I have been taking both of my cars here for years because they are efficient and affordable. Even without an appointment, I'm usually in and out in less than 20 minutes. Be aware that they do not take credit cards, cash only.

These guys are seriously the best smog check and smog testing facility in San Diego. OK, I haven't been to them all, but I have been to others and these guys are fast, really fast and super friendly at a very reasonable price and are Star Certified.

Their English... not so good, so they don't talk much. It's getting better each time I go. I have a 38 year old car that needs smog test ONLY every two years and requires the special equipment (DYNO), they have. Fast and easy smog test. Brought my car here after going to another test site nearby that was closed even though website said it was open.V & T was not only open, but the testing was done fast. There is a waiting area inside with magazines. Both the person at front and the person doing the test were kind and friendly. They told me about the cost upfront and was able to pay with credit card. I will return here if I need another smog test and I m in the area.

I've been going to them for years. They are very professional and quick! They have me always out in about 10 mins. There is never a line. This is the place to go to if you want fast quality service. Friendly neigborhood Smog Testing place.

V & T is mom and pop small business, please do supportVery friendly and courteous service. $50 flat price for smog test and e-delivery certificate to dmv. Hassle free service in and out in 10 minutes if you have appointment, Walk-ins are fine too.Going here for 5 years � for both my car, will recommend this place.

Called ahead and asked if I could bring my car in for a smog in 5 mins. They said sure and I was there in 3 mins. They kept lobby safe and locked due to Covid, handed my paper and keys and they brought my car to the back. 5 mins later I was done. Very nice and courteous of your time. I will definitely be returning for my next smog check.

This place keeps things simplified and they are FAST. They know that EVERYONE hates getting their car smog tested and so they don't add more stress to the equation! The technician drove the car around back and a few shirt minutes later the nice lady in the front office called me to the front door. I paid. She gave me my smog cert and that was that.Sometimes the BEST service happens with the least amount of dialog/customer interaction. V&T demonstrate this quite efficiently. Thanks.

In and out in 10 min. Fastest smog, family run business, friendly service. Only cost $50 and they only charge $15 if you need a retest. I ve been going here for years and they ve been here in the community for over 20 years.A++ service and great people. They even waived the fee when I had problems troubleshooting my old Chevy. I would recommend them highly to any of my friends.

This smog test facility is very friendly and reliable. I've been coming here for many years, and the owner is very honest. Service is very fast, normally running 15 minutes or less for the test. In the COVID world, they keep the door closed, and interact through the mail slot in the front door. That's okay though, because overall this is my go-to smog test facility in San Diego.

I have been coming to this place for years. Recently I took my 92 Corolla for smog and was qouted $65.00 not including certification. I heard another customer was qouted $50.00, after the customer left I asked the wife why the price difference, she went inside and talk to Ton, the husband. She came back and told the price increased to $68.00. On the same date a customer was charged for failed test when the check engine light was already on when the customer brought the vehicle in the first place. Any honest smog test station will not do a test when the check engine light was already activated. Not coming back ever, business must be good to be arrogant.Services: Smog certification, Emissions testing

I am a mechanic and decided to use this place! I do not recommend this service and these people who work there. These are not experts, they are simply extortionists of money and very bad people! They charge for diagnostics and then charge for a second inspection of the car! They did not explain to me that re-diagnosis would cost as much money as primary. Very rude people! They wanted to kick me out of the office after I demanded to explain to me why they want money again! They started yelling at me and waving hands! Very inadequate people! Awful service! Not sure if their review is real .. I think this is fake! Maximum rating is one star!

They are fast and take care of things for a good price. Never had any problems, and usually am not even waiting there long enough to try and think of a problem. Every time I call ahead they tell me to just show up, so it's perfect if you forget about getting your smog check until the last minute.

VT Was great. Standard pricing that I have found at all of the smog stations in SD. They were very quick even with the line of 4 cars they had, I was in and out in less than 30 min. It is sad that they do not offer the $15 retest if you do not pass, however i have not found a lot of other places that offer this. I would certainly bring my car back here.

This is one of the best smog places I've been to...out of maybe 8 different locations in San Diego County. A super nice couple owns it and always seem go the extra mile to help however they can. Their prices are also very good (especially for a Test-Only Center).

Do your homework. Called for the cost for a smog test. $$$ Not the most expensive but $10 is still a lunch. Don't t know about their work, chose a different place to take my car. 4 Stars because of price and no specials or coupons. Look, a little incentive to get your customers coming in can be helpful. The other business gave me $10 off. Great incentive to go and see him. And one last tip. I called for your price to smog test my vehicle, the person who answered, kinda made me feel I was bothering them. I was calling to spend my money, not sell you a time share.

Very friendly and helpful folks. Fast service, I have a 90 Nissan 240sx (not all smog check stations can do older model cars), in and out in maybe less than 20 minutes. Place is clean, work area and lobby. Tom mentioned that if AAA member, can pay the dmv registration there, saved me time at the DMV! Will definitely recommend this place.

Inexpensive and fairly quick. The woman running the desk is nice, but extremely hard to understand. You never like the way other people treat and drive your car, but it wasn't the worst I've ever seen.

Absolutely the most unprofessional and rude company I have ever seen. I tried to call them to make sure they can take my car in and they were short with me and kept trying to hang up they also wanted to charge me $55 fee for a simple smog test. On top of that the guy literally hung up on me at the end for no reason. I would stay far away from this company. I don't think they're trust worthy especially with your vehicle

Always very professional. Almost all the bad reviews are from one person posting under different aliases. I smog several cars here every other year for more than 10 years. Never had a problem.

This is a great place. Clean, friendly, they wear masks, helpful and professional. He gave me lots of good information and they seem to care. I went to a place in Pacific Beach and they were horrible, absolutely horrible. I really like this place and I will come back. This place is fine for smog tests for the most part , I was told my 91 miata barely past the test but the paperwork said otherwise, since my experience was so bad I got extremely curious I had my car retested at no expense form somewhere else because I shared my story , passed with flying colors , the place was extremely unprofessional, the worker could not drive my vehicle so we offered to help (husband and I ) I was denied driving my own car multiple times here when I built the car myself . When the smog was finished they only let my husband drive it off the dyno , and wouldn t let me back in the shop . I took my paperwork and stormed off this shop is sexist and rude , and possibly tried to fail my stock cars smog test . 65 bucks cash only no free re test . I will. It be coming back here and ive made ice shared my story publicly on multiple forums .Service: Smog certification
