I have been different Valvoline Instant Oil Change centers in the past, including locations that are within the same franchise family in the San Diego area. In my experience across the different centers, the one that stands out most is the 12055 Scripps Summit Dr. location in San Diego. The attention to detail was outstanding and beyond any previous experience. The manner of interaction with the specialists was professional, straightforward, friendly and thorough. And, while I understand that part of their job is to recommend additional services, I perceived no excess of pressure or sense of urgency. However, if they had placed emphasis on any aspect of maintenance that would keep my vehicle running efficiently, I would consider their suggestions in earnest. These individuals gave me a sense of confidence that the services they provide are carried out with the care and concern, and I will return to this location in the future.Service: Oil change

Super fast oil change and knowledgeable employees. Make sure you ask for the military/veteran's discount if you qualify for it and bring proof (Active duty ID, Driver's license with the veteran designation, or VA hospital card). I've been taking ALL 4 of my cars here for years. If for some reason you get a leak, maybe from the oil drain cap, they will fix it for free within reason and replace the oil. Overall fast 15 minute oil change and great employees!

The workers were nice and easy to talk with. However I called ahead of time to make sure they had the correct oil for my transfer case. I had to talk with 3 different people including the assistant manager who assured me she had the correct oil. When I got there, they scanned my car and "sorry we don't have the correct oil". Very frustrating since I went out of my way to call ahead.

I highly recommend going to this business. All the staff, including Steve, Nick, Gio, and Denzel were very professional, quick, and answered all questions regarding anything to do with the vehicle fluid levels, oil etc. The prices are fair and the whole team is really great and they deserve a huge compliment!!!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Oil changeServices: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Oil change

Awesome crew. They got the oil changed quickly and were not pushy re: suggested maintenance recommendations. They discovered an issue advised I reach to my regular mechanic. I got the problem diagnosed and fixed by my mechanic within 2 days! I believe the service advisor was Jacob or Justin. He was very polite, clear and just awesome customer service. Would recommend this location with a 5 star rating. Great job!

The folks at Valvoline on Scripps summit when tasked with doing an oil change, (76$) managed to make make my car cease to run.. I was advised to get a tow (85$ hook up fee), go to the dealership, and after paying ($160) for an inspection at the dealership they discovered that when our technician removed the air filter in an attempt to upsell us, he failed to reattach the hose properly, which is why my car wouldn't run and why I incurred 245$ of unnecessary fees... The next day now... they're refusing to pay us for the inspection fee they incurred and are claiming no responsibility.Service: Oil change

The guys working were prompt. It's a drive thru style so you don't even have to get out of your car. Once you get into the bay they offer several different packages and let you choose. You can see everything on the screen so you know they aren't cheating you. Great customer service with out being cheesy.I usually avoid chain mechanics because there are so many small garage owners I try to support them...In this case I had seen their 15 minute oil change sign every day and on my way into work my oil light and engine light came on so it was the perfect time to give em a try and I'm glad I did.

I loved the concept of drive through. You just sit in the car and continue your work or phone conversation. No reservations hassle, and not much wait since it is quick in and quick out.Make sure you call them to get the latest coupon, they will automatically text you after conversation. Also they have coupons on their website.

Quick and easy oil change very nice people here. Sometimes we go just for an oil change and there is so much up selling that you never want to go back. Not this place, they ask if you would like to go over suggestions and no pressure if not. Great place and they are super happy to help!

Great service! I don't worry about the cost of a product when I am taken care of in this manner. I was in and out in 15 minutes. The team communicated and worked well together. No pressure on up grades. I enjoyed my experience.
