Luis saved our daughter's 14 year old Subaru from becoming salvage! Several other shops made "by-the-book" repair estimates far over the car's blue-book value. For much less than the other guys extra quotes, Luis repaired serious engine problems 7 months ago and it runs perfectly!He is a knowledgeable and skilled mechanic who uses his experience to correctly diagnose and make good recommendations for necessary repairs at fair prices. Our car was leaking oil and coolant from the engine, and had a pinging noise on startup, which may have indicated further problems. He provided two price quotes: one for the leak repair, and another to cover any additional work discovered.He disassembled the engine, replaced worn rod bearings, installed new gaskets and a clutch and honored his second quote.We are very impressed. Love this place. I honestly do most of my own repairs, except for the really big projects. Luis is fast, fair, and I've never had an issue with any repair they've done. I have two older Subarus and it's hard to find a good mechanic on the boxer engines. This place does it right. I highly recommend them.

My prius stopped working in the middle of the freeway and I went to Sun Independent Auto Repair for an inspection. The mechanic promptly gave me an estimate of when he would be able to take a look.He provided an accurate diagnostic (later confirmed at dealership), promptly, and did not charge too much (~100).

I love this place. Been coming to Sun for years, started at their downtown location and they took care of my Honda Civic for 20 years! Now on my next car since 2011. Honest, dependable and in and out in no time. Highly recommend them!

I took my car to have it check at this place , for a check out , it turned out nothing was wrong with my car and nothing was repair or replaced, still I got charged a good amount even though nothing was done to my car , I was surprise to know what I had to pay !

This place is a joke! I calledtoo see cost on replacing a part for my vehicle.. I already bought the part I wanted to simply see how much the labor cost would be. The guy on phone said he only use s his own parts and hung up. Very rude.

We have brought our cars here for years. We started with Maurice at 16th street downtown, then Lawrence, now Luis. They always give you the best service, and we always have reliable transportation. Highly recommend their great service, and reasonable prices. Our cars have been Toyota Forerunner, Toyora Sienna, two Civics, Accord, MDX, RDX over the past 20 years. They are experts and always use factory parts.
