Have been doing business with the Truck shop since 2011, from repairs and maintenance to long travel, modification, small to medium size fabrication as well as a alignments and many more services. Came in with a need for new gussets/cam tabs. They provided great service and advice on not only a fix but a solution.Spoke with them on new suspension and provided input on best set up as I did not like the factory suspension as it is very soft/spongy. Went with Bilstein 6112 in the front and the 5100 in the rear. Night and day difference in ride quality, braking and cornering. Very happy with service and quality of work. I will be coming back!

Knowing very little about how to and where to take my truck for mods I was referred to The Truck Shop. After an initial discussion over the phone about some different wheel/tire/lift options I could do I was sold that I had found a place I could work with and I am glad I did. I have had my truck at the Truck Shop for a number of mods and have a few more planned. Not only do they great work but it is clean and beautifully done. In two scenarios their finishing work was so clean I didn t even notice where they actually performed the work. 10 out of 10 times I would recommend anyone who is serious about quality work being done to their vehicle to visit the Truck Shop.

I've been taking my Tacoma in for about 8 years now, and the service has always been incredible. James and the crew are easy to work with, have a ton of patience for my lack of knowledge, and I'm able to trust their advice and recommendations without having to ever worry that they're trying to upsell me.

I found this shop through a recommendation on Tacoma World while looking for a shop that had experience with alignments for oversized tires and it was recommended for good reason. Very knowledgeable, honest and friendly staff. I generally know what I m talking about with my truck, but I got the feeling that they d be just as helpful and honest if I didn t have a clue. It s obvious they know what they re doing wether you re building a rig for the Baja 1000, a crawler or just need some work done on a stock daily driver.

Found The Truck Shop on Google Maps as it s close to my home. I read thru the reviews and found that I should have been coming here a long time ago. They specifically specialize in Toyota and Lexus trucks and SUVs. They have very nice location right off Miramar road, close to I-15. I checked my 4runner in to have a second opinion vs the dealership. The dealership wanted to replace ball joints, tie rods and timing cover gasket for the low low price of $12,000.00. James and his team assessed that my ball joints and tie rods were just fine and performing perfectly. They could have easily went along with the dealership and recommended that they be replaced. Ended up having them do an alignment and rotated the passenger side tires that the dealership failed to do. I have found a new home to service our 4runner. The truck shop does more than just service they have a full line of all the popular off-roading/overlanding aftermarket accessories for your Toyota or Lexus.

Once again, now that James and the great team at the Truck Shop have now crossed over 400,000 miles of care for our family with nearly 230,000 on the LX 470, I can say that they continue to improve everything they do, especially the customer service side of things.Now I know why they are so busy....quality people and quality work, what more can you ask for these days.Well done!The coolest car in San Diego?YES and here is why.James and his crew at The Truck Shop look after 5 cars for our family and has serviced them for a collective over 300.000 miles, the LX470 for over 160,000 miles alone.Excellent work, no matter what the issue. If it is not right, James will make it right, no questions. Creative, cost effective and very customer service oriented.Always available, occasional pick up and drop off and with a little advanced notice, you get one of the small fleet of Scions, and they are pretty fun to drive.So YES! Nothing but great things to say about The Truck Shop and YES using the Scion is a nice service to have available from an independent shop.

I came into the truck shop with zero knowledge, a lot to ask and a short amount of time. Ryan and the team there were all super helpful answering my questions and gave me advice and shared their honest opinions about my options. I brought my truck in Wednesday morning and I told Ryan I was moving on Friday so he gave me a loaner car in case the project took until the weekend. I had it back by Thursday afternoon with a front and rear lift, new brakes, wheels and tires. They absolutely crushed it. I can t recommend The Truck Shop enough and I really look forward to using their services in the future.

Highly recommended!! I'd had this awful squeak in my truck for 9 months that ORW and the dealership failed to properly diagnose or repair, but The Truck Shop owner, James Ederer, diagnosed it as a bad heim on my King Suspension in only a few minutes. Hours later, the badly worn and ovaled heims were replaced and my suspension was once again silent! I also had them do the 50,000 mile maintenance. Fluids, filters, etc. Couldn't be happier. I'll be taking my truck there from now on!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

Called on a Thursday to see options for a Tacoma Lift. They took their time explaining the pros and cons of each lift. I ultimately settled on the Bilstein 6112/5160 lift. In a time of 2 month back orders, I was shocked to learn they had all the parts in stock. My truck was done within 24 hours and I picked it up on Friday! After looking at the lift, the attention to detail is awesome. I m very happy with the work. Will definitely use this shop more in the future!

The people at this shop are absolutely amazing! I made a temporary move to SD about a month ago, and I have no garage, tools, nor time to install my new SPC UCAs on my '16 4Runner. Someone suggested this shop on a "4Runners of SD" Facebook page, and after seeing all the positive reviews, I decided to give 'em a shot. I called in a few days ahead to get a quote and availability, and they offered very reasonable pricing, and said I can come right in, no problem.Brought my truck in the following week, and let them do their thing. Got the UCAs installed, an alignment and tire rotation, which only took a couple hours, even with all the folks that were in before me and came in after. Great work and very friendly people. They seem to get $hit done and get it done right!

These guys are awesome. I don't even have a Toyota/Lexus or Scion and these guys rocked out my GMC truck. A big shout out to James & Greg in the office as well as everyone else that worked on my truck.These guys actually care about your rig as if it were their own. They did a lot of work on my truck. It was brand new with less than 300 miles on it. They added 2.5" baja lift kit with King Coilovers, shocks, dampers.They had to custom install my Fab Fours Front bumper & Warn Winch and wire up and install my rock lights, light bars on the bumper and custom install led light switches that look factory.I needed wheels and tires and got them online since they were hard to find, but these guys even dropped them off at discount tire and picked them up and installed them on the truck for me.They also have a full CNC custom fabrication shop and designed and installed a killer solid aluminum rock guard cover over my drive train.I saw a ton of jeeps, baja trucks, and just regular Toyota's and Lexus in the shop. These guys are great. I'd recommend them for anyone that has a vehicle they work on. They have a nice waiting room as well and I met customers that have been going there for over a decade and love them.I definitely took my truck to the right shop!

Just Cant say enough Kudos to James and his crew. Ive had my 4Runner at his shop multiple times over the last few years either mod upgrades, and normal maintanance stuff like engine, trans, differential oils changed, to offroad mods and upgrades and always a good outcome.James takes care of his customers.I use to go to another offroad shop but everytime I went in for something, the bill would always be higher than quoted or they would schedule an appt and insist on a credit card deposit for the appt and if you miss the appt, you lose the deposit. You cant win customers like that and thats why I stopped going to that place and always go to the Truck Shop.No hidden charges and its done when they say it will be done and doe right.!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

The dealer wanted several thousand dealers to replace the rack and pinion on my truck. For a similar price, I was able to get a new rack installed, new springs and struts, ball joints and alignment. The overall experience at the shop could be improved, but you can't beat the value. I took my truck on a 600 mile trip through Baja which included extensive offroading and the recent work made a big difference. Would recommend.

This place is incredible. Not only did they crush my 4Runner modification upgrades. The entire experience is like going to a car show for free. So many awesome 4x4 roll in and out all day. Thanks for the hard work and attention to details Truck Shop Team!

The truck shop was fantastic from start to finish! James, the owner, is a true professional. He really knows his stuff and he is very reasonable. He gave me a diagnostic on the spot and he got my laundry list of issues done in less than a day! I purchased a bolt on bull bar for my car. The staff was friendly, informative and efficient. They made me want to purchase an older Toyota so they could upgrade it for me. I was very pleased with the work they did and the price was definitely better than expected!

Its been 1 year and a half since I had my rock sliders welded and they are still holding up. Only issues was 1. they forgot 1 weld and I asked to keep it raw and they paint it black. 2. Called me to pick my rig up and still waited 1 hour when I got there. 3. My kit came with some gussets that I adamantly wanted welded and they said it didn't need them. Overall, they know what they are doing but the quality is rushed imo.
